The Feeling of Paying a Food Bill with Bitcoin

One of my acquaintances owns a restaurant. From the earnings of his restaurant, he covers his family expenses every month and saves some money separately. Let me first clear my point, the point is that Bitcoin is not legal in my country. Since Bitcoin is not legal in my country, I could not buy anything directly from my country with Bitcoin. However, even though Bitcoin is not legal in my country, I am transferring my Bitcoin to my local currency through p2p due to which I am able to buy everything with my local currency. But the most important thing here is that if Bitcoin did not exist, I would not have been able to convert it to my local currency through p2p. However, I hope that if Bitcoin transactions and Bitcoin are ever legalized in my country, then such a situation will be created in my country where people will easily accept Bitcoin, be it in various restaurants, shops or shopping malls, and if this facility is taken, it will definitely be of great benefit to us.

I don't know whether Bitcoin has been shilled on media and in community as a high-yield investment asset as its only benefit to Bitcoin holders. Bitcoin provides more use cases than investment and people can either invest their money in bitcoin, hold it for profit, or only buy it for their business deals with partners. They can practice both investment and use bitcoins for other things with their capital.

What you should have also asked him is wether he buys his food items with bitcoin and then you will get to understand that the bitcoin he receives from you will go into his investment box that will generate him more profit. it cost too little to get a decent meal and paying for such with bitcoin is not actually a wise thing to do if you ask me. when there is a need to spend ones bitcoin, it should be spent on things that is actually worth it because for most individual, bitcoin is more than an ordinary asset to just exchange for any thing.

look at the case of the pizza guy, if he knew where bitcoin will get to at this time, he will not do what we can now describe as wasting of ones bitcoin. of cause, you are the owner of the bitcoin so you can decide to exchange it for anything but then, i do not see myself exchanging my bitcoin for a thing as small as food bill.

I've bought a few small things with BTC just to say I did. The "pleasure" was the geeky satisfaction of completing a peer-to-peer electronic cash transaction, like Satoshi envisioned. But honestly, it was clunky and I immediately thought "I should have just used cash." For daily use, the volatility and tax tracking kill the fun. It's more a proof-of-concept than a pleasure.
