What happened to BTC.com and blocktrail.com

Does anybody know what happened to BTC.com and blocktrail.com? In the past, I was using Blocktrail as an alternative of blockchain.info as a Bitcoin blockchain explorer and later btc.com (aka Bitmain) acquired it. Today I typed blocktrail.com in google search and on the first place there is a domain recovery.blocktrail.com, which lead me to Bitcoin recovery service, which looks suspicious for me but when I visit blocktrail.com website, it leads me to DANA4D - Situs Slot Online Super Scatter Trending, which I have no idea what it is but I know that it has nothing to do with btc.com or blocktrail.

The recovery page is legit as far as I know, I think you can find it on github too. BlockTrail/BTC used to have a wallet service before shutting down, but it was not a simple non custodial wallet. If I remember correctly, it was multi sig and that's why this recovery page is needed.

I think BTC.com shut down and is selling their GPUs through that platform linked on the homepage.

But who knows what happened to the ASICs.

Perhaps it's the usual tradition of increasing prices from the halving forcing unprofitable miners out of business.

 https://github.com/blocktrail/wallet-recovery-tool is an outdated version. There should be a newer one to recover your funds.  Recommend you to search it online.

Outdated or not, it's still made by their official developers, open-source and the live version is working just fine.
Plus, the actual wallet isn't available nor updated so there's nothing much to add or change in their recovery tool.

If you're talking about an updated fork created by someone else or an unaffiliated website,
there's a chance that it's a malware rather than an updated version, so why take the risk.

What site was redirecting to blockchair.com? I'm confused. I was visiting blocktrail.com, which is old and was one of the most popular blockchain explorer years ago. They also had the option of when you were typing a Bitcoin address, it would look for that address on bitcointalk.

I also believe that blocktrail is acquired by someone but at the same time I can't believe how BTC.com let such a premium domain to expire. https://recovery.blocktrail.com/ looks like a legit thing but then when I visit blocktrail.com, I see a website that promotes Dana4D slot? That doesn't look like blocktrail, so that's why I believe that blocktrail.com is acquired by someone else and they are trying to scam people via https://recovery.blocktrail.com

Then I visit their github https://github.com/blocktrail/wallet-recovery-tool and See the live version of tool. redirects me to recovery.blocktrail.com, so what's happening? Did developers forget to update their github and the scammer takes advantage of this?

Bitmain is making so much money selling miners to industrial mining farms these days that they couldn't give two cents about promoting bitcoin or spreading knowledge.

It's a company that in many occasions has shown complete disregard about the retail consumer. Pushing back orders, canceling coupons, fake launches and whatnot.

Sadly it's an oligopoly and bitmain remains a top player. China surely has been favouring them due to the cash they keep bringing in. I wonder why Trump hasn't tried to promote American mining chip production to beat them to it.
