WORM is a cryptographically scarce ERC-20 token created through the destruction of Ethereum (ETH) in a privacy-preserving manner. It is minted by consuming BETH, a private proof-of-burn receipt, which is itself generated using zk-SNARKs. WORM transforms irreversible ETH burns into an economically meaningful, scarce asset without requiring changes to Ethereum’s consensus or base-layer mechanics.

By leveraging EIP-7503, which standardizes Private Proof-of-Burn, WORM introduces a new class of cryptoassets whose minting is rooted in permanent ETH destruction—shielded from on-chain surveillance. The protocol introduces hard emission caps per block, ensuring WORM remains cryptoeconomically scarce even as ETH burns grow. WORM is designed to be usable, composable, and private—fueling a new generation of decentralized finance, payments, and speculative applications.

Here you will find the instructions to participate in the Lindwurm incentivized testnet! Users who will help us in testing the network may earn community allocations of the future WORM token!

In order to participate in the testnet you'll need:

• A machine or VPS or dedicated-server with at least 16GB of RAM
• Debian/Ubuntu operating system
• At least 1.0 Sepolia ETH which you may get from Sepolia faucets

1. Install requirements:

2. Install Rust toolchain:

3. Clone the repo:

4. Download parameters files:

5. Install `worm-miner`:

6. Burn some ETH and generate and submit a proof:

7. Congrats! 1.0 BETH has been minted for your address! Check by running:

8. Now run the miner:

   Where:
      - `--min-beth-per-epoch` is the min amount of BETH you are willing to consume in order to participate in any block.
      - `--max-beth-per-epoch` is the max amount of BETH you are willing to consume in order to participate in any block.
      - `--assumed-worm-price` is your assumed WORM/ETH pair price.
      - `--future-epochs` is the number of epochs you would like to participate in in advance.
9. Let us know your Sepolia address on X!
