Recently got some 3s for my shed turned into a mini office for the winter, I normally have a small 750w heater in there, but as power is stupidly over priced in my country, two of these beauty's keep the chill off the air and only use just under 300w, also adding to my pool contributions so happy all round.

That's a really smart setup! It is really economical to use your 3s miners to not only heat your shed-turned-office but also to put funds into your mining pool especially with the high electric bills. I wonder, how noisy are they and is it still pleasant enough to work in your little office all day?

I just updated the Mini 3 to the newest fw (from June 2025) and it has some improvements,
including a web browser GUI!

Canaan, you should maybe more promote the FW updates for these Home series gear.

It does, since it has the web browser GUI.
But functions there are limited and sadly it doesnt have all same things than the android app.
The android app also works with this new fw, so I recommend you to try the update

I am unable to update it. After scanning the ports and id'ing the miner, it shows waiting. When clicking update, the software gives error as fail.

no dead miner after a couple of months like with the majority of manufacturers out there. My unit has been working for several years, survived water flooding, and is still churning along.
