Hi, I have a new Antminer S1 that I bought for a collection from someone about 5 years ago. I'd like to know if anyone has any idea how much it might be worth. There aren't any for sale so it's hard to find information.

you need to find a collector as it is pretty much worthless for mining.

Yes, mine is new, no signs of wear. I don't plan on selling it right now. It's just to get an idea. Yes, I know it's not at all profitable for mining, it's more for collecting.

Yeah, I guess he might but is $10k not a huge amount though? Except the person collecting it is just going to be excited by the novelty of owning an Antminer S1.

I get what you mean because it's how you package a product that determines how much value can be attached to it.
8k being the maximum is a good enough deal to start the bid at because if they want to counter, they can give a price that could fit into the price range they want.

I'd advise you to sell it off as quickly as possible because this sort of things may drop in value and even if it's meant to be a collectible, you'd hardly find buyers.
