If I where to advice newbie about cryptocurrency, I will educate them on privacy and security, how they should be security conscious about their  seed phrase to avoid being compromised by 3rd party. Newbie should be awear that cryptocurrency is a very risky investment that could make a person lose a huge amount within the twinkle of an eye. And it can also be profitable when there is surge in price but we can not take the risk to invest on any coin without making a proper research otherwise it will lead to lose of fund.

The advice i would give is to first and foremost do proper research and learn. People invest in projects without even reading a single sentence about them. They just saw a good advertisement or heard that someone made money.Also, one thing to be very cautious about when it comes to cryptocurrencies are scams that promise quick and easy profits.

Start slow but consistent.

What I learned from this forum throughout my eight ( years of journey is so start slow but consistent with my investments. I have took for granted the price of BTC when I first started (1 BTC = ~$4,000). Most of the BTCs I have received from campaign signatures were liquidated to my local currency, to which I used to purchase school materials and other college matters. If I could've saved my BTCs back then, I could've earned so much today and used it to start my own business in my country.

There was also a time were I stopped participating in this forum. I was away for around a year and this caused so much loss on my part in terms of opportunities on investing. I would come in from the security point of view

- Do not include the email connected to your exchanges in your regular device and do not use the device that has your exchanges and wallets for browsing and surfing the net, in fact there should be no browser in it. Have a separate device for your wallets and exchanges if you cannot afford a hardware wallet.

- Do not open emails from your exchange before logging into it to confirm from your notifications, scammers might use a near character-equivalent mail provider to trick you into believing it was from your exchange as a phishing attempt.

- When you receive unwanted mails in the email connected to your exchanges, delete it immediately without opening it.
