I'm not really into TON or alts in general (maybe with the exception of a couple of them) but I must say this is very interesting.

TON hodlers can now stake 100K $ (plus a one-time 35k $ processing fee) worth of Toncoin for 3 years in exchange for a 10-year UAE Golden Visa. This could also include your immediate family members (parents, children, and spouse) at no additional cost (aside from the goverment fees). It's interesting if you thing that with just 330 usd monthly (more or less) you can access to a VISA that allow also business.
If you have enough TON this could be an idea... but generally it's more cheap than other "pay" options.
Definitely could worth the expense.

Anyway, if you are looking for a VISA I have seen other places that allow it for a fraction of this amount...

Do you mind sharing? As far as I know, this Golden visa allows you to both work and study if you want to. I don't think there are many options out there that provide that, and if they do, you probably won't have the same work opportunities as you would in UAE, but I could be wrong.

I think that I've seen people that have chosen this kind of VISA to do business in UAE. But the golden visa ticket is way better, only if you have a lot of money.

This is right, this path is better because it allows you to bring your family and at the same time work there as well. For just holding and paying that processing fee, it's attractive but it's a lot. Maybe they have to lower that down although I think some other choice for golden visa is way more than that and it's an actual investment into their country. Whilst for this, you hold and stake and after 3 years whatever is the value of TON, win or lose, you'll have to bear that.

Good deal imo for anyone that is interested in such but I'm not because I only like Bitcoin and maybe a few other coins that doesn't include TON so I'll skip. This means that you must stake $100,000 in Ton over a period of at least three years, plus a $35,000 fee. After that, you can apply for a Golden Visa. Right? But isn't this amount alone enough to obtain extended residency in the UAE and enjoy all the benefits? I know entrepreneurs who have invested much smaller amounts in projects they launched in the UAE and obtained permanent residency, or renewable residency depending on the circumstances.

Okay, the idea is good, and I find it an innovative way to adopt crypto, but I don't think many will benefit from it, since anyone with a surplus of more than $135,000 wouldn't need this visa, even if they were in paradise, not the UAE.

On the other hand, I would like to understand how this positive alliance between Ton and the UAE authorities arose to grant such benefits. Is it intended to attract substantial investments? But the three year staking period is too long.

Yup. I was just about to reference the same article. It seemed too good to be true lol. I assume that even if it is true, they'd have to be a way to verify ownership of the staked TON tokens and the original announcement being shared all over the place had little to no details about the verification of ownership.

Yes sure. Please be aware that this is just a "basic" research. I mean, there are many updates on this matter (likewise this one posted by UAE).

It could be necessary also do some evaluations related logistic and so on:
- your country of origin (this change a lot for visa).
- you will LOSS your previous nationality (and passport)
- you need also a business license
- you need citizenship or also a passport

Nations that are allowing these visa (identified by me):
- Thailand (5 years visa)
- Laos (1 years visa)
- Paraguay (3 years visa + passport)
- Japan (3 yeas visa - the expensive option of the list - aronud 4K USD per year)

Others that offers similar options (I am still studying, its full of explanations online and it depends what you're looking for...)

The country of origin then definitely plays a big role here, unlike Dubai's offer. I can say with confidence that most countries of the world cannot get access to pretty much all countries you mentioned here, especially not European countries.

Did you not read this reply? As of now it looks like this was a case of fake news. Although if it were real, I wonder what amount of corruption is needed to get a program like this going.

The initiative in question stems from an independent collaboration between TON and a licensed partner specializing in blockchain infrastructure and tokenized assets. This exploratory effort is developing outside of any formal arrangement with the UAE government entities.

To clarify, no official Golden Visa program has launched in partnership with the government of the United Arab Emirates, nor has any governmental endorsement been granted to TON.

This collaboration is in the early stages of development. It reflects a broader effort to explore how compliant, blockchain-based frameworks might eventually support real-world access to residency pathways. Any offering would be subject to all applicable laws and regulations.

I hope that there's a strong ties between that but it seems that this isn't verified yet with the post above. UAE is a rich country and there are a lot of incentives for those who want to make business there. And so, let's wait if there will be development like this but I've got an idea now that any project could do these partnerships if it's allowed by the UAE government.

I'm not sure if I understood the second part correctly? but if I did, no obviously you're not going to be able to travel for free, not even if you had citizenship and that applies to all countries. The cost you pay to travel is for the airlines, not the goverment of UAE (or any other country).

Means how this partner can establish such an important program regarding residency and Visa without the authorities being involved. The statement from the government denying all rumor news is much more logic than this one from Ton foundation. At least they can tell who is this called "licenced partner".

That's a prestige benefit and bold move from ton for partnering with a major company. Some might not benefit from it because they don't really need it, but this is a strategic move from TON and will mark them as an asset with legitimacy and accountability due to its partnership. But for those who seek the benefits of it, it's a complete package tbh, Dubai is a crypto friendly place.
