first half of the year done... bitcoin dominates

Bear run is coming for bitcoin but for altcoins… I don’t think they will collectively have a good season anymore. Not many of them have reached new ATH anymore.

Yeah, even I think that altcoins haven't really had their season yet and hearing the same from others I guess they are done for this bull cycle.
We might not have altcoin season anymore but for bitcoin I believe the bull season is not over yet.
We have seen bull cycle hitting the peak near the year end and if we follow the same thing then we still have a few months where bitcoin might create a new ATH.
It did hit $110k recently and so it has been testing the resistance level and I believe it will create a new ATH soon.

Honestly, not everyone needs it and those who need it are not for privacy protection, to protect their independence from centralized institutions.

In my observation, many people around me still do not come to bitcoin or cryptocurrency, and those who need it only for profit, want to get rich quickly from it. They do not use it to protect privacy and stay away from centralized organizations. All that may be just theory, because the reality is very different, people don't need that, people just focus on making money from it.

Time run so fast, now +6 months this year. The next months were positive in the last bullruns, there were green moths in july and august. Then later in october - november a nice pump and again and again new ATHs. I imagine that for this year again, but nobody knows. There are many postings on x that look very good, but that is also speculation. I have seen many and some of them repeat the run from the last 2 bullruns, a comparison from 2017 and 2021. For me, I think it’s rather fulfilling how far Bitcoin has come in this year. At most we expected that it did $100k and it is well above that now and has maintained a good momentum till now.

Don't forget those traders who lost their money as well because of the recent events that happened such as the Iran-Israel war, the tariff dump that made by Trump and many more. Maybe we can include that on the losses as well.

Will I continue to trust Bitcoin? I have trusted it for a long time, so why shouldn't I? I mean I can't see any reason why not to because it has been the top cryptocurrency, and the most trusted cryptocurrency for most of the investors. Market volatility isn't a reason why we should not trust and invest into Bitcoin anymore. If you believe that Bitcoin will reach $115,000, $120,000 or even more this year, then you can invest into it AS LONG AS you're ready to accept losses as well if things go south.

For sure, many will buy at that price, but let's not forget that there are also investors who are willing to buy even the price is at $20,000, $30,000 or even at $50,000 so there's a possibility that this might not be reached anymore.

I have been studying about Bitcoin for a long time. From the beginning till now I tried to understand everything all the ups and downs. in the first half of 2025 the crypto market was not very stable. Many people were worried. But even during this time Bitcoin did really well. Altcoins usually go up in price very fast but then they fall just as fast. Most of them are just hype. But Bitcoin is different. People trust Bitcoin more. It has a strong base. People's trust, belief and dreams are connected with Bitcoin.
Even if people try other coins, in the end, they always come back to Bitcoin.
Now many big companies are investing in Bitcoin like BlackRock, Fidelity, MicroStrategy. Some countries are also thinking about keeping Bitcoin in their reserve.
I believe Bitcoin is not just for making profit. It is also a symbol of financial freedom. In the future, Bitcoin will be more valuable and more important for the world.

Obviously there were too much expectation on where the price of Bitcoin and cryptos would get to when we first hit 2025 the ground running, there were so many expectations on the altcoin market but things never go as expected and we ended the first half of the year on a positive note for BTC, but this bull market is about utility bull run, and only Bitcoin have done well

headlines such as: Bitcoin Carried Crypto Markets in 2025's First Half as Altcoins Crumbled are spreading as report suggests that crypto market has increased by 3% but seems to be all thanks to bitcoin. even then, people are still hoping for an altcoin season. anyway, bitcoin gaining 13% as said in the article and popular altcoins declining shows how strong bitcoin has been and sets a good precedent for what is about to come in the second half of the year.
