Nigerian football league and teams can learn from PSG

I won’t be directing this to Nigerian clubs alone but the Nigerian League as a whole.
According to vanguard PSG Has become the first football team To publicly add bitcoin as part of their corporate reserve.

This is a very bold move from PSG, as a top tier European team bitcoin can boost their finance and help the club strengthen their team.

Nigerian football league and clubs can learn from this. Many might not know but the Nigerian football league actually have die hard supporters that are ready to support their team but with the poor situation of the League like poor infrastructures, poor security, poor player’s performance and poor availability of good players has left the league hanging by a thread.

One thing that can help a football league is finance. Take for example the South African league is a bit stable thanks to their financial power.
As the finance is not coming into the Nigerian league as it should they can start to convert fiat into bitcoin. Holding Naira as a struggling league or team will only make your financial status get worse, naira is very unstable and depreciating fast it is not beneficial for any Nigerian football team to complete have their reserve in Naira.

With how bitcoin has helped struggling countries like El Salvador I think bitcoin can put these Nigerian football clubs in a good place financially.


How una see. is it wise financially for Nigerian clubs and the Nigerian football league to have part of their cooperate reserves held in bitcoin?

My brother, no doubt say na very good plan and a step in the right direction from psg, but in the case of Nigerian club, the case dy different because most of our clubs for our local league na state government dy fund am, inside 100% of football club for our local league, like 94% na state government dy fund them, so you see the reason why this particular step wey psg take no go work for we country naija?
You and I know say our government no dy  too friendly when it comes to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency generally, so telling them to do as psg dy do is like telling them to accept Bitcoin as part of the national reserve for we country naija, so as for now, I no think say that one dy possible for our local clubs to exhibit.

This is a good one for the European champions this shows that they are a club that is focused on making a difference by investing parts of their income in Bitcoin this move is a welcome development that is worthy of emulation by others clubs because it will help them to fund their teams especially when it comes to signing of players and the sponsorship of the team but coming down to Nigerian team's and football as a whole we still have a big way to go when it comes to our club playing in the Nigerian leagues because the fact is that most clubs are not run like professional clubs but politics is the order of the day even in our football so nigerian clubs investing in Bitcoin is still a  long thing that is still a future matter

Before the Nigerian league teams will even think about investing in bitcoin, I feel the government would have taken a bold stand on that. It may be very okay for them to go ahead with the plan but if the government is yet to support such a move, like them also going to say publicly how bitcoin should be embraced and invested into, many of them will not be interested to make some of their investments in bitcoin. The Nigerian football league is a bit far from what this clubs in Europes are, so that creates a long gap between them before they can reach the stage which this ones have reached. Before the Nigeria league teams will follow on this path, by then it would have become a trend where almost all teams in Europe would have taken advantage of that and also emulate it.
