I already said that this study wasn't peer reviewed, but instead of saying it could be biased, you could just take a closer look their methods and results and explain how it could be biased, and what kind of research you would want. I don't personally think that saying everything is biased and more studies is needed is constructive, but that's just me.

AI was made to take the human factor out of higher math. Mathematicians found that Quantum Math presented different CORRECT results, depending on the mathematician doing the math. AI is supposed to find out what is really right by taking the 'human' factor out of higher math.

My take from this is that, in a long run, if unaided group would keep using their brains for tasks, they would develop their brain because of training, while AI group would eventually lose even their existing skills (at least when it comes to writing essays). Because if you don't use your brains, those connections on the brains wouldn't be needed either.

Every part of our body has a specific function. We are created in the image and likeness of GOD, so every part of our body has a purpose. Now, suppose you let AI replace what your mind or brain is intended to do.
In that case, you are betraying the purpose of the part of the body. If you let AI replace your brain's function, then it will become useless over time, and you are committing the sin of not honoring what the Lord has given to you.

Practice improves performance. If a brain doesn't practice, it's inevitably going to perform poorly. The study makes total sense, and if you observe people who make use of AI too often for everything (especially ChatGPT), you are going to conclude they aren't getting smarter, but lazier. They don't think by themselves anymore, rather they just copy and paste questions on ChatGPT to do their homework and tasks in general.

What the AI replies to them is perceived as legit, without further questions. This phenomenon is specially observed among young individuals. Months ago, a colleague told me she doesn't read anything anymore, as ChatGPT summarizes everything these days, being necessary only a ctrl + c, ctrl + v.
