Japan experiences an average of 1,500-2,000 earthquakes per year
Yeah, but majority of these earthquakes are minor and not even felt. However, i get your point, but if i was living in an environment that is prone to natural disasters, i will be more concerned about how to prevent one of it from taking my life, but yeah, people in such regions have to improvise with their back up, but i would never recommend online storage of seed phrase and private keys for obvious reasons.

and so that the second doesn't make you a beggar.

but yeah, people in such regions have to improvise with their back up,
The solution, as I believe, is one (in the case of offline storage) - to store the seed phrase in a location (another one) that is not subject to earthquakes.
The local password manager stored on your PC may also be damaged or lost.

but i would never recommend online storage of seed phrase and private keys for obvious reasons.
And I would recommend it if there are no other more reliable methods in a specific user case. Of course, taking into account some clarifications.
- seed phrase must be encrypted.
- this wallet should not store all your savings, but only a part.

You are not getting it.  A seed phrase is not a password - its the master key to your whole crypto stash.  Equating it to a banking login misses how dangerous it is.  A password manager keeps all your different logins handy so you can easily use websites and stuff.  But I dont really see why you would save a seed phrase in there when you barely ever need it, if at all.

Your approach introduces a single point of failure that is entirely avoidable. Dont store your seed phrase online, period. Its not "an option worth considering"; its a major security flaw.

I also got confused when he said seed phrase on a password manager. I never use password manager but what I know to them is they only store login credentials which is commonly email and password.

I keep my list of seed phrase on an encrypted file inside and USB drive and I rarely get to use it. I only use it when I have to add new seed phrase or login my wallet to a new device. It's never safe to keep your seed phrase to a device that is connected online. Hackers are more skilled now, even a simple website link can get you hacked. You never know when your computer or phone could get infected by virus or malware.
