OP I sure heard about Bitcoin before you. I scanned through an article that mentioned Bitcoin in 2011 but didn't care to take a closer look. I later heard about it again several years later, when someone was promoting a Bitcoin-based ponzi, even then I didn't invest. I wonder what happened to all those Bitcoin ponzi of past years. These things happen. I think it takes finding the Bitcoin forum to know that it's worth putting funds in Bitcoin because this forum and a few others actively promote the digital currency. Who knows what folks who find out about and invest in Bitcoin in the next 7 years would say about people who knew about it in 2026?

When I first heard about Bitcoin, I was as young as 16 years old. I didn't know what the aim of Bitcoin was then but I bought. I lost it to a centralised platform. It very little I bought then. This was like in 2017. A year after I heard about Bitcoin. Which I read more about it then. But I was too young and felt maybe it's a fun thing. Even that little one I bought, how I wish it was a decentralised platform. I would still have seen gains in it. It's all good. We learn everyday.

That's how things usually goes, hearing about an opportunity early isn't the same as knowing it. A lot of folks first came across Bitcoin through scamss Ponzi scheme so it's understandable why they stayed away the real difference is taking the time to learn before making a decision, years from people will probably look and wish they had paid more attention instead of dismissing it out right.

I do not go on living this life with regrets.

Right now, I just hope I can stack up to $200k worth bitcoin and forget it until Bitcoin price is a up up and in the moon. For those regretting, it is said that the best time to stack up if you missed out all throughout these years is right now.

Just found this while fiddling with Talksearch.

I was there. I was one of those people. But alas, Bitcoin might as well not have existed to me then.

I first heard about it in 2019. That's a 6 year gap. And so many things have happened during that time period.....

/end rant

I will not blame anyone that did not believe in bitcoin when it was introduced because not everyone that knows about bitcoin at all and there are some countries that people find it hard to believe in something easily, in my country they call bitcoin a scam when it was introduced because many people don’t know anything about it, only few that know about it and when they tried to explain to others no one believed them, those who believed in bitcoin are the ones that benefited from it. We can not use the past to think that we will not have the same opportunity those who believed bitcoin from the beginning. Instead, we should focus on the present and try our best not to miss out another good opportunity by doing the right thing and buy bitcoin with any amount we can afford to buy so that when people are happy for having bitcoin we will not regret not buying it.

My father caught it when it was 100$ each. He didn't buy because he thought it was risky. If he had bought now we would be millionaires xD.

Absolutely, a lot of people don't believe on Bitcoin when it was first introduced not everybody that knows the worth of Bitcoin there are  other countries which find it difficult to believe something like that, in my country here they find it difficult to still believe on Bitcoin they always lament that Bitcoin is a scam even if you try to give them more details  they would still believe. Since we  have heard about it we should try to use every opportunity that comes in our way whether Bitcoin increases in or decreases we should keep on accumulating since we know the Worth of Bitcoin let's be consistent in our Bitcoin investment.

What I know is that there is no point getting worried over spilt milk. All we should focus more on is now and moreover there is no perfect time to buy. However, there is more to life than now. Let's forget about the years that are gone and concentrate on the future. It will be wise to just kick start your accumulations journey as we speak and see how far you will attain in some couples of years ahead.

I don't understand. You were there in 2013? I noticed your account was registered in 2019. What is the missing link?
