Greed cannot really be contained as it is deep in human nature roots but I agree setting an objective when we start our gambling session can help not get sucked in a session without objective that 99.99% of the time even if you start with substantial wins in the beginning in the end will lose all money. Turning $20 into $700 for me it's gambling smart, playing with little capital and aiming little rewards has been my way of gambling because I've had an experience with greed and I lost half of my savings back in the day. Gamble is a two way route it's  either you make profit in a session  or you make loses. When i read the topic, thought it was going to be one of those topics in how to beat the system which of course doesn't work. But reading it, I think that gambling smart is gambling responsibly. There's no difference in the two. With the right strategy, you will not only be gambling responsibly, you will also be gambling smart.

That's an empty hope. It's impossible to get rich just by throwing cards, rolling dice, guessing numbers, or pressing the spin button. We have to be comfortable with any profits that we get and not waiting to get half of what we're using to gamble or more before we're satisfied. The little we're gaining can go a long way in the long run but if we want to double our capital in the shortest time then we begin to gamble out to control and when that happens, we're heading down the wrong path that'll worry us in the future. Apart from just your strategy, discipline is another, I always mention it because with discipline you can really achieve a lot because that keeps you in check at every point even when  you are on with your strategy so you do not divert into something else, I do think of it that you may have the best strategy but if you are not discipline enough you cannot even to keep up with the strategy, you may end up making mistakes and loosing out even on that excellent strategy which you have built to help you win.

Small wins cannot make people rich overnight, that's why people are not happy with small wins. But in reality, if you cannot satisfy yourself after winning repeatedly in this gamble and continue your bets, then you will lose all your capital.
