Looks like this thread is making more sense now. The Indiana Pacers winning the championship is starting to look real, with them already leading the series 2-1. Now we’re about to witness Game 4 in a few hours. If the Pacers win again, I’d say there’s a 90% chance they’ll finish the job.

And now we’re back to reality, with the series tied at 2-2. The Pacers were leading for most of the game, but they collapsed in the fourth quarter, which allowed OKC to even the series. I think we might be heading for a Game.  OKC could win the next game, then in Game 6, the Pacers might even things up again. It’s still possible for the Pacers to win the championship, but after that loss, their odds have definitely dropped.

For 42-43 minutes the game had been under their control, but then Mark Daigneault took a time-out and changed the offensive play of OKC, making the adjustment that gave them the win. Idk if OKC has a bigger pressure than Indiana, they don't look like it. Especially SGA seems like he is playing in his courtyard with some friends rather than in the NBA Finals. Game 5 is crucial for both, as it has been for every NBA Final series. If Indiana wants to get the title, it will need to win this, and Halliburton will have to score more 3-point shots than 1/7. Btw, great defence from Chet Holmgren on him.

Pacers take their own medicine since they are doing this on the 2 games they won against OKC. OKC play the uno reverse card on today’s game by reserving Shai on the last quarter while Pacers is already tired on guarding OKC and maintaining the lead until the 4th quarter collapse.

This series is so interesting because both team is just playing mind games with strategy to beat each other.

I watched the game too, and that’s exactly how it felt. SGA was getting foul calls pretty easily, which probably frustrated the Pacers since they weren’t getting the same calls. The refs seemed quick to blow the whistle for SGA.

After seeing that, I have to say this article actually makes sense.

Yes, and when we thought that it's already a victory for us who bet on the Pacers, not sure why they become gun shy and not that aggressive or just settling for the outside shot. I guess that's one downfall when you rely on your shooting from the outside, when it didn't fall, you go on panic and didn't know what to do.

But let's give the Thunder that win, they are really under pressure but they deliver. Now, they are going to play at their homecourt and I think it's a big factor for any team to play in front of their fans and then winning and taking the lead if ever for the first time.

It's not only crowd noise. First of all at home you are plying in front of your family and friends, which gives you a huge motivational boost. Also, you have your regular routine being in your home city, that also makes a big difference.
Then let's not forget about the refs which first of all also get influenced by the home crowd  cause you don't want to make them too angry. It's not a big secret that home teams most of the time get more calls then the visiting one.

Pacers got manhandled in both games in Oklahoma but came back from a huge deficit in game one, couldn't do the same in game 2. So yeah, OKC is strong at home and we shouldn't talk the Pacers stronger than they actually are.
Obviously the truth lies on the field and we will know more in 48 hours.

I like Pacers especially how they destroyed Knicks amd Celtics on the road to the NBA finals but I've been fanning OKC for the most part of the regular season and in this playoffs. So, as much as I'd love to see them win, I'd rather OKC wins it because I've grown fun of their young team with the likes of SGA, J-dub and chet are on it.

I have nothing against Pacers and love whenever Haliburton comes alive—its always insane to watch live.

To be honest, I like the moneyline, but playing it safe is also a good strategy.
As for the concern about Chet, I think he’ll be playing as he assured the fans that he’s fine and can move normally.

So everything seems normal; it’s just that OKC has the home court advantage. But that shouldn’t be a problem for the Pacers, since they’re ready to extend this series.

Shai is unstoppable, though. I guess betting on player props for Shai feels like free money at this point.

This is a good appreciative thread. I'm not a Pacers fan but knowing that history makes me continue to bet on them even with those high odds given to them as underdogs. It's no doubt that we'll continue to see them being the underdog until this series is done. But the Pacer are worthy to be recognized that they're not just a simple underdog, they can have games twisted based on how they've played for the past games that they have and even in the playoffs. We've seen how they're able to win back those games that should have lost them already, there's the kind of magic with this team that people just can't hate even if they're a hardcore OKC fan.

Yeah, the Pacers got a lucky break in game 1 and in game 4, a must needed win for the Thunder, they come back in the last crucial minutes. So both of them are capable to win at the road not just in this series, but in their previous games leading to this finals.

Hopefully, Chet can still play as he is the another option for the team to score and grab those rebounds. Otherwise, someone will have to step up again in game 5 to cover for Chet. But that way I look at this finals, it could go to game 7 decider.

It's the end of first quarter, and the OKC Thunder is leading by 10 points now. Although the Pacers has history of making a huge comeback, this time, If the Thunder get a huge lead, I don't think that they will simply give it up just like in game 1. So it seems that the underdog Pacers have reality check in game 5. They have a good chance to take 3-1 lead by they blew it up in game 4. Now, as you have said, if everything is normal and OKC's mindset is back, then it's simply just a matter of how much they are going to win. I haven't check the initial like, but it could be like -9.5 and handicappers might be right again.
