Bitcoin indeed challenge the option of centralized banking, but the idea of it total replacement of banks in 15 years time seems really unlikely. Governments, the regulation system, and the need for stability will make replacement difficult.
Replacement of the traditional system is not something that is going to happen. If we are being honest to ourselves, how many bitcoiners truly care about decentralization? They preach decentralization but on the contrary won't stop using the centralised exchanges which make Bitcoin somehow centralised. People are so stuck with the traditional banking system; in the next 15 years, not much will change. What's more true is that Bitcoin and other digital assets may operate side by side traditional banking, while in some countries with less currencies or insufficient banking infrastructure, crypto may have a huge part to play. Though banks are now adapting with digital currencies and blockchain combination.
Countries with less infrastructures (poor countries) will see Bitcoin more as an investment they can make money from. I doubt anyone is going to treat it as a means of payment as hodling would be the main goal for many. The traditional banking system will still be available for most of the payments and receipts transactions. The side by side scenario looks more posible. The traditional system won't s stop, they’re going to be forced to integrate. As we’re already seeing major banks offer crypto custody. The replacement won't look like a revolution, but rather a slow integration that the backend of banking eventually runs on blockchain without the average user even realizing it. https://21bitcoin.app/en/blog/how-is-bitcoin-changing-the-traditional-financial-systemYeah, what we are likely going to witness is integration and not an outright replacement. Bitcoin will continue to exist as a cryptocurrency and, importantly, a store of value, while traditional currency (fiat) and banks will remain in place to fill the gaps Bitcoin may not be able to bridge. In addition, blockchain technology will become a major part of the traditional banking system. The traditional banking system will always exist.

Banking remains crucial to the economy, so I don't see any possibility that Bitcoin could ever replace it. There are so many essential banking functions that Bitcoin can't completely replace, and that's what makes it so difficult for Bitcoin to replace banking.
What Bitcoin can best achieve is as an alternative payment method and store of value, which people can use and have complete control over.

Bitcoin replacing the traditional Fiat system may not be completely achieved now, but we are very confident of seeing them both exist together and serving as an alternative, we cannot see of the future to come but very confident of the present situation as bitcoin is being well accepted globally and it's serving the expected purpose for its creation, while nothing a risk for every users to lose for adoption, as the future remains clear and visible for bitcoin to remain an ever existing currency.

It's still a long way off from saying that Bitcoin will replace traditional banking. Although Bitcoin is already well-known worldwide, it requires real legality to compete with traditional banks. Of course, governments will never allow Bitcoin to circulate freely around the world. The most compelling reason is that if Bitcoin is allowed to circulate as a medium of exchange, we may lose our national currency in the future. This is why Bitcoin has not been accepted as a medium of exchange in some countries.

I think governments don’t legalize bitcoin for several different reasons. First, they still don’t fully understand how to build proper regulations in a way that doesn’t violate people’s rights, or how to control and regulate it without creating problems for themselves. A large amount of corrupt money is hidden in cryptocurrencies, and any laws or tools they create could potentially be used against the politicians themselves. It’s also worth noting that many people in government are older and set in their ways, so an innovation like integrating bitcoin into a country’s economy may seem almost unreal to them, like something out of science fiction. Personally, I’m not too concerned about the fact that bitcoin isn’t widely accepted at the state level, because I understand that any legalization usually brings taxes, fees, and additional bureaucracy.

There is no reality of it happening, Bitcoin cannot replace fiat in the banking system. We sometimes don't realize the power government have in controlling fiat, fiat is a must have, first currency priority in any country. Bitcoin will serve alternatively to any fiat, I see no reason why we must place Bitcoin ahead, government will only allow currencies which they can adjust, plus Bitcoin volatility which is a disadvantage during trades that requires a balanced medium.

Of course, governments will never allow Bitcoin to circulate freely around the world.
By design BTC has no single point of failure. It was also created as a peer to peer electronic network, so there is really no way the government can stop you from sending or receiving BTC. You can surely move it freely to any part of the world, as a matter of fact, BTC is most suitable for cross-border payments. Government can only regulate crypto services, but not BTC itself. The most compelling reason is that if Bitcoin is allowed to circulate as a medium of exchange, we may lose our national currency in the future.
This isn't true. BTC is not going to replace fiat as the legal tender in any country. The two, BTC and fiat will co-exist.

In the next 15 years the traditional banking will always stand, there’s no point for arguing this besides bitcoin privacy is certain but, to an extend challenge the traditional banking sounds impossible. Regardless bitcoin is treated as an investment scheme more often, in as much as we preach bitcoin in terms of growth, privacy, valuable asset still doesn’t change the fact about traditional banking, a third party system has been for long probably people can’t stay independent due to the risk that comes with it so when dealing with fiat banking system will always dominate except an investment.

I agree with you, people are using bitcoin more as an investment and people cannot hold all their money in bitcoin because they need to perform everyday transaction so what this means is that traditional banking systems will not fade away but just that people will no longer be keeping huge amount of money in traditional Banks, they will prefer to hold it where there is value which is in bitcoin while they keep few amount in fiats for any immediate need that may arise. Bitcoin can't replace traditional banks but it can still dominate the fiat currency in the long term.

When I was a noob and started holding Bitcoin, many believed that the soonest will replace Bitcoin the traditional banking. While it happened for many individuals but in general, this is unlikely. The traditional banking is still needed by many of us and the government itself are behind them. That's why we shouldn't think about this anymore, instead the banks are also going to adopt Bitcoin just as how we adopted it.

Bitcoin indeed challenge the option of centralized banking, but the idea of it total replacement of banks in 15 years time seems really unlikely. Governments, the regulation system, and the need for stability will make replacement difficult. It is really unlikely because the government will not approve Bitcoin to replace banks. We all know that the government want is to be in control and replacing banks with Bitcoin will somehow contrast that ideal. Bitcoin can work as a bank if the bank itself integrate Bitcoin to its service. But surely the decentralization feature of Bitcoin will be nullify by the centralized authority of banks since they are still the one to approve their client transactions.
