Sex education is important and the more we allow these children especially the teenagers to be exposed to the reality in all these the better for them being helped and saved from any assault of sexual act, also, not only in school should this be taught, parents also have their responsibility to do the needful at home with their children by enlightening them on the necessary things needed of them to do or know about sex, lastly, i will go by saying this, we should also be mindful of the kind of environment we live in, such must be the type that is more adaptive for preferred kind of lifestyle we want for them

if you dont want to put the porn down. atleast reach the end of the video to see the credits and read that the majority of people in the sex industry are male.

and if the majority of your own sex education came from porn. then we(men) definitely need better sex education in school, to avoid learning bad habits from porn

genuine question to ask yourself to analyse how you perceive women and have ended up treating women:
how many hours of sex education school curriculum have you gone through when younger.
 i bet its only about a couple hours per year at middle-high(secondary) school, so ~14 hours max
how many hours of porn have you watched.. work out the ratio of which has affected your perceptions and interactions with women more

If this can be considered as sex education given to students in school, then I would say we are going too far from what the main sex education is supposed to be. For me, I think the main sex education that is supposed to be given to the girl child is to create awareness of the sexual parts of the body and not to give anyone the chance to abuse these sexual parts. But if schools go to the extent of introducing contraceptives to students to control childbirth, it is not bad, because the reason might just be for the government to be able to manage the population.

Based on a WHO and UNESCO study, a comprehensive sex education reduces unwanted pregnancies, delays sexual initiation, and reduces the transmission of sexually transmitted diseases. There may be resistance from other sectors due to religious and cultural beliefs, but it’s something we should have in our school.
We are living in a liberal society because of social media, and sex education is the answer to the many bad effects of free sex

The concept sex education isn't basically just about contraceptives and how to prevent pregnancies and distribution of condoms.

It's majorly to enlighten people how and what sex is. It's nature, effect and how it even occurs in some instances. So to me, sex education will curb out these acts because it even teaches the advantages and disadvantages of these contraceptives because I believe some persons don't even know that contraceptives have their own disadvantages.

Sex education is good, and yes it will help relinquish this menace as you put it.

Well I do think and believe sex educational classes should be taught as early as the fifth grade. The more you educate young students you can make them aware about the dangers of contracting a sexual transmitted disease.

We would also be able to reduce the percentage of unprotected sex for teen pregnancies. Not only will it have a big impact on school campuses. But as well at home because parents will have to do their part on their end.

at 5th grade it should not be talks of how to have sex, like "sex is when a man inserts his genitals inside a womans genitals, and when they do it, it feels good and is natural" as that just entices people to be more curious and want to experiment/try it

its the same as telling a 5th grader who never knew before about how everyone enjoys nike shoes and pokemon cards. suddenly that kid wants them too

at 5th grade it should be more about preparing for the biological changes of puberty, how hormones are going to affect their feelings, emotions and how they may react in situations, how they may perceive and see the opposite gender, and how hormones can overwhelm their decision making process.. where they need to learn to think before they act and learn to respect each other. whereby its not just about sex but also about handling the rebellious teen stages of acting out and going against good life choices, teaching them about relationships, respect and consent

then introducing more detail as time goes on.. basically an actual planned curriculum suitable for the age group. and not "thrusting" the word sex into them

Obviously yes, parents should be up and doing in educating their children when it comes to sex. But you will agreed with me that most parents who are fathers and mothers of this children lack morals and chastity and do not have the moral justification knowledge to give this children sex education.

Sex education in schools have been ongoing for a long time now and even the little ones at the age of 4 are being taught about sex and private parts and from my findings it has been really helpful to teach the younger generation about sex, its consequences, the good and the bad side of it and then give them the chance to make their choices, I have never heard of young girls taking contraceptives implantation before and since these girls are already at 18yrs then they are considered as young adults and have the right to make decisions. but then, sex education is important for them to know how to handle or prevent any future emergencies.

Sex Education in school isn't a bad idea, because the rate at which adolescent indulge in sextual practices and the use of drugs is alarming. Charity they say begins at home and we are made to understand that parents are their kids first models, what ever they see at home is likely what they'll replicate outside..

Before a child reaches the age for school, or when the child gets to some age mothers are meant to teach their child whether boy/girl the basic parts of the body and call out its name's, some mother's or parents will shy away from the truth and that's why when this children goes out it becomes extremely difficult to hold them because they learnt things the bad way..

There's nothing wrong in telling your child about sex and how it works, the dangers involved, how pregnancy comes about and the danger of contraceptive. If you don't teach them the society will and friend's as well.. they should start from homes before it gets to school that way it will be easier to hold the young ones from going astray..

My older sister and her hubby usually sit their kid of 8,4 and 5 to tell them things about sex, their bodies and just incase any touches them in school, or anywhere they should report to their teachers or talk to them once they get home, catching them young from home will help and make things easier for the teacher and society at large if you ask me..

I remember when one Adolescents told me she had something to do with her friend and took pills already but she was worried if it worked, so she had to confide in me because according to her she can't discuss such things with her mum as she doesn't have time for her. Sex education is also taught in Nigeria schools as a topics and I have been taught too by my teacher back then.  Most of us then usually frown when we were been taught but little did we know that it was for our own good. sex education is very important truth be told. because teenagers need to learn the truth about sex so they can stay safe and make better choices as they grow older and become sexually active. schools should teach it, but parents also need to guide their children at home. when children get this knowledge from both school and home, it sure helps prevent mistakes, abuse and unwanted problems in the society. we also need to give them a safe and healthy environment to grow up in, because that affects how they live and the choices they make while growing up.

Let it be taught in school and at home it is better they know it than shallowing in ignorance, most times not letting the children know about sexual education becomes more harm than good but the truth is that while this will be going on the children should be on a close watch to ensure that they are all in good conduct, my most concern about this topic is that it should be taught in school because most parents are found of shying away from this responsibility and endangering or putting their children at risk, parents should be close and open to their children in such a way that they can talk about literarily everything at when necessary.

When it comes to topics as sensitive as this, one would see it as the role or responsibility of the school. Yes, the school has its own role to play, but it is somehow limited. The parents have more role to play here because it is their child, and every parent does not want their children to get caught up in a situation of unwanted pregnancy, so they would have to play their role in educating their children about sex.

The school already has a curriculum they follow, and to the best of the efforts of the teachers, they just give a surface tip about sex education while teaching health-related matters in the classroom. I don't really know the kind of teenagers that are being given birth to now because most of them are so corrupt even at a very tender age. The worst set of children are those who stays together in school hostels, they are so corrupt and sometimes it could not even be a practice they learnt from their classmates but some teachers also engage in misleading them about sexual pleasures and since they are naive, they are very easy to entice. I think it is the duty of parents to monitor their children very closely especially the female genders, the reason why am emphasizing on the female gender is because they are the ones that are prone to unwanted pregnancies due to unprotected sex. I know that an 18 years old is considered an age they can have sexual experiences but they ought to be guided so that they can maintain good morals in the society. Parents should create time, no matter how tedious the nature of their works are but they should be able to give these children the right counsel about sex education. I want to sound this warning also regarding the move to introduce s3x education in schools, this has to be done with ultimate care in other not to pass wrong message to the students that they begin to know and get exposed to what they are not supposed to know, which means, educating them must be done in using a proper channel or approach that will help conveyed all the necessary information needed without leaving any dent on them concerning it, because a the end, we cant afford solving a problem and instead, creating more to complicate and worsen the issue.
