If I could recall somewhere last two years in altcoin especially memecoin where making waves which lot of people solely rely on memecoin to make investments while lot of people advise not to entirely put their bags in one basket by holding only shitcoin, even as then we see more terrifying testimonies about their profits and gains in those coin, at same times we see lot of people crying out loud on how they loses their hand earned money while some says they loses their tuition fees to a specific coin over the media. But today we do no longer see such hype anymore as bitcoin has been the only driving coin in the market and the altcoin season finds it very difficult to flow in and take its place as usual. I want to know will there be any altcoin season this year, and if yes why hasn't it come yet?

Altcoin season hasn’t arrived yet because Bitcoin isn’t in a strong bullish phase. Maybe once Bitcoin hits around $200K, that’s when we can expect altcoins to follow.

But here’s my doubt, as Bitcoin continues to attract more attention from institutional investors, the strength of altcoins seems to be weakening.

So what might happen isn’t a full-blown altcoin season like before, but rather just a few select altcoins pumping and reaching new all-time highs. We might not see the same crazy altcoin rallies of the past where some coins went 100x from their original price.

In my observation, the market is still divided into two camps, there is still no consensus on the future of this year's altcoin season. People who don't invest in altcoins don't believe that there will be an altcoin season and vice versa, people who invest in altcoins still believe that the altcoin season will come sooner or later.

Honestly, I also invest partly in altcoins, so I believe altcoin season will come sooner or later. I believe that if bitcoin hasn't peaked yet, it still has the potential to break the ATH and hit the target that many predict is $150k or $180k. There is no reason why altcoins can't grow and altcoin season won't come if bitcoin continues to grow.

People who don't invest in altcoins don't believe that there will be an altcoin season and vice versa, people who invest in altcoins still believe that the altcoin season will come sooner or later.

Honestly, I also invest partly in altcoins, so I believe altcoin season will come sooner or later. I believe that if bitcoin hasn't peaked yet, it still has the potential to break the ATH and hit the target that many predict is $150k or $180k. There is no reason why altcoins can't grow and altcoin season won't come if bitcoin continues to grow.

Well this could be true and for sure there must an altcoin season but currently when bitcoin created new ATH we didn't experienced that from any other altcoin neither does the altcoin market makes any significant impacts towards the altcoins, but even as that we still watch bitcoin still going higher than any other coin it doesn't still reflects to other altcoin but, checking from the coinmarketcap I have seen coin that doesn't obey the movement of bitcoin and when bitcoin are up they are down and whenever bitcoin hand is down you see them creating new price level.
What just happened is that we must be hopeful that one a day it would come though it might be ending of this year which is Q4 and the beginning of Q1 2026.

I believe it will come Q4 this year, but it could even go into Q1 next year.

It will likely be a boring summer, but once September is here I expect a good end to the year for altcoins like we saw last year.

There will still be many coins that see 10x - 20x return during altseason.

Altcoin season needs some strong fundamental to make it happen but that would be after Bitcoin have been in a sustained bullish move. For long Bitcoin have been bullish but the move is not regular as it has been followed by series of corrections and consolidations. I still believe that we will see the bull run that which will be followed by the altcoin season before the end of this year. This is not a financial advise though, just my expectations.

There is only one reason why anyone thinks there is going to be an altcoin season and it is because it happened before. There is no other reason at all! The demand for altcoins is weak, they don't solve any real world problems, there are thousands of L1 and L2 copies of each other doing the same thing. Each new coin makes the existing ones weaker. Why would there be an altcoin season?

In the previous halving phase I must admit that the altcoin and memecoin seasons got their share in the market, but now the cycle is not visible at all. Large fund flows are more focused on bitcoin because the wave of adoption continues to make bitcoin the main center. As a result, many altcoin projects are stalled because they do not get liquidity, including entertainment in memecoin. If we look again at the cycle after the latest halving, altcoins and memecoins are still struggling in their place.

It's normal that altcoins/memecoins are depending on Bitcoin bullish phase to have their season. Altcoin season hasn't happen, still in front and waiting for Bitcoin to reach its peak, only then can we witness altcoin season. Pump are going to happen in any altcoin but not considered the altcoin season because it doesn't have effect on the market generally.

It's indeed very difficult to predict altcoin seasons, but if we look at past patterns, we may be able to align our predictions. These predictions can be right or wrong, but sometimes history can repeat itself in the future, just sometimes at different times.

If we look at history, we can see the BTC cycle in 2021, when BTC corrected from 40,000 to 30,000, followed by an altcoin season and BTC's ATH of 69,000. Therefore, the 2025 altseason, given that Bitcoin's price is now starting to show a positive trend, could possibly reach 150,000, possibly when BTC corrects from 150,000 to 100,000, possibly followed by an altseason and then reaching the next ATH.

Maybe we might just mistaken the altcoin seaosn as a time where altcoins will be in the same wave trending as bitcoin, but in fact it cannot always be so, because their mode of operation is of course not the same. Personally, I feel the altcoin season that many are anticipating for may not come again and even if it does, we will not witness it as it has been happening in the past, this is a different cycle and many things changed in this cycle which we never saw in the past cycles, so those changes may also affect the altcoin season.

Some are also of the opinion that the altcoin season already took place earlier this year or late last year when bitcoin first made it to $100K, so we should not expect another special moves in altcoins to mark another altcoin season and it may never come as expected even if it eventually happens that we witness another one in the future.

No one knows if there will still be some altcoin season. Bitcoin is stomping the entire market and it's the only one that moves a lot. Although I see a lot of altcoins are also moving together with it. And that for that reason, it means that there's something that people are missing especially those who bagholds altcoins in their portfolios and mostly put their money into meme coins. If they have just started it earlier and they have made their money on Bitcoin, they're now raking in profits if that's what they do.

Yeah, some are die-hard or loyal only to one but when it comes to diluted, I think bitcoin has it more because it is earlier than the other. For those that can as well consider the alts, they are also picky and go only on the quality ones. This is why as you said, there are alts that doesn't pump. But I almost forgot that even a junk coin can pump too if they are being manipulated or shilled very well.

Market cares because it displays the coin and their statistics but if we take it in a literal sense, yes they don't because they are non-living thing although it is also possible that you are going to say institutional investor according on what is said earlier.

In theory, Bitcoin is attracting fresh capital from institutional investors, but altcoins are not. The number of altcoin holders who are relying on the shift of money from Bitcoin to altcoins is very small, especially since the amount of fresh money entering the crypto market is not as large as institutional purchases of Bitcoin.

However, some altcoins will soar to the moon, I'm sure of that. However, an altseason is unlikely, with the crypto market cap not much different from 2021, but today it has a very large number of products that exceed 10x the total number of new products created during this cycle.
