OK, i was going to say that I do not agree with you and that there is nothing as illusion of control, and that this term is simply something you coined up yourself, but before posting this comment, I decided to run a small research on Google and I found out that you are actually right.

Personally, I did not believe that there is any such thing as people having the illusion that they can control the outcome of their gambling games to the extent of even deciding when to win, which like we know is not actually possible especially when it comes to luck deciding games like slots, casinos games and even sports betting, having such believe or illusion can surely lead to unprepared loses and maybe a fraustrated life since the gambler will often lose money when they least expect it, illusions like this is something every gambler must avoid.

No matter how much effort  we put in the truth is luck will come when ever it pleases itself. I know most people spend a lot of time analysing games just to come of with a good selection but irrespective  of those selected game if we aren't lucky then there would be no win for the day. I think it could be both greed and illusion control that make a person gamble continuously till they lose all. But the problem is how to identify that it's an illusion control because when a person is driven by this force, it is difficult to know if you are getting addicted or not. A lot of people will win and keep playing, I will win and keep the win because if I keep playing I know im gonna lose it all like you said straight to the casino who wins the long game for sure.
