1-In my last post, I denounced Changelly
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5559617.new#new

I also filed complaints in several places.
I discovered that Ledger has some obscure connection to Changelly, and they removed my post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/1nl1slc/removed_by_moderator/

Many users complain that Ledger has some obscure connection to Changelly:
https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/1n5ilr9/is_changelly_still_not_recommended_on_ledger_live/?tl=pt-br
https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/comments/1ms29zy/ledger_please_put_a_warning_before_recommending/?tl=pt-br

To me, this only serves to prove that Ledger can be held criminally liable for this. Clearly, they are working together against the people.

The post I published in the ledger was like this:
https://www.reddit.com/r/dogemarket/comments/1njwjdc/i_took_a_changelly_pro_scam_they_robbed_me_doges/

2-Could someone post on my behalf on Dogecoin? Every time I post, it gets deleted by a moderator.

Ledger simply integrates the Changelly service without switching tabs (well, they probably share some of the profits from each exchange). As I understand their T&C[1][2], Ledger explicitly limits its liability to the hardware wallet and Ledger Live itself, not necessarily covering the user's risk caused by Changelly.

And for exactly that reason I never exchanged anything directly on Ledger, even though some of my friends did and they had no problems.

It was probably just dumb luck on their part that verything went fine without any hassle.

same here, and it's not just ledger or trezor or any other wallet (hardware or software), it's best to never use the in wallet swap feature unless you know for sure they are using a DEX.
as they all pretty much rely on changelly, changenow, n.exchange, etc... to do the swaps.

It was probably just dumb luck on their part that verything went fine without any hassle.
that, or they just didn't exchange a high enough amount to trigger KYC, or some of their stupid AML checks by sending "dirty" coins.

One of them exchanged pretty decent amount (mid 5 figure, from ETH to sUSDT ) but somehow it went through without KYC and no issues whatsoever so I guess it has to be dumb luck. After he saw some other people having issues with changelly, he didn't do it again.

People need to understand that it went fine for someone else, but that doesn't mean it would go fine for me either. It's good to know that your friend didn't try it again. It may be easy to exchange directly from the wallet, but I think it has a risk since the exchange is third-party, and the wallet doesn't provide support for these issues. I have seen cases of trust wallets where people lost money during a swap because of a token/coin that had a similar name. We have seen several cases where the users' funds were stuck on exchanges while the users tried to exchange funds within their wallets. People just need to stop it and start using more reliable service.

it's been almost 5 months since they are gone, and i still can't find an exchange that comes even close to what eXch was.

your friend got balls. i wouldn't dare send more than a few $$$$ at once for an exchange, and that on the ones i trust. i would rather spend more time, pay more fees to do my swap in batches than risk losing a big amount of money at once if shit hit the fan.

Ledger is just a reseller of Changelly in this case. Like many newly created "one-man show" instant exchanges
To avoid confusion, Trezor, which is much more reliable and has a healthier reputation, also uses (and perhaps still uses) Changelly and Changenow, among others, as partners. My Trezor suite says they are currently using Invity as their swap gateway.

i'm aware of splash.tf, but the thing is... i mainly use LTC and USDT to pay for stuff/withdraw from sites, which i then swap to bitcoin to add to my stash as needed.
but sadly they don't support either. they do offer DAI as a pair, but not many of the sites i use support it for payments.

i had it soo good with eXch Sad

Doesn't look bad, considering that they are still quite new. Have you tried the, an if yes whats your feedback?

Lack of USDt wouldn't be such a big problem for me as it is for Zwei as I don't mind DAI, but their reserves are quite low, and so is the volume. Hopefully that changes in the future. Anyway, I'll definitely keep an eye of them.

If you think better, splash.tf is defined based on the advantages and disadvantages of eXch.
For example, USDT has always been questionable on truly no-KYC services, due to its centralization and the risk of locking the token at any time. Also, they are not aligned with the MiCA regulation, which will eventually distance USDT from the countries that adhere to it (EU).
eXch has always hinted at a possible transition to DAI (when it comes to stablecoins)

Doesn't look bad, considering that they are still quite new. Have you tried the, an if yes whats your feedback?
Tried several times. Only a positive experience, plus the exchange rate is quite competitive. One of the best when compared to other instant exchanges. I once had a problem with the RBF function, but their support solved it in a very short time, and soon after they fixed the "bug".

They were aware of the problem of small reserves and announced an increase. As far as I can see, these days they have added more DAI coins to the reserves, so it can be said that they are monitoring the situation.
Obviously, only at the beginning, but I see them as the most serious for the potential successors of eXch.

If I remember correctly ledger used multiple third party exchanges as their third party partners, and I think changelly is one of them.
I heard many complains about them so I would strongly advice against using this exchange, with or without ledger.
Than I would also stop using ledger and all other closed source wallets, especially if they are publicly confirmed blocking transactions because of compliance, like ledger is doing  Tongue
