Companies seek profit only.
It's their goal and that's what they desire most, through tech or not.
They seek profit only and they are buying Bitcoin for this sole purpose. Their backup plan will be that once and if Bitcoin doesn't continue to meet their expectations which is continuous price increase, they will sell them all off. It becomes a liability and not an asset. They want something that appreciate in value consistently.
more reason to buy bitcoin, is it not?

i am sure these companies have seen what bitcoin is capable of and if they were smart they would have studied why bitcoin would be a great idea to hold for the long term if they do not believe in bitcoin then better to just leave it alone this will not be detrimental to bitcoin's growth as the rest of the world can still accept and utilize bitcoin

No, I am fully confident in Bitcoin potential and not think much about those giant company. It is our business to concentrate accumulating Bitcoin before we are late to buy Bitcoin at a low price. If I were the owner of Meta or Amazon, I will agree to accumulate more Bitcoin and will not stop it as that can increase my company wealth. We will not know when those tech giants will start accumulating Bitcoin unless they announce it to public. So that is why we don't have to focus with them but focus with accumulating Bitcoin for ourselves.

Looking at this from a positive angle, crypto investors should actually be happy that these huge corporations are still holding off on BTC. This means we're truly still early investors, and the opportunity for us in this market is just massive. I'd be more concerned if a ton of big companies suddenly piled into BTC, that could trigger an unsustainable bubble that might pop at any time.

I'd like to get your opinion on this:
Does the rejection by tech giants make you less confident in BTC's potential?
If you were the owner of Meta or Amazon, would you easily agree to accumulate more BTC?
When do you think these tech giants will start accumulating BTC?

Why are you so sure that the big tech giants would eventually start investing in BTC? I can't be 100% sure about this. What if most of the big corporations simply don't need BTC for their business? They need BTC only for the sake of preserving their accumulated capital reserves. Those companies view BTC as "digital gold" and a speculation asset only(which isn't a bad thing). I don't believe that Microsoft, Amazon and Meta are ever going to accept BTC payments. Don't be so naive about Bitcoin adoption. The process of crypto adoption can be easily reversed. What if the Trump administration suddenly becomes hostile towards Bitcoin? This is completely possible. Trump is absolutely capable of doing such thing.

1. No, it makes me more confident on bitcoin. Even though they rejected it there are still other companies that are getting their hands on bitcoin.
BlackRock is not small company and when such a big company has started accumulating bitcoin then other big companies will follow the lead too.

2. Obviously, even if I would not put a substantial amount into bitcoin I would still hold at least some of it if I were in their shoes.

3. Soon. The time will come soon.

Blackrock isn’t a treasury company. They also sell Bitcoin sometimes, and you could argue they were the reason why the price was stagnant for a while. The companies that are doing a treasury strategy are typically companies that aren’t profitable and are looking for a way to pump their stock price. For companies like Amazon and Microsoft that are already worth trillions, they would have to buy most of the circulating supply available on exchanges for it to really affect their stock price. This would cause Bitcoin to become illiquid and susceptible to extreme volatility.

That makes sense. In one way, its good that such big companies are not buying huge load of bitcoin.
If most of the bitcoin is owned by such big institutions then it would be easy for them to manipulate the crypto market.
Some are already doing it and the only way that changes is if the bitcoin supply becomes more distributed.

Bitcoin treasuries seem to be making their way up the list of companies...  It is only a matter of time before Apple apes in.  I think there are more than a hundred publicly traded companies that have Bitcoin on their balance sheets now.  These large companies just have shareholders that aren't interested in stacking Bitcoin.  They want to focus on their core business and I don't blame them.  Eventually they will come around though.  Microsoft and Amazon had opportunities to vote on whether or not to stack.  The chose not to.

1. Does the rejection by tech giants make you less confident in BTC's potential?
I dont know about rejection but actually there are already those corporations already accepting Bitcoin. Some might be that still in neutral but actually there are already those who
have been that accepting for a while now. Recognition is on the move and inevitable but it cant be denied that there would be still who are in observation mode because they will be that trying out to
observe first on the outcome or results of other who had first integrate out Bitcoin into their busineses.

2.If you were the owner of Meta or Amazon, would you easily agree to accumulate more BTC?
If you are an owner then you would always that go with the trend and since crypto adoption is becoming that more relevant as years passing by and tons of people are already wary of it,
then its not that bad to consider out on adding it up on your options or having those integrations. As long it will be bringing out that positive results or advantage into the business
then you wont be that hesitated on doing it up.

3.When do you think these tech giants will start accumulating BTC?

Ok making up some search on Chatgpt and here's the result.

MicroStrategy (MSTR)
BTC Holdings: Approximately 423,650 BTC
Estimated Value: Around $42.43 billion
Overview: MicroStrategy, a business intelligence firm, is the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin. Since 2020, it has adopted a "Bitcoin treasury strategy," acquiring BTC as a reserve asset.

You are right that more public companies are holding Bitcoin and it is big topic of discussion. Major reason why huge companies like Apple or Microsoft are not all in yet is because their investors want them to stick to their main business and Bitcoin price swings can seem too risky. However as Bitcoin becomes more stable and regulated its appeal as safe investment or way to fight inflation might grow possibly making these big companies more comfortable with it in future. Corporate world is definitely changing its view on digital money and it will be interesting to see how these major players react.

Well like you said sooner or later they will come around because it's all around the fact they haven't actually seen a good reason for them to stack up some Bitcoin which I can say it's poor insight. Their are companies like micro strategy that have been steadily acquiring and adding Bitcoin to their portfolio and they have benefited a whole lot of which I can take for many other firms to learn and follow up.

Bitcoin is everyday growing and also boost a huge opportunity for anyone or company who is accumulating in large amount although I think most times its because they are scared of the Dip or the wide range of what could go wrong with their assets that have made them stall in terms of acquiring Bitcoin.

I guess that's the disadvantage of being a tech giant, they can't do drastic action like accumulating BTC without the investor frowning.

As a result, the company hardly innovate and late to the game, they always stick to the old ways of generating revenue while the smaller companies are trying something with the crypto technology.

Personally, I don't really worry too much about them not accumulating BTC, if they aren't accumulating now they will accumulate in the future, it's possible that they become the fuel for the next cycle.

As of now, even the likes of MSTR already putting billions of money in the market and that's good enough.

Just because they don't invest in bitcoin or crypto doesn't mean they're behind the times.

As you said, they are tech giants and most of the tech products we use on a daily basis are provided by them. That means they are always at the forefront of innovation.
Apple and Microsoft have market capitalizations exceeding $ 3 trillion and are among the largest companies in the world. How can we say they are slow and backward?

After all, investing in bitcoin is also about making a profit. But we need to know one thing, the revenue and profits these tech giants earn each year are up to hundreds of billions. Meanwhile, Microstrategy's bitcoin investment has earned them just over $20 billion in profits in four years. This makes me wonder if these tech giants need to invest in bitcoin?

Companies buying it makes it more and more regulated as time goes on.

More funds flowing in from them => more regulations going to be put there eventually by the higher ups..

I'd like to get your opinion on this:
  • Does the rejection by tech giants make you less confident in BTC's potential?
  • If you were the owner of Meta or Amazon, would you easily agree to accumulate more BTC?
  • When do you think these tech giants will start accumulating BTC?

1. Many of us invested in bitcoin before the government legalized it, and before institutions and companies invested in it. Why should we lose faith in bitcoin just because of those who come after us?

2. For large corporations, such important decisions require a vote of shareholders. No individual can decide for himself.

3. Soon, because bitcoin is inevitable. Even governments are starting to look into adding bitcoin to their national reserves, corporations can't stay out forever.

    • Does the rejection by tech giants make you less confident in BTC's potential?

Regardless of who it is, I will continue to believe in the potential of Bitcoin. Whatever these tech giants do, whether they want to invest in Bitcoin or not, it has nothing to do with me. Because I have always believed that Bitcoin has potential and it will continue to be that way.

    Quote
    • If you were the owner of Meta or Amazon, would you easily agree to accumulate more BTC?

I am not an owner of Meta or Amazon, so I can't comment on that. But if I had a business, and had excess liquidity, I would consider a few things in the business, and then if everything was in line with the business plan and there were no immediate needs, I would probably allocate a few percent of that money to invest in Bitcoin on a regular basis.

    Quote
    • When do you think these tech giants will start accumulating BTC?

Maybe today, maybe tomorrow, next year, or 5 years from now, no one knows when they will start allocating Bitcoin, because each company has its own considerations before they invest in Bitcoin. There are things to consider in their business, especially if the company is a public company, they may see the decision of the board and shareholders to decide the company's plan to invest in Bitcoin.

Nothing prevents the major companies mentioned in OP from accumulating Bitcoin, and they may be accumulating it now without announcing it publicly. These companies connection to the global financial system is the most important reason preventing them from joining the adoption wave. The situation of companies is not like that of governments, and decision-making is not as smooth as in political life, where decisions are subject to various considerations.

I'd like to get your opinion on this:
    • Does the rejection by tech giants make you less confident in BTC's potential?
    • If you were the owner of Meta or Amazon, would you easily agree to accumulate more BTC?
    • When do you think these tech giants will start accumulating BTC?

This is just telling us that the adaptation isn't really that far and is encouraging to everyone. Although we don't care if these big companies are not accepting bitcoin, their participation still has a huge impact on crypto development due to their influence. You just think, OP, that if they hold, the market circulation stops. No, because these companies will not keep their bitcoin forever, the same thing from small investors. They might not see this time as a good time for accumulation. But sooner or later, they will see their names on the screen.

Most large companies listed on a US stock exchange (NYSE or Nasdaq) are subject to reporting requirements with the SEC under the Exchange Act. That means they can't buy bitcoins on their own or secretly without permission or without reporting it to the SEC. Even if they silently buy BTC through OTC, they still need to report it in their quarterly financial reports. They can't hide them because it's the law.

Also, large corporations are managed by a board of directors, which means that the consent of major shareholders is required and they always want everything to be public because this involves legal risks.

It's clear we're seeing some serious corporate action when it comes to accumulating BTC for businesses. Honestly, the list of big companies holding BTC just keeps getting longer, and the crypto community isn't buzzing as much over news updates like "this company bought a few hundred BTC" or "that company snagged a few thousand BTC". Even I'm not overly impressed with the amount of BTC Strategy is accumulating anymore – maybe we just got used to this pretty fast!

However, most of the companies currently accumulating BTC aren't the absolute giants in the market. Back in late 2024, shareholders at Microsoft and Amazon passed on accumulating BTC, and we recently heard that Meta made a similar decision. This is interesting, especially since Meta wants to roll out a stablecoin to really dive deeper into the crypto market. This news might have been a bit of a letdown for some crypto investors hoping to see the whole world jump on the BTC bandwagon and push prices up fast.

Personally, I think this is totally normal. Microsoft, Amazon, and Meta are all massive companies. Every single decision they make is crucial and can really impact the direction of an entire empire. They simply have too much to protect, and they're willing to wait to make sure their future decisions are super safe.

    • Does the rejection by tech giants make you less confident in BTC's potential?
    • If you were the owner of Meta or Amazon, would you easily agree to accumulate more BTC?
    • When do you think these tech giants will start accumulating BTC?

    References:
You caught a very good point. The fact that Amazon, Microsoft, Meta and these giant tech companies with billions of dollars not investing in Bitcoin means that we are still early investors. I have a rule for Bitcoin investment. If the price is lower than its all time high, then it's the right time to invest if you stay here long-term.

    1. It's not a rejection by tech giants, they also work on their own payment systems, so Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies at some point are competitors of Amazon Pay, Google Pay, Apple Pay and etc... They might adopt Bitcoin very soon.
    2. I can't judge fairly because I'm not the owner and god knows where Amazon or Meta would be if I were the owner, I don't have any experience and there is a big chance I'd make very stupid decisions for the company but to be fair, I'd accumulate more Bitcoin because it's innovation, the future.
    3. I think that they'll start accumulating Bitcoins after the next one or two halvings.

    • Never occurred to me that Bitcoin is actually facing rejection by the tech giants. Does not buying bitcoins equate to rejection? We have so many other people who are yet to buy bitcoins for now, and I am certain that as we progress and as the world keeps advancing, they would have no other option than to love Bitcoin and look in its direction.
    • Accumulating Bitcoin, especially when it affects my business, is something that is done after careful thought. The situation surrounding the company will determine how easy accumulating bitcoins will be. Other than this, I might opt for accumulating with my personal finance if it is that necessary.
    • I have no idea exactly, but I am confident that they would someday.

Tech giants will eventually join the community. It's not a matter of if but when. If they won't, they would face the unnecessary risk of getting obsolete. Honestly, is fiat the future of money? They probably don't think so.

If I were the owner of Meta and Amazon, I'd be accumulating Bitcoin as early and as much as possible. Of course, I have my bias. I'm already into it, after all.

It's possible they all will be part of the community less than a decade from now.

They just don't see nothing wrong with continuing as they are, but as time goes on - pros are becoming just bigger and bigger, and they cannot be ignored.
