It affects JavaScript. I don't believe Armory nor any of the other known open source desktop wallets uses that.

I don't think it's ever used by Armory or any other known open source desktop wallet. But maybe it could affect JavaScript. I fully believe that open source desktop wallets don't use it or are unlikely to.
