Thank you ChiBitCTy for bringing us this exciting competition once again, the 2025 Bitcoin Pumpkin Carving Contest.

The 2024 Pumpkin Carving Contest was sponsored by BC Games and was managed by (icopress)
Last year, 10 contestants won the Bitcoin pumpkin carving contest. And there we were able to see each user's handmade Bitcoin pumpkin carvings which were really interesting and each person's great design. We will see the Bitcoin Pumpkin Carving Contest again in 2025. It will be very interesting to see the great designs created by each contestant.

I was more than glad to see that the pumpkin carving contest was reiterated in 2024 and I was amazed by the excitement it offered to forum users! The number of participants hit a record -- there were no less than 112 submissions and 181 votes And the number of prizes hit a record as well, because there are 10 (main) winners instead of 8, because BC.GAME decided to add two extra prizes, for the ninth and tenth places as well!

I am congratulating ChiBitCTy for organizing the second edition of the pumpkin carving contest and I truly hope that he will keep doing this contest year after year! icopress did an amazing job and managed to find the sponsor of the contest, so his help was extremely valuable. I would like to express my gratitude to everyone who took part in the voting, as well as to everyone who gave a hand of help for this contest. And once more, PowerGlove offered his support and helped me counting the votes! Having two pair of eyes is always better so I thank you very much, PowerGlove, for this hand of help! You are such a valuable member of this community!

Since it's Oct 1st, can we consider the contest to have begun? I'll take the first step in this direction.

In the dark, I'm a little afraid of this pumpkin myself.

This Pamking Carving Contest can't be completed without the word "Bitcoin" (placed on the bottom of the pumpkin) to match the spirit of the bitcointalk event.

Last year the contest was nice even if it is not the Italian custom to make pumpkins
Anything that can bring the community together is great, in my opinion it helps to build community.
I am very happy that the initiative is being repeated

As long as is a pumpkin i believe you are good to go, since ChiBitCTy did not specify any color of pumpkin you have no issues you can use that, in my country we only have green pumpkin too and i have not seen any other color of pumpkin however there may be some other color in some part of my country but I have not seen it, in my region we have only green pumpkin, if I will join this contest I will use the green pumpkin that is located in my region.
I don't even know between the green pumpkin and the other pumpkin which is the best when it comes to taste any one who has tasted both should tell us which is best  .

Pumpkins are back, it is that time of the year again 

I had not participated in the previous years contests therefore will try to make effort for this year. I look forward to looking at your artistic skills. I hope all participants have a lot of fun carving their pumpkins and then showcasing their entries.

I haven't started looking for pumpkins in the area where I work yet. But I'm sure I'll find one. (Maybe.)

However, I'm determined to enter this contest this year. I don't want to miss out on the fun of the season.

I'm not sure if my hands will be skilled enough. Maybe if I carve every day I'll get good at it. But doing it once a year really means having to learn from scratch.

Yesterday marked the official start of the pumpkin carving contest.

Rules: to be included in the competition you must carve a bitcoin themed pumpkin. As long as it’s pumkin of some sort, this qualifies. You must also include a sheet of paper with your username and date next to your work.

Prizes :
First place receives a funded (.001btc) Satori poker chip. Plus .004btc



Second place receives : .0006 btc

Third place receives: .0004 btc

(Will likely add some physical prizes to each winning lot, when I get the chance in the next couple days)

Ends Oct 31st at 12am Los Angeles time zone

Winners will be decided by a method tbd. This will be set up to make as fair as possible.

Actually it's my first time participating in a pumpkin contest and I sincerely want to thank the OP for this contest. And it's also a good one because from what I've read, I have learnt that the pumpkin contest is more like an annual activity.

Perhaps I have already suggested this during discussions at previous Bitcointalk Annual Pumpkin Carving Contests, but even if so, I will repeat it again.

If this contest has become a regular feature on this forum, why not give the winner a pumpkin icon as a prize? What would the forum admins say about that?  Technically, it wouldn't be that difficult. At the very least, a temporary badge could be awarded until next year, after which the badge would be awarded to the new winner of the last competition.

I cannot remember when i saw pumpkins, perhaps cause of the location. It's really hard to find one, no end date for the contest starting Oct 1st, this will help most persons schedule time and make arrangement for the contest.

OP should have made little time to include rules for the contest.

I don’t think this is the pumpkin they are talking about but you could go to market to get the exact pumpkin, however reading to the end of the op you would see that October 31st is the ending date of the carving contest.

You can easily browse all the pumpkin varieties users had last year. I clearly remember there were green ones too. In my country, pumpkin sales are in full swing right now, and there's a variety to suit every taste. However, carving them is quite challenging; it requires not only skill but also considerable strength.

That picture isn't really a photo of a pumpkin, or should I say it is not a pumpkin or.  I definitely understand why you thought it's a pumpkin because the majority of Nigerians believe that to be a pumpkin or a variety of pumpkin.
