hahah that is a funny question, obviously it goes to the pocket of the casino?? But! Due to forum pressure, protecting public image, etc etc
a lot of casinos would eventually let the user get that money regardless. But, if the wrong doing of the user is severe, the casino is keeping that money,
maybe in good gesture they might reimburse the initial deposit, but not guaranteed!
The money will be in the casino especially if that is a scam casino. They will not let their members get their money and will not give an answer to their questions. Maybe the casino hold the fund because casino found something suspicious with their members. So they need to check everything before they process the next thing. But if that a good casino, they will let their members get their money after the checking finish.

That is why you need to research before you choose the casino. That will help you to stay away from a scam casino.

You are absolutely right, there is too many scam casinos out there which people sign up for without doing any research on them before doing so!
What a big mistake! Thankfully, a lot of people can view forums like this one and then see ratings of good, reputable sportsbooks that wont do scams to users.
People must be educated on good sportsbooks.

And who are these reputable casinos?

Anybody that is not ready to do research before using a new casino is doing that on his own risk. There are too many casinos currently and majority are good while others are not taking any chances at all for your to win the house. Some would ban your account while some could accuse you of cheating with no evidence. Since they hold your money, you won't be able to do anything rather than to complain and when no tangible answer is giving to you, you will have no option than to leave the casino while they are holding your funds. We ought to be very careful what casino we are using to bet.

Reputation keeps changing on a daily basis, sometimes the casino can be so good and all of a sudden get an ownership change and turn for the worse!
There have been many cases like this both in crypto books and regular fiat books.

I recommend you search the forum to see what people say about specific sportsbooks, check other forums, check reddit, and talk to other
people and ask them about their own personal experiences. Once you get enough data, I think you can form your own opinion on what books are good.

It does seem to be the case that a lot of the time, a casino / sportsbook will use KYC as an excuse to keep winnings, but more often than not they will at least let the player withdrawal their deposit. Its important to distinguish this ("winnings" as opposed to "winnings + deposit") because keeping a player's deposit due to "KYC failure" is a big no-no, and shouldn't be normalized in this industry.
Did you know that for this reason of KYC excuses by some casinos as means to deny gamblers their winnings, some gamblers has taken it upon themselves to immediately pass KYC just after registering on any new casino/sportsbook but still there are those platforms that still find some clumsy excuses by asking for extra level of KYC which they never asked after all the times the gambler has been using their platform, but just after getting a large win they realise they need certain documents which they know will be difficult for the gambler to provide especially since they are the ones to decide if those documents are worthy or not as requested.

At the end of the day it is a business model casino owners are using to screw the player and provider. I would like to know the amount of revenue a casino is making by the confiscated player winnings per year. It should never be allowed to deposit and open an account if the casino really cared about which country you connected from. But it is allowed for the hope of players using the site, winning and not passing KYC. I mean come on thats what I/you would do. Players need the providers to hold the casino accountable so we can all weed out these scam and crooked casinos. Even the "reputable" ones.

Just a question for some if you have the answers. I see sll the scam accusations towards the casinos for holding funding and/or blocking accounts on KYC failure. So is the casino keeping these funds that players are winning? And is this why there is such an up surge in the KYC bs everyone has been dealing with? Obviously the providers aren't aware of the scam accusations and KYC denials so safe to assume they are clueless on the payout? Now isn't the provider just as liable to pay the player their winnings as the host platforms?
Providers aren't involved in anything financially. The casinos are keeping the money. There are some crypto casinos that have been doing more of this lately. You'll see them in scam accusations. It's much more rare outside of the big crypto casinos. Sports players should be wary. Anyone that these sportsbooks deem a winner, where they know the chances of getting their money back is slim, is at high risk of having money confiscated.

razed is the number 1 culprit. they steal your winnings and deposits
