i found a research which identified four psychological traits contributing to risk for problem gambling. these are the four Es: escape, esteem, excess and excitement.

escape: when people try to find an escape from stress and all their other problems through gambling, more problem arises and addiction happens
esteem: when people try to find their value through materialistic things and wins in gambling, addiction happens
excess: when people gamble excessively, that is when addiction happens
and excitement: people get excitement from gambling and they no longer know how to stop and that's when addiction happens

this is my understanding of the four Es. do you agree or no?
Nice research and the four Es is quet interest to me but the first E which is escape, so am wondering how someone will try and escape from his present problem by running to gambling. I see this as evading responsibility because anyone who is responsible for his life and actions will try and escape from it by gambling. I don't agree with this very point that people gamble as a result of escaping from their present problems.

Looking at the topic of gambling addiction, I have more often heard that it affects precisely those people who have a genetic inheritance, I mean, when the inheritance passes into gambling parents to children and they also become very gambling.
Not genetic but simply inherited because this is what the child see in their environment. Genetic is something from within though. I wouldn't mind to be like my gambler parents but that is if they are successful but that is unlikely in regards to gambling. So as a parent, we must be responsible enough and don't play gambling within the reach of our children. This is more risky as when a kid got hooked in video games because it costs money. And this is why there is a minimum age requirement for this.

And also, the creation of gambling addiction in a person is always facilitated by the immeasurable blind perseverance that people who either persistently play sports usually have. Or they love watching sports on their own and making predictions. In general, those who have competitive traits in their character.
Sports has a positive impact in the body and can actually make one to stay away from risky and negative things like gambling. Being competitive or for one to predict if which player or team can win is one of the mechanics of sports, and does not generally lead for a person to be a gambler.
