My condolences go to the bereaved families, wish they find solace and may the soul of the departed rest in peace. What tragic incident, i couldn't celebrate democracy day in my country Nigeria yesterday after the news. This is just a reminder that life is a gift, and we should live upright because we will all depart from the earth one day. Well his story is really traumatizing having to lose a full family at once in a horrible way. However, everyone on the plane does have a story too which we don't know about , as none of them on board that plane deserves such end of their lives. This is so painful. Life is indeed a mystery; or should I rather call it a miracle? Just today, I was scrolling through Facebook and saw a testimony claiming that Ruangsak Loychusak, who was seated on seat number 11A, was the only survivor of the 1998 Indian plane crash. This year too, the only survivor was still seated in the same seat number. Although this brought back memories, I just couldn't help but wow at the shocking revelation. Could there be something special about that particular spot? Some say seat 11A is close to the emergency exit.
A lady that was meant to also board the very airplane got her flight cancelled after being 10 minutes late of her flight schedule time. According to her story she got stuck in the usual Ahmedabad city road traffic which led to her delay. Though she was disappointed on missing her flight but was later dumbfounded minutes after she heard about the crash of the very plane she was supposed to board. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.com/news/articles/cvgv26zz5wzo.ampWhen I watched the survival interview today I was so sad that such natural disaster could happen and a reminder to and airplane crash way back in 2003 here in my country involving a belview airline that claimed the life of 214 passengers, and not up to a month another sosoliso crash killing about 115 passengers, so, aircrash have become a global menace that need adequate revivals and development to avoid further incidents or limit there possibility.
Airplane crash landing has always been a devastating one, so terrible that hardly do we get survivals out of it. I think there should be strict checks on airplanes conditions if they're still good for operations hand there shouldn't be any form of compromise for any which doesn't meet quality assurance requirements either by average lifespan or maintenance. Because airplane crash is the worst accident that passengers are most less likely to survive.

Before I would like to give my condolences to the deceased, I would like to say it's very sad to see that the fastest, most comfortable and prolly the safest means of transportation has now become the fastest way through which a lot of people die aside from war or conflict. The air crash took the lives of so many in less than hour, this is the disadvantages of technology. In as much it has come to make things easier for man it sure one way or another kill's man.
My condolences to the family that lost their loved ones today. I pray for strength to recover.

It was probably pure chance that he survived because of that specific seat and I'm sure there were lots of factors as to why he survived. Statistically I think it's generally considered the best to be seated near the back of the plane in the event of a crash, but that would not be the case if the plane crashes by the tail hitting a building or the earth first. The tail end of this plane looks to have remained intact too, but only literally the tail end. I also wonder what the outcome would have been had the plane not crashed into a building. Maybe they could have landed it successfully if there was an open field or on a road etc.

While we mourn those who have lost their lives in this unfortunate incident, we should not also fail to celebrate the lives of those we can still see breathing. Many years ago, I came to realise that there is an appointed time for everyone to leave the earth's surface. If it's not yet your time, nothing is going to kill you. You've already said it, the survivor survived by chance. Although we don't pray for any of this to happen again, the next person who sits on seat 11A might not be lucky if something like this were to repeat itself. I wouldn't appreciate it if seat 11A begins to increase in price, thereby making money from unfortunate incidents that have happened in the past. That is not a business strategy; it is pure greed.

This is the first time I have ever heard about the tragic accident of the Challenger being a scam or having anything to do with a scam. Are you implying nothing died that day during the launch of the rocket or something? Because that is quite controversial, considering what I have read about the story of the accident and the people who sadly lost their life in what was supposed to be a travel for the sake of science and knowledge. It is pretty obvious to me that plane was never supposed to take off in the first place. It suffered from some defects which were overlooked during maintenance. So if someone is to be pointed out because of this tragic loss of human life is the chief of engineers and technicians who were supposed to be in charge and with the responsibility to see if the integrity of the plane was suitable to take such a long flight from India to England. Anyways, unfortunately this news is going to be quickly buried and forgotten about as we continue to see more tragedies happening this year, many of them having much to do with wars and local conflicts in the middle east. One can only hope families of those affected and diseased will get answers and people held to account.

An accident is a lifelong cry. In this accident, someone has lost their father, someone has lost their mother, someone has lost their brother, someone has lost their sister, someone has lost their child, and some families have been completely wiped out.
There is nothing we can do except express our condolences to the families affected by this tragic accident. There is a lot of fear in any accident, but a plane crash is the most terrible.
There is no human presence here, so proper observation is very important before the plane takes to the sky.
Accidents are horrible but we don't have any choice but to get ourselves involved with the things that cause accidents, life is risky yet we want to live. When persengers boards a plane they're told about safety tips because accident can occur at anytime before landing in a destination. Everybody knows that the plane can crash yet they're willing to take the risk. In time of death the only thing that the living can do is bury the dead and condole with their loved ones. Let us only take risks that are worth taking so if the unfortunate happens we won't suffer for nothing.

Update on today 12tth July.  According to the India’s Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau, from their investigations so far as regarding the crash, it's gathered that the fuel control switch were both turned off even before the airplane took flight which led to the plane engines not receiving fuel to function. Although it is not confirmed if any one of the pilots carried out the act or not. You can get the full report here

One of the pilots or someone in the cockpit with knowledge, for whatever reason including a possible suicide or terrorist act decided to cut the fuel lines - first one and then the other - right at the moment in which it is more critical and dangerous to do so.
Cutting the fuel is nearly impossible to be done by accident The switches need to be pulled and the switched so that it cannot be done by a casual inadverted push. After the lines are cut-off, even if they are put back into the right position, the engine has already lost the momentum and it is nearly impossible to bring it back in time to avoid the accident.
So...yes, someone in the cockpit decided to crash the plane, knew how to do it and did it in a way that nobody could have then prevented the crash.

yes, this is very concerning and i think this is why indian authorities included police official in the research now, they must be going through pilot history and their social media and mobile records etc. imo, the co-pilot who was the young pilot was flying and the captain was monitoring so in my view, the captain the elder one was the one who might have cut-off the fuel i don't believe it was accidental as these switches do not trigger so easily so, maybe he was suicidal and did what the captain of mh370 did

I am not a pilot and I don't play video games, but it seems to me the reason the gear had not been raised is because one of the pilots's hands were on the fuel shutoff switches depending on which pilot was operating main gear while other was assigned for the rotation or take off. Voice box shows too much of a time gap in communicating and too calm attempt to re light both engines almost intending for there to be a full flame out making recovery impossible due to altitude and angle of ascent as you need nose down or level at best and altitude to recover but even a relit engine would still cause a stall at this height and angle...just an amateur opinion of course but it certainly looks very suspicious unless it was some mechanical fault with both switches but as far as I know they are both mechanically independent of each other so any trigger mechanism would have to be co joined for this to happen I would imagine and the manufacturer would have already factored in this scenario in my amateur opinion. I don't think people should speculate on the matter further until absolute proof is given as this would be a terrible burden of grief upon the family of any pilot accused of such an horrific crime to take so many lives as it would not be just murder suicide but mass murder suicide in such a case and whomever the burden of proof lies with should test it to its extremity in this case.

Anybody with experience would have realized that it could easily mean his own death if he shut off the fuel flow. The fuel would have had to been shut off some little time before the plane started its way down the runway. Could a saboteur have left the plane before it started its runway journey?  Unlikely with so many eyes and cameras around. I would not prioritize considering very improbable if not implausible scenarios just yet. People need to learn some patience. This is a big disaster both for India and for Boeing, I don't think they can afford a coverup of any kind.
