[Art Contest] CELEBRATING 65 YEARS OF INDEPENDENCE

As we draw near to celebrate our 65 years of Independence on the 1st October 2025, we can celebrate this journey out of freedom in a unique way by being creative and displaying our thoughts of talents in a work of Art.

Rules Before Joining

1. Participants  must be an active local board member
2. Participants account must be 3 months older than the creation of this contest.
3. Use of AI is strictly prohibited.
4. Use of Alt accounts is strictly prohibited.
5. Each participant 1 entry.
6.  All ranks are eligible.
7. Judging by the deciders won't be based on design alone but including visual significance, the concept behind your art.
8. Contest begins from today till 24-09-2025, 1 week will be used for voting. Winners and rewards will be sent on the 1st October.

Title: Naija independence day x BTC

Summary of my entry

My entry with a comic style is made up of 7 panels with different scenes, that briefly explain how a young boy invested his fortune on cryptocurrency specifically BTC

Panel 1 and 2 explain how he invested into BTC years back when bitcoin was around $1,000, although feels discouraged but with the mentality that naija gained her independence, he can as well get the same results

Panel 3: years later where he had forgotten about investing into BTC,
date recorded first October 2025 which was naija 65 Independence Day. He discovered a newsletter at his workplace

Panel 4 to 6 explain the amazement he got by recalling investing into BTC some years back after seeing the newsletter that read bitcoin at its peaks of around 116,000USD to 117,500 USD
"a day of Independence"

Panel 7: A day he will always remember
1 BTC to 11750 0.30 USD
"if naija can gain her independence, you can also gain your freedom"

I’m very excited for this wonderful opportunity to showcase our skill on the Independence Day celebration, I want to say a very big thank you to OP for creating this Threadz that was so thoughtful of you , we really appreciate, and to everyone who has also contributed in one way or the other to the contest thank you all.

My artwork celebrates Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day which is 1st October, It shows freedom, peace, and unity through the dove, broken chains, and raised fists.

The Bitcoin symbol represents financial independence and how Nigeria unity can increase Bitcoin adoption.

The image on my artwork contest represents how Nigeria unity will increase Bitcoin adoption .

The chain on the artwork is like Nigeria government not adopting Bitcoin, which  without Bitcoin adoption we don’t know the fate of our youth .

The Bitcoin sign inside a hand means financial freedom and independence. It suggests that Bitcoin could help Nigeria achieve economic liberation.

The breaking of the chain illustrates freedom, unity oneness or togetherness of the people will break every barrier that will lead to lack of Bitcoin adoption.

In simple words, The art is saying Nigeria is 65 years free, and true independence means freedom, peace, unity, and financial empowerment (possibly through Bitcoin) which can help break us free from financial crisis and create more financial empowerment not to replace our “Naira” but to give Nigerians an alternative financial lifeline, protecting savings, enabling global trade, and reducing dependence on unstable systems.

My entry to 2025 Niaja independence creative Art

There are some elements in this art and each element represents a message that shares a relationship with been independent.

Africans suffered alot in the hands of colonialism, even before the colonial master there were lots of slavery that happened which never favour the Africans, they have always take everything we got, the natural resources, the traditional artifacts and the lands but there is something they have not taken from African, that's our native cooking.

There has been a lot of transformation and mix culture between Nigeria and the west but there is something they have not been able to replace, that's our native food. We don't play with our food because it's what represents Nigeria, each ethnic groups in Nigeria has their native food they cook and they are very proud of it.

We have been free from the colonial master for years now and has been a stand alone country, we don't depend on them to survive but we still trade good and services. This is where Bitcoin came in, if you want independency you need to have Bitcoin. It's the only currency you can have without depending on government.

Time: is everything and it doesn't wait for nobody, people that bought Bitcoin years back had it cheaer, people that bought it last year bought it cheap, we don't know how much it will cost in years to come. Now is the time to buy Bitcoin.

Finally did mine
Here is a summary of my entry, which was digitally put together.
I worked with a clock, a growing plant, bitcoin logo and colours red, green, white on a white canva.

1. Nigeria is in red bleeding fonts. This is an expression of the current situation of the country, which is critically bad.

2. Even though Nigeria is 65, we can see that the nation is bland,  to every one, young and old. There is nothing much to be excited about as the nation deteriorates on a daily basis.

3. We have a wide divide between Nigeria and Cryptocurrency which is represented in our age long Ankara fabrics that stands the test of time. Meaning it may tarry but there is progress certainly. Although crypto is gradually improving  the lives of those who have received it, there is still so much to cover.

The of growth can be seen as illustrated using a sprouting plant on the stack of Bitcoin. There is a clock beside our bitcoin meaning it will take time but bitcoin and cryptocurrency will keep growing to the far ends of our dear nation, despite the government's blindness and blatant refusal to let crypto breath.

Thank you OP for this idea that has given me the privilege to participate, in a contest on this platform for the first time.

MY ENTRY IS ALL ABOUT THE POSSIBILITY OF BITCOIN BEING ACCEPTED AND ANNOUNCED ON NEWSPAPER AS OFFICIAL TENDER

The drawing is all about Bitcoin as the financial key and sign of  freedom for many Nigerians on their means of attaining financial independence and freedom. Also on same note Nigeria itself is celebrating its freedom and independence from its colonial masters on the memorial day which is 1st October.

The whole idea is for the possibility that Bitcoin get announced as official tender and legally accepted currency on the same day as when Nigeria gained freedom, which is what is displayed on the image as BTC is the key opening Nigeria and giving its citizens financial freedom.

Hopefully my imagination comes true 😊😊

CONCEPT:
This shows how Bitcoin is helping us as a youth unite and grow, making our Nation better, rather than being lost trying to find a white collar job to earn a living in a country with a limited employment opportunities. Many are adopting it and this is because many are sharing the freedom from Bitcoin and we all are being united through this freedom.

NAIJA INDEPENDENCE CREATIVE ART CONTEST

SIMPLE CONCEPT: This is my first time creating art like this and the plan was to do something good and long lasting so I can keep it in my bedroom as a symbol of the Nigerian Independence Day Art Contest. My creativity was summoned by my friends who mobilize me to do something magnificent for our country Independence Day.

Procedures:


I cut out the sharp of Bitcoin and the sharp of the Nigerian map/flag before I cut it into two parts. I included Bitcoin logo because Nigeria is the number country in Africa that has large adoption of Bitcoin.


I cut the Nigerian map/flag into two painted in green colour. Nigeria as a country has colour of a green and a white.  making it green white green.


The heros of our nation will never go in vain. I drew a shape in black colour of the heroes of our nation to remind this generation that people fought for the liberty we are enjoying now. A reminiscent of of how our heroes agitated for the independence of the Republic of Nigeria. A sign of growth remarkable events!


I drew and added October 1st as the day this great nation called Nigeria got independence. I also added the Bitcoin logo because Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa and the most largest Bitcoin users in Africa. Don't play or you'll learn!


I remembered that Nigeria has a sufficient black diamond called Crude Oil so I decided to add diamond stone to show how wealthy is Nigeria. The diamond stone illustrate the riches of our nation.


I was encouraged to add a frame to it to show the beauty of this nation and how coordinated all the ethnic groups are to hold this country as one. No matter the trials, conflicts we'll stay as one Nigeria.
