This is my first time hearing about this. Osimhen has only tried to unite the team not destroyed the team. I know of his influence in the dressing room but I don't think that has to do with why the Super Eagles of Nigeria did not qualify for the World Cup. Finidi has to take the blame because Finidi chooses his first team player out of politics. He chooses the players that has been with the team for long, instead of the right player that has the quality to play for each position. Osimhen solved the problem of the dressing room.
Since, I have been watching the Super Eagles matches, Osimhen is always a motivator to the team and always show that leadership spirit in him. I haven't heard that he's the cause of the team poor performance before. I wouldn't believe this because I know how the match do end whenever, Osimhen isn't on the pitch. I think, Finidi George was the cause of the problem because most players are bigger than him which means that, he cannot control them.

Victor Osimhen is an important player in the Nigerian Super Eagles; this is why his actions and inactions would affect the players either negatively or positively. Nobody is saying that he has not contributed in many ways to the success of the national team but his outburst during his problem with coach George Finidi had an impact on the team's performance. Instead of focusing on the World Cup qualifiers, we were concerned about settling problems between Victor, the coach, and the NFF. Victor claimed that Finidi said he was faking injuries so that he could avoid some games. But the question is, did Osimhen verify the claims before causing controversy? We all know that Osimhen is temperamental and could lose his cool easily. Let's move on and forget about our past failures.

We need more of this in Africa with attention going into sectors like this so when it's time for countries like this to join in hosting the world cup, conversation around the lack of facility won't start raising it head. If they are able to build 28 stadium across the nation, that's a serious plus but it comes with the question, how possible is it that this can be actualised.
The cost of building a standard stadium from start to finish is a lot and for an average African government, that's not supposed to be the only thing you should be about. Building stadiums is good but doing it in a manner that allows you to also touch on other areas is what's even better. We are in support of investing in sports sector in Africa but it's better to have a good plan around it so it doesn't look like empty promises.
Exactly, the money is big, but we have people that can do that especially our players if they really want to that. I can remember back then when Mario Balotelli speculated it that if African players abroad can come together to build stadiums across the continent, they will not bother going to overseas to play football and the racism is disturbing them seriously, that’s why he advices African players to come together and build stadiums, it didn’t worked for them; so it’s better for the governments to make effort so that if they have enough stadiums, they can have good footballing opportunities across the world and more partnerships with big companies.

As I was scrolling through Facebook this evening I came across a news that Kenya's president William Ruto plans to build 28 new stadiums across the country. I'm so happy about this news because if Kanye's president successful built 28 stadiums in Kenya it will put Kenya in the position to host African tournaments in the future. It is worthy of note that the Kenyan president is futuristic in his thinking, this is because some of us have already gotten tired of the fact that Morocco have been the one hosting hosting African tournaments in recent and these have led to CAF being unnecessary favorable to Morocco, and there's not been really concrete opposing country that has come up with new developmental technology in terms of stadiums built to challenge this present order, so if Ruto deems it fits to build 28 new stadiums, then we might have a different host in the coming future when it comes to African tournaments.

Here's the question I have towards this, not because that I don't believe in his ability to achieve what he intended to do, but completing about 28 stadiums in a country is something that needed more time and financial budgets, is it going to concentrate only on stadium without other aspect being taken care of, I would have suggest if it is only five it could successfully achieve an accomplish than starting what you may not be able to finish, do I like his intention and kind of attitude towards sports, but let's come to reality and stop living by the mirrage.

It is worthy of note that the Kenyan president is futuristic in his thinking, this is because some of us have already gotten tired of the fact that Morocco have been the one hosting hosting African tournaments in recent and these have led to CAF being unnecessary favorable to Morocco...
Morocco hosted the tournament in 1988 and only returned to host it in 2025. It's also worth remembering that: The event has been organized in rotation, as can be seen in recent years: 2023 (held in 2024) Ivory Coast 2021 (held in 2022) Cameroon 2019 Egypt 2017 Gabon 2015 Equatorial Guinea 2013 South Africa 2012 Gabon & Equatorial Guinea 2010 Angola Blaming Morocco based on feelings doesn't lead anywhere. I know many people were swayed by emotions when CAF made the decision to declare Morocco champions, but it's a fact that if the Senegalese players had stayed on the field, we wouldn't have seen that CAF decision. It's hard to accept that reality, but it's also a fact that football has rules, and nowadays those rules can be challenged even after the game is over. The decision can favor one of the teams even after the game is finished, and we have to accept that without letting passions get in the way.

This is a good move by the Kenyan President and Government, at least the AFCON Tournament would now be decentralized since Morocco seems to be the only country hosting and supporting African football for some time now. We actually want the AFCON to be a general affairs now, since the recent incident unfolded, and I believe many African nations were not happy about the manners at which Morocco handled the situation, coupled with CAF's negligence and biased judgment, attitude, and approach towards it. Hopefully, we are looking forward to seeing Kenya host the next AFCON Tournament on their soil after the successful completion of the stadiums as promised by the Kenyan President.

This is a very good decision for the Kenyan President, they are trying to make sure they unite the youths and to improve their football and sports in general because Kenya is good with athletics, they have been participating in the athletics in the past, now having a good stadium, they will have to improve their performance in athletics as well as football, and if other countries will follow suits, I am sure Africa will soon have high chance in sports.
If the Kanye president can live up to his words and build the 28 stadium across the country, yes it's a very good decision because it will help to improve Kanye sports activities and it will also help Kanye perform well in any sports activities, African countries are capable of building modern stadiums but the corrupt nature of African leaders won't allow them embark on such infrastructure development.

What Kenya president is doing in his regime show that people of Kenya will still want him to continue to remain in power, because what he is doing right now it will make Kenya to start producing potential players that will make the country grow. If president can stand up to make such projets his desire to his country, I guess many countries in Africa will start to establish stadiums that will give players and coaches to start developing their skills towards some competition that will spread the name of the players and coaches globally.

sport is very important in every name and when their is enough stadium to accommodate people that are ready to train and when their country win medals, this will motivate other skillful people to work in themselves ans try to achieve something from sports. Building more stadia will help the people of Kenya to train more and prepare for other competitions.

Well that’s a good news, I believe if they can build all those stadiums into the modern stadium standard they can surely lost the African Cup of nation or they can even consider them with a close country to host the World Cup competition in the future, Africa countries are really disappointing me because this are the things they should be thinking about and believe me it will bring a lot of resources to countries in Africa because we love football so much here in Africa. I just hope they build the stadiums to modern standards, 28 stadiums is a lot and it will require huge amount of money if they want to make it modern standards, they have the resources to do it if they are really determined in doing it.
I don’t know how rich Kenya is or if they have the resources to build 28 stadiums in their country. But this is good news and I pray it doesn’t end up being an unfulfilled promise in the future. These African leaders know better how they buy their people with sweet words without acting upon that which they’ve promised their citizens. Having 28 standard stadium will bring a lot of revenue to the country especially if they have a lot of football fans and supporters that loves watching football more physically than on screens. This is great news to be honest and maybe if they start this and get to fulfill it, they’ll push other African countries to also follow their steps in achieving somthing similar.

One advice I would love to give to the African teams in this world cup the likes of Ivory Coast, Senegal, Egypt, Morocco, DRC Congo and south Africa is that they should not believe that false narratives flying around that the world cup winners will be between south American teams and African teams. The rumours is based on the narrative that the weather is too hot for other continents to play well but these are professional footballer with massive work rate and adaptation skill to any weather especially in the biggest tournament of them all, Africa teams should just expect all teams at their best.

Now why do you think everyone is slow in life like you?😂 please it was a joke which just made my day…well it really sound impossible to everyone but the truth is it can be done, I think I from what I heard this project was back by some teammates companies who added some support for it completely building… Well i dont think no how the story was build on by I saw something like that, well talking about the financial budget of the project it was not going to cost that much said by him…

I don't think they would believe that, I think it's the fans of these nations that you would need to lecture on this narrative because the players themselves know what's up there for them and just like you said some of these guys have adaptive skills and can play under any conditions and also they know the importance of the competition so they will give it all their very best and be rest assured that they can the results despite the weather conditions.

I just pray this is not one of their usual political talks, otherwise this stadium project would be amongst the best projects an African President has ever embarked on and finished within a short period of time without any challenges encountered unlike other African nations that takes them more than 1 year to finish substandard stadium and even going as far as embezzling the fund's FIFA donated for them to build world class stadium.

I agree with you. If weather was a factor in who wins or losses then the 2010 World Cup would have gone to an African team. I do not know much about the stadiums that would be used but the way most stadiums are built, they would have factored in different types of weather and provided the measure to match each conditions. I am sure the teams would be fine and the finals would go to the team that is most hungry and well prepared with a dash of good luck.

Don't know how authentic this news but if it was actually released by the Kenyan president, then it's a very good idea and a welcomed development for African football. In recent time, we've not been considered to host some of the FIFA competitions because of the limited infrastructure in the most parts of the continent. It got so bad that CAF are now awarding Morocco to host our continental competitions year after year. We could've done more as a continent if we didn't have selfish leaders in power.

I'm so happy about this news because if Kanye's president successful built 28 stadiums in Kenya it will put Kenya in the position to host African tournaments in the future. Seeing the standard of the stadium built by the Moroccans and used to host the just-concluded African Cup of Nations, it is good to see another African country pushing to have world-class facilities as well. If this were the news in some African countries, it would have been easy to conclude that the leaders are engineering a scheme to embezzle funds, but I think Ruto can deliver.

A breakthrough for Africa and not just Kenya alone is what this project will be when it is completed, one challenge most African countries have is in their investment in sports, it happens to be one sector that has been over looked or not given enough attention by many African countries because they do not see the future in it, but seeing that the Kenyan government wants to act differently, it is a thing to bring hope to some of the African regions. Hosting international games will become something Kenya will be able to comfortably bid if this project gets completed to the expected standard it should be, because here in Africa, starting a project is one thing and finishing it is another. So we want to believe that this projects will be completed someday for the good of Kenya and Africa at large.
