Damn, its kinda savage story dude. to be honest it can be a little dangerous, I agree that sharing big wins online is not only a source of pride however also a celebration of achievement,  but the moment you start giving out too much personal information, the risk of identity theft, scams or even blackmail increases. In todays online era, it is not uncommon for oversharing on social media to lead to incidents like identity  theft,  fraud or unathorized access. So I am not saying that you should keep your wins in the dark however rather share them with trusted friends or family or using the privacy settings of Instagram Facebook. This way you could enjoy your success, but dont make yourself or the people around you feel insecure.

The world is gradually turning into something, you know some people are just human but animals in disguise. celebrating a win is not actually bad that's if you're doing it within yourself or maybe with your loved ones. posting a win for the media to see is very wrong even though we may be seeing Alot of people posting thier winings in the media but that's not something we should be trying to imitate because such habit is not good, though it may look very common to them but they're indirectly putting themselves into danger even though some people may choose to post anonymously yet is not even safe, I know that there is a lot of excitement whenever we encounter Big win but we shouldn't get carried away by those excitement.

A friend of my who has being a gambler and has being known for winning reasonable amount at least twice a year, I don't know how he does it, but this time had a very big win in gambling, but this time could not control himself, went online and posted his success, two days later we started seeing strange faces within the neighborhood looking for him and his house, because we new what he has just achieved and he was not around for security purposes, we pretended not to have idea about him or where he lives, because their appearance looks suspicious, they are your guys, so we started passing information around the neighborhood of our observation and some guys were confident enough to ask them why are they looking for him , their response was he had a big win in gambling which he posted online in his Facebook account and so they have come to collect their share, information got to him where he was and he never came back to his house for almost one year.
We all were very angry towards his actions because he has exposed himself and the entire neighborhood to danger at any time.it's height time we start living a private life as a gambler and controlling our emotions for the safety of ourselves and our families .

Your story is a bit weird, but I guess the gist of it is that you should be careful who you share financial information with as there may be some bad people out there who will come to take it. It's natural that sometimes we get carried away with a big win and perhaps overshare with different people when we should really be humble, keeping it to ourselves. The point is that it is very hard to announce failure. It's only success they are announcing because everyone is avoiding negative comments. And the fact is that when something great happens in someones life, unexpectedly as it happened surprisely.There is always one great joy at that particular moment,and sometimes it is hard to control.you will just feel like everyone should be happy with you as you are happy at that momment, and that is the reason many people go to some lengths even taking some actions they are not supposed to take. The best thing to do in life is to always move in silence, the same way you take your losses in private that's the same way your wins should also be handled. I think it has a lot to do with maturity and self control, some people lack the ability to keep their excitement contained. Being noisy about your wins is only going to attract unnecessary attention and there are lots of dangers that can come with this

Well... I may not believe that those are bad guys because if they were they would not had said it that they came for their share of their friends massive wins. I think they were being sincere. They could be other of his friends that you people in the neighborhood is not aware of.

It is a childish character that can make someone post his wins online. A reasonable person who is matured and knows the implications of exposing ones secret will never post such thing online. The whole world must not know when we win big because when we are in dark losing back to back, no body hear about it not when we win one big time then we want people to see us a good predictor. He has learned his lesson the hard way, and next time he will be very private in terms of money, not gambling winning, as you can predict the mind of the next person who is listening to you and what they plan to do next, and don't call those people amateurs. The main reasons people make their winning public is for the pride or for the purpose of gaining followers for those that display their winning ticket on social media, although most of them are from scammers that are looking for ways to lure their potential victim. There's no way I'm going to do that. They don't even know I'm gambling online. Also, for what, for them to ask for money or tips? No way. I'd catch more evil eyes if I did that.
