It depends on gambler. Someone will prefer to push the button and don`t use brains, the other will prefer to spend few hours to make high quality prediction. The same time, the main part of gamblers have no problems with addiction - if i remember correct just about 1% of gamblers becomes addicts.
As for me - i use slots for rest with minimal bet after hard day and it is enough for me. About 2 years i was seriously in betting - it took all my time but it  gave me good profit. When i understood that i can`t combine good prediction and main job i left betting and bet just if have several free hours.

Both are addictive, sports betting, especially for those who do enjoy analyzing matches in certain sports, the process is fun and gives a different sensation to bettors. Especially if the prediction is right.

When I first stepped into the world of casinos, this happened to me in slot betting. Even though my device was not very good at that time, it worked a little slowly. The slot game was so fast that I didn't even get a chance to close the entry. The entry was made while closing, and later, I lost some of my money in that round. True, but that doesn't in anyway relate to their addiction problems. My point is, there isn't some specific type of games that drives gamblers into addiction faster than the others -- what about other factors that can possibly create the habit? Like prolonged play time, huge wager limits, isolation and boredom, passion and curiosity?. There are actually a lot of things that make up that reaction.

Some times I see people saying people should avoid gambling because it causes addiction and I ask is it only gambling that people get addicted to the answer is no, some people get addicted to video games, when I was in the university I have a roommate then in my hostel, he was so addicted to video games that going to classes was a big problem he can stay from morning till night playing video games and he was spending a lot of money doing that, so is not only gambling that people get addicted and is not the kind of gambling you play is your mentality, for me no kind of game I will play that will make me become addicted to it, I hate addiction and once I discover I'm doing something too much I stop it immediately, I like being in control of my own self not something controlling me.

If you understand gambling as a game that is not certain, and even if a gambler plays different games, the understanding that is there about gambling will make one gamble in the right way that won't be a problem for the person.

 It is not about the number of games being played that will determine if a gambler will be addicted or not, but what really matters is how you see gambling and how you understand it. If addiction is all about the number of games being played, then it means gamblers who only play sports games won't be addicted, yet there are many gamblers who play only sports who are addicted.
