What’s your real definition of a “win” in gambling?

If youre a hardcore gambler and definitely aiming for a solid win or one that can be called winning then the proper definition of it is somehow you be able to get all the losses from previous gambling activity and covered all of it including the potential money or profits from the winning. Thats how you can describe a total winning. If you win but still not able to covered some loss then you are still with debts with your fund loss.

That is one good definition of what a win is. Someone who's able to make a solid win and has got it with a huge odd really means a lot and can be said as a win.

But on the latter part when a gambler still has a lot to recover and still got a win, they can still call it as a win as long as they are happy about that.

IMO, the essence of telling if it's a win or not is how we can say that it is and it will come from us. So, even if having that said that it's not yet a win based from the opinion of other people but in actuality it is, it is our personal opinion that matters from that point.

Victory in this context I think can be interpreted as several things because in the end there is something that is interpreted as victory when we gamble and get profit, victory when we gamble but do not exceed the limits that we have set and the goals we want where gambling for fun and can be responsible for what we do in gambling. As long as there is life I believe there will always be days that the casino will be unlucky and I will be the lucky one since luck varies hence I would come back to keep trying luck. It's not certain that one will win but if I could be lucky one day and win, I could be lucky another and still win so I keep coming back even with the losses because the probability of win is still there.

A true win to me in gambling is hitting a max win multiplier at least x50.000 up to x300.000 and for me this would be a dream come true if I ever happen to hit this. The bet amount I don't care I can be happy even with the minimal amount of 0.10 dollars though of course I would prefer to hit such a good max multipliers with a bet more than that. A real win would also mean that I am able to play the game and within 15-20 spins during the normal game to get that max win, this is something that used to happen a lot years before but now rarely I have seen a max win from the base game. I have been once near winning the max win of x10000 and got x9883 in Fish Eye slot from Pragmatic with 0.05 minimal bet.

At least the max win cannot be achieved by everyone, especially with a fairly high multiplier in some slot games we have tried with thousands of spins, only a few of us won with the multiplier.

The game is more about uncertainty and when you try to minimize lose, you might even face more losses unless you stop gambling because the more you continue to gamble, you will experience losses and profit repeatedly. You might win today and when you think you have maximized some profits that day, you could loss everything the next day. So, it's not fixed, winning is having your money doubled at that moment you are wagering.

The points you mentioned are certainly logical. In most cases, a common tendency of gamblers in gambling is that they gamble to recover their losses. Again, I have seen some gamblers who have been gambling for a long time to achieve a goal. They think that whatever they lose in gambling, they will definitely win big at some point which will recover all their previous losses. The definition of winning is definitely the same for all gamblers, which is when they can make a profit.
The profit may not be the whole thing because if calculated it turns out that more has been lost in the game before winning, but gamblers will still consider it a win.

Depends how do you see with the gambling for, other seeing a gambling as part of money which its a potential to them an extra money if they get a money they will consider this as a win but of course depends again with the satisfaction of the player how does the limit of their win, others consider gambling as win once they play and seek a fun to enjoy, not all the time players are in a luck to win a huge sum of money but they are keep hoping to have with so they keep playing and chasing to earn and play.
