Don’t give in to gambling bullying

I live in a place where most people like to gamble because gambling is like a culture/tradition since long time ago so there is no one who try to bully me just because I'm gambling.
I'm sure there are some people who do not like it but they do not want to express it frontally, they usually talk about it privately like a gossip with some others who are in the same point of view.
Lets say there will be some people who will try to bully me because of gambling, I can answer them easily because what I do is not their business, what I do is not giving them any effect so why they should care?
Although they may have good purpose (to remind us), but if they do it wrongly then it wont be effective.

I have no control over what people choose to think or how they treat me; it’s their choice. I can only control my emotions and my decisions. I prefer to ignore these people as long as they are not physically abusing me. I will take no action, but if they continue to abuse and step beyond the boundaries, I can sue them.
They can’t harm me if I don’t let them hurt me, and some laws can protect you from these bullies.

Many employers do consider about gambling as their criteria to hire someone, even you're very good, but you stand up by saying you're a gambler, I think you will not be accepted.

Bully happen when you need to obey with someone who not allow gambling or you're broke, if you're look rich, people won't bully you, instead they come into you.

I believe that your personality matters before people can bully you for anything as an adult, I am a responsible person who respects myself and others. Some people who speaks against gambling are surprised when they find out that I sometimes gamble, nobody has bullied me because of gambling. Even if they do I wouldn't care because I am gambling with my own money and I don't go to them for my financial needs so they don't have any reasons to bully me, they can criticize behind my back if they want. People must talk about you otherwise you are nothing so we shouldn't bother about them so far we are doing the right thing.

And when you are gambling its not a must that people most know that you are gambling because when they know you are gambling then they might just tag you as someone that is not responsible because how people look at you matters a lot so there is a lot of reasons to keep it a secret but when you have money and you are gambling people will not critize you because they know you are not gambling for money.

But when you don't have money you will receive a lot of backslash from people. So if you are not rich it is better for them to keep it for there self because when they don't,  and even if you don't go for them for money they will still want to have a say in you life. So the best thing is to keep it and for a reason so there more than what we think, and they might not really understand what you really want. So the best thing will just for you to do your thing everyone will be fine. We know that gambling is a difficult to win and because of that people have become addicted but from what am seen there people that still make good money from gambling.

Nope, because as of the moment, no one knows I gamble online. I have no intention of telling them either. Sure, they won?t bully me, but they?ll gossip about me all the time. Because in my environment gambling is still considered a bad activity, I have had such an experience from a neighbor who criticized my gambling activity. It didn't affect me, it's just that I might have responded quite harshly, and until now, my neighbor has never spoken to me.
I said, I gamble with my own money, not taking from your wallet. You don't need to care too much about me. But maybe when I run out of money, I will sell your child to gamble.

That's actually right, it's obvious that msome of us, our religions have made us gamble secretly so that people who believes in the same religion with us won't see us as those that are not serious or someone who's no following according to regional rules. However I prefer to do my things openly so that people can know the kind of person I am, so long as am an adult, I know what's good and what's bad for me, but that doesn't mean that I am not open to advise.

Although I was mainly talking about the region in my post not the religion, I will still partially agree with what you said. However, I will also say that most religions completely prohibit gambling for their followers, not like that religion is forcing us to gamble secretly.

Now it is completely up to us whether we will listen to those words of religion or not. Perhaps in most cases, most of us do not obey those words, not only in the case of gambling, but it can be seen that in many other cases, we are not practical about religion. We are not children who are in school so we don't know how to behave over bullying addressed to us.
We are not children who do not know how responsibility for the risks we receive. Likewise when the victory we get.
For what to be offended when our gambling activity is known. I don't care at all even though they know that I'm a gambler. The money I played gambling was not sourced from him.

Every gambler has a different mentality about gambling, but here it is important to only enjoy gambling, here if someone gives too much importance to gambling, even after facing losses many times, they continue to gamble uncontrollably, always gamble due to greed and emotion, but in this case it definitely leads to a lot of negative aspects, at the same time they are also much worse in the eyes of society.

Gambling is not something someone should be proud of, the reason why, is that gambling has to do with trial, and in trial you don't know if you will make out profit or not, secondly, gambling has ruined so many people life, gambling has made so many people to be homeless, if someone is addicted in the gambling to the extent that it can't control it's self, that alone will make you to sell whatever you have

Well i most really say too you it sounded like you stood up for yourself when a neighbour of yours criticize your gambling habits which in the right words it was very wrong for your neighbour to say thing about your gambling habits, on a second through brother i guess you went to far when you made mention of selling thier child that part might really have escalated the situation, your neighbour might feel very offended or threatened, which as humans this could lead to prolonging silence between both of you.

You should really consider or clarify that your response which was a reaction to their criticism and that you didn't mean it or to cause any offence. This is in general to us all pulse i think its best most times to try to have an open conversation about your own views on gambling and why its important to you ss a gambler some people might not have to understand but some might still be interested to hear what you have to say.

Sometimes you're the only one who's justifying things about gambling so if you think they can't understand anything about it, then don't tell anything about it. It's hard to tell people like gambling because for some, it's a waste of time and money, they won't understand you. But if you really don't care what others might say to you then it's fine, go and have fun gambling 'cause no one can stop you, just be a responsible gambler so they won't see you get a ruined life because of the path you've taken.

Why would the world bully me because I choose to be a different person. That's even an abuse iof human right. The people that has the right to talk sense to my ears when I go wrong are my parents but they also have limits to how they advice an adult because only kids get to do things by force since you can't stand the consequences of their actions but an adult has the right to stand and believes in what they do unless they still leave under the roof of their parents and don't have their personal money and rely on the parent.

I don't think there is any problem with gambling from anywhere unless it's ban. If something is prohibited from one place, expect a reaction from people when they see you doing that thing but if by any chance there is nothing of such, then intimidation shouldn't be tolerated. Not even from any religious view, if you want to do your thing nobody has the right to say otherwise unless it's not allow to be played in your region and guided by law.

I assume people with negative views of gambling mostly come from environments where gambling is prohibited. Anyone living in such an area is better off keeping their gambling activities under wraps, and not revealing anything. Even in countries where gambling is legal, their perspective on it can sometimes be quite negative, so it's better not to explain anything, as it won't change the situation and will only waste time.

Regardless of other people points of view and the pressure they exert, every gambler should act responsibly, and should not go beyond the limits when gambling. Never tell anyone about your losses, except close friends with whom you regularly share your stories. Meanwhile, bullying in gambling often occurs everywhere, actually it is not surprising.

So far as you are not addicted and you are not abusing gambling but a responsible gambling no matter what people say to you about you gambling it shouldn't be a problem.  Gambling is not a crime but a game for entertaining so everyone have the right to gamble. I think the only time when people needs to criticise one in gambling is when one is not going about it the right way because if is no normal for people to say things if something is affecting one negatively.  Due to how some gamblers get addicted some people just conclude gambling is bad and they just criticise everyone who gambles thinking it gets everyone to be addicted.

As long as you are not an addicted gambler you have the right to stand up to gambling bullies. A lot of people are actually hypocrites because they crucify someone for something they are not doing but they have their own weaknesses. I don't support gambling addiction but gambling isn't negative unless you start getting too obsessed with it. People who bully gamblers need to be corrected all times.

No gambler has the reason to be bullied because of gambling, maybe that person has personal or different issues with the people bulling him because I don't see the reason of bulling, if he borrowed the money he gambled with and has failed to reach the agreement they had when he wins.
Some gamblers are so funny when it comes to fulfilling their part of the agreement .

You need to be proud of who you are, because everyone has the right to life and do whatever you want to do, seeing what happened to that gambler should not make you to be scared, instead be confident and bold over what you do in as much as you owe no one or has committed any crime that would warrant bulling, secret or online gambling doesn't matter at all.

This life you see is a free world every body has the right to leave which ever life he or she want, so assuming am a gambler in real life, people's opinions about me really don't matters to me, all  that really matters to me is my happiness and if gambling gives me that happiness and satisfaction that I desire then am fine.

Secondly, bullying or criticism only comes when you become addicted to gambling and the negative aspects of it has eatting you deep, but if you see gambling as a way of having fun which is it initial purposes then I see no reasons anybody will start bullying at you.

I can’t say that I’ve ever been bullied for being a gambler but I don’t gamble much. I know some people absolutely hate gambling for some reason, but it seems like an odd thing to bully someone for. Nobody should really care what anyone else is up to unless they need to make sure they have enough to be happy.
