And so I saw this images somewhere and I was very sick at seeing how some gambler parents would carry along their kids to physical gambling centres to gamble while their kids either seat or stand and watch them doing this. It's just pathetic and highly condemnable. And am urging any parent out there if you have ever done this or anything relative of this action , please stop it. I find it as an abuse on the child's innocence.

And as for physical gambling centres who harbour such irresponsible acts by some parents in their gambling centres, shame on you. This  shouldn't be encouraged. I'll expect such parents be restricted from going in to the gambling shop with their underage.

A mother visiting a gambling shop with her children is indeed irresponsible gambling probably caused by poverty. There will be instances that these children will even be sent to the shop to place bet for their mother, a situation that will make the children to start gambling at a very young age. As much as possible, we should try to protect our children from gambling and all that relate to it.

To be honest, this is an inappropriate thing to do. Parents should understand that not everything is meant to be done in the presence of their children. Children are quick in learning things they see often, and exposing them to gambling at a young age can make gambling a normal thing while on their hand it will will influence their behavior. The casino store clerk should have prohibited the mother from entering with her children, because this is clearly an irresponsible act at all, the child does not know anything and is innocent and parents like her want to gamble while bringing their children. This is really sad.

Maybe there are rules in traditional casinos where the age limit is to enter and gamble there? Is the store free for anyone to enter?

Because this should not be allowed and the parents should be given direct advice.

This shows the level of poverty in the society today, and most especially African countries, from the image above you can see that those kids are not well kept and they look so depending on what their mother is doing as the sole survival technique for them for now.


I will not blame the governments for failing in their responsibility of protecting under age exposure to gambling, but also the parents for bringing kids to the world without properly planning for their welfare and the rest.

Regardless of where you found the image - this is definitely not what parents would want. They should not be taking their children to a land-based casino for any reason - let alone watching and enjoying the gambling atmosphere together. I don't like it - of course this is an act that should be discouraged even if gambling is legal in the country. Land-based casinos are not exempt from government regulation by nature - minors should be banned, but I see the image as a welcoming place for many of these irresponsible gamblers.

Such phenomena must be stopped - casinos must be strict and unfriendly towards irresponsible gamblers as mentioned.

I really condemn these kinds of parents who are addicted to gambling with their children. These parents can never be ideal parents for their children, not only for their children, but also for the society and the country. I would like to say about the people on the gambling platform, they should also be aware that they should not only make money, they must consider the condition of all these people and should not allow them to physically enter the gambling platform. If they had not allowed this woman to enter the gambling hall with her children, then of course the woman would not have participated in gambling with her children. This is kind of familiar sight in here. I've seen several parents do gambling with their small kids by their side or playing somewhere near the gambling places and one thing I've noticed that are pretty common about these irresponsible parents, they are all living desperately financially. They belong to a very poor community. So, this kind of doings are like a normal thing to them. This will be inherited throughout their generations, not unless if one of their children decides to step out and venture at the greener pasture.

Whatever the reason, it should still not be done by any parent. The children are still very young, even if there are guards at the gambling place, letting children outside is also not a good thing.
Although gambling is legal in a country, there are still regulations that definitely limit the age for access. Some betting places may not have strict security and regulations, so anyone can go to bet. In such a situation, the role of parents must think wisely not to bring their children when they want to make a bet.

It is quite depressing to see. A child should not be anywhere near any gambling site even if the parent will not take that long. It would’ve been worse if the parents went on to an actual casino and played. I think this shows that they had no one else to take care of the children but also they had the urge to bet. How will they even explain that to their children?

Honestly, poverty isn't an excuse for any parents to  lack a sense of responsibility towards a right upbringing of their children. It's like saying because you're poor then that allows us to teach our children how to carry out robbery in order to survive. I think these are part of the neglected duties of the authorities in our society that have led to such irresponsibility taken as normal towards the law. Very bad.

I can say with certainty that the physical gambling center that is seen here does not have a license and even if it does have a license, the legal system in the location where it is located is very fragile.

Otherwise, I do not understand how they can go to that center to gamble with an underage child and at the same time gamble in front of them. This is not only a matter of shame for those parents but the laws in that country should be stricter to those gambling center as well on those person.

From what I understand, this is something that happened in Nigeria in 2021, and it is something old, even here in my country at that time it was very normal to see children going with their parents to where they sold lottery tickets, the employees of the post office and other lottery companies did not prohibit minors from entering with their parents to buy lottery tickets. But in physical casinos they were prohibited from entering with minors.

Nowadays, gambling companies in my country no longer allow the entry of minors even if they are with their parents trying to buy lottery tickets, I believe that in Nigeria too nowadays it is difficult to see this kind of thing happening, because governments are more attentive and parents are more aware today compared to the past.

A lot of things are tolerated in my country because this will likely be in my country. I will not blame the agent but I will blame the parent because there is no enough regulation here and I believe in many parts of African countries also. But parents is the one that should discipline their children and not also take them to bet on matches in a betting agent shop.

These kind of parents dont know what its called self discipline or family training, they just jump into having children at the expense of having the urge to sex and never know the outcome what they are doing, kids are very sensitive to learning what they see and eager to trying whats new to them, infact, they imagine everyone there to be financially free and that everyone in that hall is financially buoyance and so their mother would join them very soon, and if they feel their mother is not getting the result they expected of her, the children picks up the lane and try out themselves by stealing their parents money to try out their luck.

Thats how the story of these young children going to be like if this mother keeps on repeating this step of taking them to the hall every single time she needs money. Its quite bad.
