From the general point of view about this
We can say 1-3 years can be considered as short term investment or for moderate growth
Then 3-5 years can be considered as a mid-term to long-term investment or for a significant growth
Where something around 5+ years is for absolute long term investment for potentially substantial returns.
But it all falls back to what goal and plans of investment with Bitcoin you are looking at, and your age and expectations of time.

And when that two years reaches, I re-evaluate the what I have achieved and either continue or take profit and leave the capital to continue another cycle. That it my long term investment there.

Bitcoin Investment time for hodling is a subjective matter to the investor and consequent to his income flow and the measure of uncertainties he encounters in his holding period.  Primarily every buyer of bitcoin may have the instinct to hold for at least another bull run circle to make profit but in the course of the time there are challenges that might surface to hinder the long term plan which may have been enlongated if all things had gone as planned. But for a smooth hodling situation 8 years is enough time to call it a long time holding.

2 years might feel like a long time it is like forever timeframe, but in crypto it is not always enough especially with how deeep and unpredictable the bear markets can get some altcoins don’t even survive one full cycle and that is where long term patience really matters a lot. It should be understood that the term long-term investment has different meanings for cryptocurrencies and classic assets. Given the fact that the full cycle of Bitcoin from halving to halving is 4 years, I would stick to this period to determine a long-term investment.

It is always based on yourself and who is very patient and can save money. They can only invest for a long time in this way. They think that whatever I do, I have to invest it for 8 to 10 years in the future. So that my future changes completely. Although many entertaining plans at the beginning, it cannot be implemented. Everyone certainly has a different understanding of long-term investment planning. Some use the halving moment as a reference, while others do not care about the timing of their investment plans, but simply continue to accumulate the Bitcoin they own.
I do not hold for a long time. I also only buy Bitcoin for a timeframe that I determine. Although I also sell some when I want to sell them due to needs or other reasons.

This is my point exactly. I sell during bull years, and buy during bear years, and have a 4 year cycle. So in this case, sold at 2021, and bought at 2022. II unfortunately had to sell most of mine in 2023 , still to profit of course, still made money, and that wasn't bad, but I would have made x3 more profit now if I stayed.

In any case, that is what I will do now. I will sell when it peaks this year (or if it falls to 100k) and then I will buy next year when it goes under 50k. Those are my numbers for this version, under 50k is good to buy, and over 150k is good to sell for now. I am not sure if we will reach above 150k this year, but I am aiming at it, and will sell at 150k, and if not, then I will sell somewhere when it's going down.

This is where purposeful investment comes in. I support and encourage purposeful investment and savings. Some people keeps investing without a goal and that is why it is always like they are caught-up in the circle that they don't know when to exit the market. When you invest with goal, you will exit your investment when your goal is achieved. So, I support the idea that short and term investment differs and depends on plans. What would be a short term investment for Mr A, could be a long term investment for Mr. B. Although, I have stated the time fram above.

Unfortunately we are not talking about those Alt coins that are only feasible to yield good profits for investors in the short period of hyping times and later get dumped for the rest of it. Bitcoin has shown sustainable values over the past 15 years of it existence so, it is a stress talking about assets that can hold a lest two years of sustainability here.
