Another week of European competitions has passed, where we saw Benfica and Sporting losing their games, and Porto and Braga winning their games.

Now in round 8 these four teams will face each other. We will have Sporting hosting Braga, and the great classic game Porto x Benfica. In the derby, we're all waiting to see how Mourinho's team will react, given that they've been going through a rough patch. Will they bounce back?

What will the games in this round be like?

I think Sporting will beat Braga in tomorrow's games
Sporting is doing relatively well, but Braga hasn't been playing well in recent games, and I think it's almost impossible for them to beat Sporting

Porto vs Benfica
Theoretically, Porto is the favorite, but I'm not going to bet on that game. I think it's very difficult, and I wouldn't be surprised by any result
I think a draw is quite possible

Difficult games to bet on, but probably worth watching both 

Those games will be very exciting to watch because these teams are going to be fighting for a points that will give them a chance of winning the league title, although sporting is still showing signs of not giving up and any small mistake from Porto, they will have the chance of getting to the top of the league table, Porto is playing against Benfica and the match will be very tough because both teams know how to play against each other and they can defeat each other in the match, Some may consider Porto the favourites to win the match because they are in better form than Benfica, but everything is possible in my opinion.

Sporting's match against Braga is also one that could surprise us because Braga can look very strong against the other top teams in the league and can play well against Sporting and want to end the game draw, but with Sporting's current performance, they can defeat Braga in order to close the gap with Porto.

While Porto might seem like the favorites on paper, Benfica can’t be written off. As for Sporting, their match against Braga is equally crucial. Braga has a reputation for stepping up against big teams, and they will surely want to disrupt Sporting momentum. But Sporting has been quite consistent lately, and if they maintain their sharpness, they could very well grab all three points and close in on Porto. Every game now feels like a final leg, so any team are playing with their strength.

It's unbelievable that they scored an early goal, in the 19th minute, and they didn't concede a goal until near the end of the game. When the game was in the 90th minute, I said to myself that they won this game, but when I was about to stop watching the game, I saw that the referee awarded a penalty. Honestly, this was a heavy blow for Sporting, as things haven't been going very well for them this season, as they have in recent seasons. I see each round becoming clearer that they will have many more difficulties ahead and have a high risk of not becoming champions.

Well said, Yeah, that game was really tense but kind of Disappointing at the same time. Both teams looked like they were playing not to lose but going all out for the win. You could feel the pressure in every attack, but neither of the team could shake the net with a goal. That Benfica chance that hit the bar to me it was actually thinking it’s going to be a goal for sure, but if the ball was positioned just a bit lower and the whole story of the match would have actually turned around. And Porto almost stole it at the end with that shot off the post, so both sides definitely had their moments. And in the end the game ended a draw at least both team no gree for anybody but to me they would have done better and give us a winner, because both team are actually strong and good in scoring goals.

I watched the game, everything was going relatively well, but once again the Portuguese league surprised us with those last-minute goals
It's not uncommon for me to lose bets like this. I remember one season where there were MANY games that had those last-minute goals, last-minute penalties...

My expectations was really high about this game, so, after watching game I was really disappointed. I was struggling to not fall asleep in that late evening. It looked more that both teams were playing for draw. Though, in very end of game Porto had good moment too when they hit crossbar.
Sporting - Braga game was much better to watch, but it didn't ended how I wanted. Braga had to burn my bet on last minutes - you don't expect such things from them when you see how poor they were playing until this round.

Mourinho admitted that given the physical and psychological conditions of the squad, there were no conditions to have a game on the attack.
Therefore, he prefers to set up a strategy with the objective of not losing.

That is true because I was expecting plenty of goals this weekend from the top four teams talking about Porto vs Benfica and even match between sporting Lisbon vs sporting Braga. Especially in the Porto game which ended up in a goaless draw it was boring for a game of this status to end even without a single goal. Because this two teams are teams that produce a lot of goals anytime that they meet.



I was not happy with the performance of sporting Lisbon because, with the current unstable form of Braga that sporting will win this game. Braga has been struggling even against small teams and getting an away draw against sporting really came to me as a surprise.

We can start by saying that AVS is having a terrible start to the championship, with zero wins and seven losses in eight games. The team is not the best, but I also think such a poor performance was not expected.
Looking at Estoril, they will also be a little below normal, with just one win and three draws.
Alverca, a brand new team that has just reached the first division, is performing well, currently in 9th place, ahead of Nacional, a historic team.
Braga, on the other hand, is also not having a good start to the season, only managing 2 victories.
The main teams, Porto, Sporting and Benfica, are naturally at the top, with 4 points separating first and third place.
The team that has been suppressed so far is Gil Vicente, in 4th place, with only two defeats (which were against the big teams).

This must be the worst Braga in recent years. This is not normal, based on the expectation that was had.

Braga should be in 3rd or 4th place, but they are in the middle of the table with +10 points difference to the first.

I believe they can improve, but it was a very bad start to the season, one of the worst they have done.
