The negative impact of the gambling industry can be attributed to a few gamblers who gamble for profit and become addicted in every generation. Instead of limiting their money allocation, those gamblers are attracted to aggressive gambling. After losing once, they try again and lose repeatedly. They continue to gamble more to recover their lost money and become addicted and thus become poor. Families and society evaluate those gamblers negatively. Gambling is not bad, but those who lose their savings due to addiction are irresponsible and stigmatize gambling.

It should not be denied that gambling has a positive effect on people. A large number of gamblers gamble for entertainment. Gamblers who are experienced and lucky can benefit positively from gambling.

I still continue to gamble because it is one of my sources of entertainment. I do not gamble beyond my weekly allocated so I do not fear additional losses. The amount allocated for gambling should be the amount of money you can afford to lose.

Well if you think it's all bad, why are you still gambling?

We all have different gambling experiences, and I believe that gambling can have positive effects on people's lives. Because I have seen very few people who have had their lives changed by gambling, and where I currently reside, I don't think anyone here gambles for fun because most of them gamble in an unencouraging way, which hasn't fascinated my interest much in gambling. The experience I had on gambling, my loses are higher than my wins, and the majority of gamblers here, I don't know if they are achieving anything great from it, though they may be hiding it, but the way they show up themselves borrowing money, selling some of their properties and still returning to gambling from that experience I had is the reason why I don't support it much or seeing anyone in that situation. I believe that there's good side of it, but talking from my experience.

It is not entirely negative --- there are some people when they lose consider gambling bad but when they win gambling is positive.

As long as you don't overdo it there is nothing bad because there is still a good purpose for fun and can make money although this will be pros and cons.

But it is true that so far there are still many people who think that gambling is bad in their view rather than thinking about the positives, because there have been many cases of gambling.

Sometimes ago I was in dear need of money up around $120 in my local currency, and for that time I only have around $37 iny possession, only two options are open and left for me, 1: is to ask for a loan from my bank to cover up my $120 expenses
2: is to gamble with the money not the entire money at least $20 out of my available funds that time, I took that risk and in the end I was lucky to win a bet of multiple tickets that accumulated around 10 odds in total and that winning cover up for all my financial needs at that time. So gambling is helpful and good to me in that regards, gambling is doesn't have any bad side  for me but we need to do everything within a set limits that draw back from over doing things that can lead to loaes for us.

Reading this your post gladdens my heart to at least know that gambling has come through for someone. It helped meet your financial need at that time. It is good that sometimes we share the good things that gambling has done for us, and this will motivate others and it will make us not to see gambling in that negative light that most people are painting it to be. The truth remain that many forget the good side if gambling base on the approach they used towards gambling one thing is paramount about bad news is that it fly more than good news is like a light in the mist of darkness no matter how little it always overshadowed the darkness that's how bad new damaged good , ordinarily gambling has help many both psychological and financially in solving their problem according to how they understand it with good approach only those who are mix guided on the right approach that only see the bad aspect of gambling without remembering the good part. The true good side of gambling is actually that talks about having some fun and entertainment and this had been always the main reason on its existence in the first place. It is just that becomes negative just because of on what people that are doing and that what makes it a shit thing. It all matters on how someone that been treating gambling on which if you've been that treating it to be some sort of fun and leisure time then this what makes it that good but of course you shouldnt be that letting yourself that getting addicted because this is where people do usually failed up on doing so because they do lose control as the time goes longer on dealing up with gambling. Gambling isnt bad as long you are that responsible into the actions that you've been doing and its always been that recommended that you do know on what you are that doing. Its just that people do easily that become impulsive or becoming that not be able to become that having the good control when it comes into their funds or capital. Whenever you have lost it all then you should know on when to call it a day. Never ever tend to make it to be that some sort of source of income because once you do have that kind of mentality then it will be that bringing out that kind of desperation on which most of the time it would be leading into disaster.

I will say bad definitely. Because I can't find any good side of gambling, to be honest. Even if you win a big amount, it's good for a while, but later you may lose again, so I will still say gambling is bad. The question is similar to Is alcohol bad or good for health? When we are drunk, then we feel good for a while, but it's bad for health. So even I sometimes drink alcohol but still I say it's bad. From gambling, very few people become rich, really very few. Most of the gamblers are just losing constantly. If most of the gamblers start winning, then who will lose, and how will theget their winning money?

Gambling is kind of like an addiction, like alcohol. Even though it's bad for our lives, we are still gambling. We just dream once a day; we may win big, and then everything will be good. For that hope we keep continuing gambling and keep losing. So why is it not bad for our life? Whether for professional or nonprofessional gamblers, I will say it's still bad. Governments are benefiting from gambling; our country alone generated 50 billion pesos in tax revenues, so many jobs and industries benefit from gambling. These are the good sides of gambling: users also benefit from their playing as long as they do their best to practice responsible gambling.

The bad sides of gambling are documented because many people gamble in the hope of making it their cash cow. If they treat gambling as a form of entertainment, we will have fewer complaints and fewer users turning their lives for the worse because of gambling.

Well, gambling is not always so bad, sometimes you still manage to win and it gives both an increase in money and positive emotions. The thing is that most gamblers will experience the opposite effect, unfortunately. From the positive one, we can highlight the effect of inspiration and some inspiration that occurs in the process of winning and this effect is stronger, the higher the stakes. Despite the negative consequences, people can continue to play because of the hope and anticipation of a big win. This seriously stimulates to overcome difficulties (losses and negative emotions) and continue to go towards the cherished dream. There's Good Side Of Gambling which is fun and the money you may get from having fun, there's nothing that is so interesting than something you use money for in other to have fun which you can still get money from it, some years back me and my friends usually go to game house in other to play different games the main reason we go there is for fun and will pay for the service and after playing and having fun we come back home, now when it comes to having fun in gambling you pay for it and if you are good at it you get money so this there's good side of gambling, having fun and making money.

funny enough no matter the level of bad things people have said or that is in gambling it will not completely stop people from going in to gambling, in my personal experience from different gambling options and games, if anyone at any point in time feels gambling is not good enough for them then they should quite while others continues until they feel otherwise, gambling for fun is the best and that is where we can have less worries about gambling, most times I win and I lost too and I only decide to gamble back whenever I feel like without struggling and with an amount i can do without in the cause of lost.

Certainly anything that has an advantage must surely have a disadvantage, so to say there's certainly a positive sides of gambling but mostly due to occurrences and set backs while gambling the negative sides of it has over powered the positive sides. But if you ask me what it is I'll say they are things we experience whenever we gamble which is the fun we get, the wins and jackpots and so many more.

There is a good side to it. We just don't realize it sometimes because we are focused on the losses.

It adds thrill to the game. Those who are fans of a certain sport (i.e., basketball, football, baseball) can add some spice to the game, especially those who have been watching it for a long time. I mean, sometimes it gets boring because we are too used to what is happening in the game, but by betting even a small amount, we can make the game more entertaining because of the money that we put on the line.
It doesn't have to be a high amount that we cannot afford to lose. Just the right amount that will make us jump when the team we bet on wins the game.

I have fun analyzing games, betting money on them, and seeing the results. Regardless of whether I see that I lost a bet, it's all fine with me. It's been like this for years. I look at gambling as entertainment. There were times when I won and celebrated, and there were times when I lost and moved on. I try to analyze where I went wrong in my analysis to lose.

But I don't expect to make money consistently from betting, and I don't bet every day. Sometimes I take a vacation from betting. Whatever has a bad side also has a good side, in gambling, the problem is that the bad side out ways the good side physically , and the problems are visible for everyone to see, just like an addictated gambler and you know the problems associated with an addicted gambler, and so it is always a physical reference to people which is always used as an example to avoid your loved ones going into gambling activities.
The good side of gambling, make you intellectually smart, having good management strategies of life, having positive impact on ones mood, helps relieve stress.

Gambling helps the brain to function properly in the aspect of giving you pleasure and satisfaction when you win or being excited is through the release of Dopamine, and we all know that the main aim of gambling is for fun and because you are always happy when you have fun, you will want to go back gambling, and that is what Dopamine does to our memory.
So the zeal for us going back to gamble even if we don't win is caused by Dopamine.

Dopamine plays a major role in controlling you memory, your sleep, learning abilities how to be focused, the movement and other body functions .

I'm pretty sure if you read the thread in this forum, many of them don't talk bad about gambling. Instead, in other forum or social medias (not about gambling) will talk bad about gambling, or maybe in real life, from 100 people I met, only 1 person say gambling is good *^{with terms and conditions}.

There's a definitely good side of gambling, it's making the owner rich and the employees can live.

have you never gambled or stayed enough in the gambling space to have known a lot of things about gambling all by yourself? why do you think gambling companies are still booming till date if there are no good side about gambling? every day, people win bet, that way, gamblers are gaining. everyday also, people loose bets and that way the casinos gains. through that means, both the gambler and the casinos continue to gain from gambling and that is enough good for all parties involved. the reason why the bad side is mostly spoken of is because people generally do not like to lose and when they lose, the easily lament and make it sound too serious even though they still win at other times.
