Bagholders (like me) wont dump coins.
They allready lost everything due to these prices.
They'll wait it out. Dumping smc now is useless

what's the problem with multipools dumping on cryptsy? - it's generating activity and volume and that's good.

which multipool would mine SMC at this point? Just wondering, because it's one of the least profitable coins right now. Multipools only mine the most profitable coin, and then dump them, so I think SMC is safe from that.

Can't agree with you, try to set buy order for (let's say) 100k SMC on Cryptsy below 170 sat. I bet you will wait 2-3 hours and someone will start selling at this price with small packs 64-128 smc's. I know what I'm writing because I've done it twice last week.

Yes I noticed that too, I think it is someone pretending to be a solo miner.  I say pretending because such sales were happening at Cryptsy when we were in maintenance mode.  There were no withdrawals or deposits during this time but the 32, 64, 128 etc sales continued.  Someone is using a bot to dump SMC at block reward multiples instead of in a big chunk.

Well he posts in this thread.  But I'm wondering how everyone knew how much of the premine was left and do they know where the other 250,000 went.

The rest went out the door with the dev. The others know howmuch is left here because the old dev gave 50k and 100k to two people mainly trying to develop this coin and skatted out the door with the rest. This should change to x-11 and then pos. for it to gain any upside price increases.  As for exchanges try to get it on bittrex.com. It a great exchange and has good volumes. I trade on it daily.

Guys,

How about an idea of regular mining SMC for 2-3 days, sell it on Cryptsy and buy votes on Mintpal? I just wonder if this won't cause SMC price drop.
I'm not saying that we need 1st place, but first 10 would be nice just to show ppl that we're not lazy Smiley

did the old dev actually give us the premine?!

The former dev gave us part of the premine.  The premine was 400,000 SMC of which I was given 150,000.  That 150,000 SMC is held by me and psionin as follows:

me:        50,000 SMC
psionin:  100,000 SMC

On a percentage basis 400,000 SMC was about a 0.78% premine.

What I was talking about.

Is there any development on this coin? Also, about the EDCSA key I mentioned, will that be included?

I sent it twice now, it is probably in your spam email folder.  You antivirus might not be letting you download the file because of false positives.  Most email providers won't let you email .exe files even when zipped.  So I unzipped the folder and renamed the .exe files to .ex_ then I zipped it with 7-zip otherwise it was too big to be emailed.

use 7zip to unzip it:

http://www.7-zip.org/

then rename the following files:
smartcoind.ex_
Smartcoin-qt.ex_

to:
Smartcoin-qt.exe
Smartcoin-qt.exe

and proceed as normal.

I added looking into EDCSA to the list, so hopefully it should be in the next release.

The main SMC development is currently done in stages. I am expecting to get to the next one by early June, and I also believe that there are other side projects and misc tasks being worked on aside from that. Funding contributions are welcome in order to speed up the process, and there are items listed on the forum that can be done independently if anyone wants to help.
