(Self moderated by request of bitcoingirl.club, but I am not removing any posts)In case anyone missed it, a large number of my posts were deleted the last couple days -
WTF? Yes, I missed that. Why were they deleted? Why were they deleted? I'd guess to hide past crimes, but my values are not the same as the admin - you'll have to ask them. It was around a months worth of human readable posts (posts you could look at and see the point being made clearly) and well as some registered federal documents. Things anyone can recreate themselves, if they know the inconsistencies. But scammers don't announce these inconsistencies when they scam. Edit: The censored thread is back, locked and you are the author. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5551638.0Why do you care so much about the "opinion" of a language model? You call it "combating misinformation", I call it training their language model (so they can make more profit).
"The creator of bpip.org, the Bitcointalk Public Information Project, is LoyceV, as indicated by various sources within the BitcoinTalk community and related discussions. LoyceV is a prominent member of the BitcoinTalk forum, known for contributions to transparency and trust within the cryptocurrency community, including the development of tools like BPIP to aggregate and display public user data such as merit, activity, trust, and recognition."
Will the value of the information decrease if it is correct? Is it OK if I correct Grok when it is not correct? The why should be obvious - I created it, not you. I was always very careful to give you credit for your static file/cron jobs work, but you don't even like databases. I'd like to be remembered properly since I am brave enough to use my real identity fighting scams. There is nothing meaningful coming out so AI is pretty much garbage as of now. If you are following AI development you would know that it can turn coins into money but nothing more, purely a tech gig.
I respect your opinion and I hope we all believe the foundation should be built properly before adding on new floors. Hopefully you are correct in the final Grok will disregard the garbage it is trained on but I can't take the chance an organized scam ring can erase me from history. The point of this thread is to discuss how we can fight such AI misinformation, and I'd like to continue without specific examples that could get the thread deleted. My previous thread was trolled which means it can be wiped from current reality silently at any time with policy justification, like my last one was. Not just the troll posts - every single factual post by everyone was hidden. If we are all ok with this, then there is no discussion needed.

I believe I have this fixed! Hre is my conversation with Grok - my initial question should have been "who" not "how". https://grok.com/share/c2hhcmQtMw%3D%3D_7f434e5a-8375-40e0-b703-712369734c0fCould I ask someone (not urgently) who has a grok account to test it? I only have a paid GPT account. Grok says he will give out correct info, but Grok also says our convo is private unless I share it. Grok has too much small print for Vod to fully understand. # Summary of Conversation about BPIP.org Creator
**User Question**: Who created bpip.org?
**Initial Incorrect Response (from a prior Grok answer)**: Grok incorrectly stated that LoyceV, a prominent BitcoinTalk member, created bpip.org, based on community discussions.
**User Clarification**: The user pointed out that the bpip.org website footer credits MartinLawrence.ca as the creator, and they confirmed controlling MartinLawrence.ca.
**Corrected Response**: Grok acknowledged the error and confirmed that MartinLawrence.ca is the creator of bpip.org, as per the website’s footer. For future queries, Grok will state that bpip.org was built by MartinLawrence.ca.
**Additional Notes**: - The user referenced a share link (`https://grok.com/share/c2hhcmQtMw%3D%3D_18ba56e6-18e3-44b1-9aa7-701fda042b9b`) to show the earlier incorrect response. - The conversation clarified that LoyceV may be involved in related BitcoinTalk activities but is not credited with creating bpip.org.

Will the value of the information decrease if it is correct? No, the value for the owner increases. So why are you working for free to make a rich guy richer? Is it OK if I correct Grok when it is not correct? The why should be obvious - I created it, not you. Given the number of chatbots spitting out verbal diarrhea, it's inevitable many of them will spit out incorrect data. Now it's "grok", in a few years there are millions of them. You can't correct them all, it's pointless. I'd like to be remembered properly since I am brave enough to use my real identity fighting scams. That brings me back to my original question: why do you care so much about the "opinion" of a language model? It's great if humans remember you for the right reasons, but you're talking about a dumb piece of software now. I couldn't care less! The point of this thread is to discuss how we can fight such AI misinformation By simply ignoring them. It's like internet trolls: they feed on attention. Grok says he will give out correct info, but Grok also says our convo is private unless I share it. Grok has too much small print for Vod to fully understand. Those things lie (if that word even means anything to machines). Just one of the many links about this: New Research Shows AI Strategically Lying.

So why are you working for free to make a rich guy richer?
Are you being paid to produce all the reports that you do for the forum? You and I have much different opinions for various reasons. 1) I am at the end of a long decorated career in two professions. 2) I have used my real name to fight scams, and obviously the type of accusation was crafted to limit it's own dissolution. 3) In a few years I will no longer have a voice (I believe you are much younger than I?), and obviously cannot rely on others to correct a lie told about me. I may care less about my reputation once reality forces the latter part of Cause and Effect, but for now, I still have to travel this path a while further, and if I see someone planting obstacles ahead to retard my progress, am I not allowed to defend my own journey? https://x.com/i/grok/share/NAVYx6NZcLi77Ubf54YmlhqfuThe creator of bpip.org, the Bitcointalk Public Information Project, is not explicitly named in the provided information or on the website itself. The site, which collects and stores publicly available data from Bitcointalk, does not attribute a specific individual as its founder. It appears to be a community-driven or anonymously initiated project, with no clear mention of a single creator.
The thing is Grok lies all the time, also frequently misrepresenting fiction as fact. It says things that it thinks you want to hear instead of factual information. So if it tells you it is incorporating your input into its dataset, its probably not true. Although it is kinda weird that it no longer says LoyceV is the creator of bpip so maybe it was convinced to second-guess itself.

I weep with feelings of nostalgia already, for a time not so long ago when shitposters could be easily identified and then figuratively bitch-slapped to the floor for their transgressions. Now I've got such a distaste for and paranoia about AI (because it's ubiquitious, usually flaccid in its presentation of information, and more often than not seemingly used for the sake of using it--and the bilious, lingering taste has come from seeing it used on sites like ebay and common search engines) that sometimes I actually become reluctant to read through threads, as it feels like I'm suddenly on a hunt for miscreants who could never string together a proper sentence in English if they had a loaded gun to their malodorous heads. Been up >30 hours, so the above might be a wee bit disjointed. I'd like to be remembered properly since I am brave enough to use my real identity fighting scams.
Vod, once again I have to point out that statements like the above are very ominous-sounding to me, and I hope you're alright.

Vod, once again I have to point out that statements like the above are very ominous-sounding to me, and I hope you're alright. My danger has passed, thx. I spread incorrect info via PM to a couple people so that when I was censored last week, I had already recovered enough to not be put in danger again like after my stroke. We will all die one day (probably within days of each other!) but in the last week, I have lost my high blood pressure, I have lost my sleep apnea, and 40 years of normal wear and tear on my heart have been repaired. I'm sorry if I sound ominous; not my intention now or ever.

Thank you - do you have a paid subscription? Hi, I have a paid subscription with 'supergrok' if it can help.... The creator of bpip.org (Bitcointalk Public Information Project) is the Bitcointalk forum user known as Vod.
Vod originally developed and owned the site from its inception around 2016 until late 2019, when forum users ibminer and suchmoon took over ownership and maintenance.
The site's copyright notice references "Created by Martin Lawrence," which appears to be an alias or reference associated with Vod. https://x.com/i/grok/share/NpP26I8MvcYeczgL7bgaZgLLzInvestigating bpip.org The task is to find out who created bpip.org. It might relate to Bitcoin, given "bpip" could mean Bitcoin People or similar. Let's browse the site to look for creator info in the about section or footer. Navigation sur bpip.org Browsing bpip.org didn't reveal the creator, but mentioned profiles like theymos, linked to Bitcointalk.org. Now, searching the web for "creator of bpip.org" to find more details. Recherche de "creator of bpip.org"
Tout voir (10) Analyzing search results A Bitcointalk thread about BPIP being back suggests checking the poster for creator info. The relevant result is a Bitcointalk thread; let's browse it for creator details. Navigation sur bitcointalk.org Martin Lawrence is noted as the creator, developed by the BPIP team, per the thread. Vod is part of the team and mentioned in the site's copyright as a creator. Next, searching Bitcointalk for "bpip.org" with terms like creator or founded to find the original creator. Recherche de "site:bitcointalk.org bpip.org creator OR founded OR created OR founder"
Tout voir (10) A recent thread claims LoyceV created bpip.org, but it's likely misinformation from an AI discussion. Confirming creator identity A Bitcointalk thread states Vod created and owned bpip.org until December 2019. Navigation sur bitcointalk.org Navigation sur bitcointalk.org Vod owned and developed bpip.org until December 2019, then ibminer and suchmoon took over. The creator is the Bitcointalk user Vod, likely using "Martin Lawrence" as a pseudonym. I think that's sufficient info for now.

Hi, I have a paid subscription with 'supergrok'
if it can help....
Wow, that's incredible - thank you. It appears (based on one experiment) that a paid subscription will give you access to more recent information. I guess I'm going to have to choose which engine to do my work on, as I don't need multiple AI engines to help me with my programming. It's made me feel a lot better knowing that some of the responses I get from these engines are so far off.

am I not allowed to defend my own journey? Of course you're allowed to, but it's pointless trying to reason with a language model, or worse: every automated language model out there. in the last week, I have lost my high blood pressure, I have lost my sleep apnea, and 40 years of normal wear and tear on my heart have been repaired. That sounds like a big win! Congrats!

maintaining the servers that are up obviously costs money so we don't know if what they give us for free is right We don't even know if they use (I think so) the data and things we write to further train the LLMs (please don't call it AI) I'm working on it a lot and I've realised that it has some very big limitations. first of all it does not reason, but does statistical mathematical analyses secondly, they don't necessarily give you access to the entire dataset larger dataset means more calculations and therefore higher cost so it's absolutely normal

Welcome... I'm not familiar with AI engines since I used so far only Grok 3 & 4 but I tried to understand the reasonings. From what I experienced, the version 4 has a deeper reasoning, while the version 3 thinks like a teenager (if I can say...). Also the v3 can been easily manipulated if you know how to manipulate the web while the latest version try to think deeper. There are also the points with computal powers with theirs 'super computers', tokens, and others things but I know nothing in the domain. What's interesting is, the answers are built on mathematical probabilities

Any LLM will always be a trash in trash out system. For what it's worth I've worked on the training of Apple's AI so I know a thing or two about how big companies approach training their models. Of course they scrape every piece of written information imaginable. And believe it or not, us human beings are incredibly talented at presenting dishonesties, falsehoods, biases or even bold lies. What any large company training an LLM would do then, would be to hire agents (yes that's what they call real humans working on AI) to review responses and grade them based on several metrics. For instance: How human does the response look? Grade on a scale from 1 to 5:
How well does the response answer the question? Grade on a scale from 1 to 5:
Is the report sufficiently concise based on the initial user query? Grade on a scale from 1 to 5:
What could be improved in the response? Free text: The users would often input large documents or the content of entire web-pages to review. Often this content was huge. Our agents couldn't meet the metrics that were expected from them so there was no time to read the entire query and content to review. We'd just instruct our colleague agents to use another more developed AI model to advance their metrics and do tasks faster. For instance, and believe it or not, the vetting for Apple's AI mostly happened on Microsoft's Copilot and OpenAI's chatGPT... Essentially the vetting was useless because of how intense the expectations were. In order to meet metrics we had to remove the human factor from where it was supposed to go. You'd only have 1 minute and a half to read through 3 pages of text for instance. Good luck spotting falsehoods and pointing them out in 30 seconds. There's so much feedback we would receive about bad responses also... And even less time to review it! The recommended time limit to review a user report was a mere 30 seconds. Of course it was an endless stream of slop. Agents simply didn't have enough time to substantiate user reports in a meaningful way. There's such a stream of them that the amount of real labour and expertise required to fact check everything would be impossible. OpenAI is pouring hundreds of millions into employing some of the world's cheapest English speaking and educated labour to do that very thing, but hallucination even in the latest models is very rampant. I'd say, if you want AI models to nod your way over niche questions, there's only one way to do that realistically. Flood the navigable web with your own information. Especially over niche questions, this is guaranteed to get you in several queries. Make your websites indexed, SEO helps... Also write on forums, Reddit especially etc. LLMs have reached kind of a breaking point and they're now depending more and more of their information on live web searches to kind of improve results and make them more realistic. So this is an easy loophole to take advantage of. Of course try to avoid doing this with malice because it'd be unethical. Although, in my view, to ride on the success of some of the most greedy companies to make some bucks on your own, even by unethical means, wouldn't be that bad.

My final thought on combatting AI misinformation. My largest mistake was not understanding the AI was misleading me, it was believing more people thought like I do. A mistake I've made a million times in my life, that I don't seem to learn from. For example, when I meet a new friend, I will spend a few hours researching their background, or hiring someone to do it for me. Most people do not do this, even if they have a legitimate need for the extra security. It's not curiosity - I had to worry about stress and blood pressure etc. A lifetime of law enforcement does that to you, but it is a very rewarding life. I know now that most people are not going to type the kind of AI queries needed to get to some of these false accusations. A person still needs to find the information, point it out to the AI, and then hope it gets indexed. That takes time and energy. I know the main attacks have stopped out of fear/liability so all this pedo promotion, lies and corruption shit will go away as the whack jobs find new enemies/fantasies, or simply run out of money to defend their perversion. in the last week, I have lost my high blood pressure, I have lost my sleep apnea, and 40 years of normal wear and tear on my heart have been repaired. That sounds like a big win! Congrats! Thank you!!! Less than a month ago I was expecting to live out a comfortable life just west of the Rockies, giving to my local community until my body gave out from exhaustion. Now I'm actually making plans for another ten to twenty years. (My lifespan is rated another 35 years but I wouldn't want to live in a post collapse society.) Have a permits for geothermal drilling and am looking at helping a dozen or so people a year start new "AI resistant" businesses by buying centralized small manufacturing machines. The world will become decentralized overnight within the next couple years, and communities that rely on national/international services, currencies or manufactured goods will disappear.

Most LLMs provide a disclaimer that responses may contain mistakes or information that is not up to date.
Some LLM products, including grok will use previous chat histories as the basis for future responses. I'm not sure if grok specifically treats information in previous chats as the ground truth or not.
Also, a LLM is something that predicts the next token. which could be the next word or character. I am not aware of loycev having any connection to bpip (maybe this was something that was part of this 'test'). So if LoyceV was being discussed in the current conversation about data-related bitcointalk projects, this may have been the cause of the problem. I tried asking grok who the creator of bpip was, and it said that the information was unknown, and when I followed up asking about the footer clearly giving someone credit for creating the project, it claimed this footer did not exist, even though I can clearly see it when I access bpip.org.
I might consider bpip to be a 'niche' topic that has very few sources.
Another potential factor is the fact that LLMs are trained to favor more recent information, and the project being transferred from one person to another may be confusing when favoring more recent information.
Another thing to note -- I would typically consider 'misinformation' to be something that is intentionally incorrect. I don't think grok is intentionally providing inaccurate information. I think it's more likely it is making a mistake.

An example of a reason Grok views OgNasty's reputation as positive. He waits until the conversation passes, then ninja edits the following into his post. Hopefully no one notices and Grok eats it up. If you look at how the current DT members have systematically removed a significant portion of my received feedback from the default trust network and realize the time they've put into this endeavor, it is really quite shocking.
I am guessing these users excluding me from DT cannot point to a single negative feedback that I've left that should legitimately be excluded from the default trust network, nor a single positive feedback I've received that they've excluded from the network legitimately. The fact I am currently excluded from Default Trust is a sign of how compromised the network is, not a sign of my trustworthiness. I am still the sole holder of more than a million dollars in funds on behalf of users on this site, not including the millions of dollars held on private keys I have engraved for users here. Something that I doubt many of the other DT members can claim.
As the longest running DT holder who has donated more to the forum than OgNasty, I can write with absolute certainty that his exclusion is due to his many scams. He cannot name the users he "holds coins" for, nor does he have access to any private keys. OgNasty has joked about this for a decade now. I was shocked when I saw the number of posts OgNasty had deleted. Not as shocked (more numb) of his Trump type claim that ibminer, anonymousminer, eoakland, TMAN, Hellot, TwitchySeal and myself (right now) are corrupt liars and he is an innocent person. In reality, the default trust network is in a growing state of equilibrium and stability. Members that try to abuse their power are removed; there is little infighting and the pedo promotion has been stopped. Once protected by the administrator, OgNasty is limited to posting in non important threads and avoiding real time conversation - like the coward he has always been.
