No I don’t think he’s acting like a dictator lately. The tariffs saga is annoying me if I am honest but that’s not behaving like a dictator is it. He’s at the forefront of trying to make Zelensky & Putin end the war so that’s a good thing. I don’t agree with a lot of things Trump does but he is not acting like a dictator.

Every president always face criticism no matter how good he or she is I'm not saying Trump is totally good in all areas but what I'm saying is that he is not acting like a dictator.

No, he's not acting Ike a dictator. Every sensible leader ought to be strong-willed and not some sissy who takes directives from certain hierarchy. The US has strong institutions strengthened by law and I don't think Trump has violated any of such laws. His decisions on certain issues may seem harsh but then, that's what leadership ought to be – you chart a way forward for your people, a path they may not see ATM but will come to thank you in future for it. I like Trump's stance on current political and economic issues.

Jerome Powell should go. He has outstayed his welcome in that office. If it were in Africa were institutions are very weak or almost nonexistent, he would've been long gone with just a phone call from the presidency. Trump is still following relevant procedures on that.

Franky1, I've noticed you becoming less frank in your replies recently.  I'm not going to argue any of your points because I quoted words above which show obvious bias towards a; you are not being equally sincere in your comparison.    Your 3a showed MAGA attitude (even if you are not American) since you ignore the bigger tax cuts to the 1% wealthy.

There is confusion among the public about Trump's behavior. Some people think that his behavior is similar to a dictatorship, but his supporters have not seen any change yet. They still trust Trump.

Most people focus on the worst part of their lives, and as long as Trump says that part is improving, they will ignore everything else he does.   Some phrases that come to my mind:  “Willful blindness” – deliberately ignoring wrongdoing, often because acknowledging it would be inconvenient, “Moral compromise” – overlooking unethical actions in exchange for a perceived benefit and “The Devil’s bargain” – tolerating harm for the hope of personal gain.

the wealthy always had biggest tax cuts. many loopsholes in which the wealthy always have paid little to no tax. the tax exemption/deductable list has always benefitted the rich. so new changes now has not really impacted the rich.. however new changes has affected the poor alot, giving them more benefits than before.
this is not pro-maga.. its pro-poor to mention the new changes has helped the poorer categories of people

no matter who you idolise or suport or where you came from is not that he was questioning if he has to follow the constitution. the reality is that he was questioned if he personally has to defend the constitution. the answer was for his legal team to deal with, as its their job he delegated to them.. which is where any president is not suppose to get a law licence to defend the constitution in court.
presidents delegate lawyers for that.. and that includes citizens individually too, who do not need to represent themselves in court, they have the right to have legal representation to defend their rights and lawfulness

the job of any president is to delegate law issues to the DoJ, and by ensuring the federal treasury funds the DoJ and the DoJ's mandate is to defend the constitution, then the constitution gets defended

trumps first term was pretty much trump just left to his own devices, he didnt have a good cabinet, nor good/any speech writers.. but this time many people seen trump candidacy differently, this is because during the campaigning phase pre-election, guys like lutnick were gathering together trumps admin team/cabinet nominee's and everyone seen that this term was going to be more organised and had plans to actually do things. such as mentioning elon joining and others who had actual roles to play and objectives to meet

if you dig deeper you will see key people like lutnick whom was a dem guy but switched to Rep, and he was the one that gathered the golden team that became trumps admin/cabinet.

yes trump is trump, but with the aides of his cabinet, things do feel different this time, things are moving faster and objective and pledges are being met

you can spot times that trump when speaking stays on topic and gets the message over concisely, and other times where trump does his normal meandering waffles that go off topic. you can tell which days he is being himself vs delivering a message prepared before the camera's switch on

Smiles... Creating world peace like you mentioned actually takes more than just rhetorics. It requires some serious efforts in trade negotiations, balanced judgement and reduced interference in subregional conflicts especially that which the states won't favour. The more the country dabbles into the affairs of other less power countries in support of in defence, without being balanced in its judgements does undermine the efforts of human rights, sovereignty of the state and international peace. Canada for instance didn't just bend the knee, they basically acted in their way to protect their own interests just like any other nation will do in trade disputes. The president sends the signal of a fearless, bold and decisive leader but the reality is whether these changes he's trying to bring including the crime  and mental illness  will stand the test of time and be beneficial to all Americans not a class or section of them.

the presiding president nominates and appoints the federal reserve governors, where they have ongoing contracts that expire every 2 years on a february(feb2026 is next one), but can be renewed to last a full term of 14 years, so it is in his power to decide who is or isnt worthy of the job

trying to get her "fired" would be a lengthy process of finding her guilty of a crime and then trying to get the senate to confirm it which could take longer then 6 months to 'force' a firing.. . but simply nominating someone new and starting the process of just not renewing her contract in february is a easier/quicker method

he simply can just wait it out and choose not to renew her 2 year term contract. using the investigation of her mortgage fraud as reason for replacing her with a new nominee/appointment

The Federal Reserve is playing politics. As much as I don’t think lowering interest rates is the right move, it needs to happen to show the Fed they aren’t above the law. Lowering rates for Biden when inflation was rampant and not lowering them for Trump when inflation is at bay is wrong (even if it is probably the right move, lowering for Biden definitely wasn’t).

Personally, I would’ve rather seen him legalize the burning of the pride flag instead of protecting the American flag. The first move of his I am strongly against. I’m sure there will be more as Republicans overreach in response to the insanity the Democrats have been engaging in the last 17 years.
