For me, football can be the best choice for betting because it is one of the most popular sports, and has a very large number of matches every week, and offers various types of bets, so you can try playing in a league that you understand better and use that knowledge to make more accurate predictions, maybe you will be able to get a higher percentage of wins, just like when you bet on basketball.

Any game can be best choice, basketball can be best or tablet tennis but what matter is which team is playing. Do you know why Premier league is one of the best league in the world? That's because it's one of the most trust judgement league and the most hardest to manipulate and easy to predict, players can't be compromised easily like the rest to the league. Anytime you see me bet on other club, then it's based on the club and not the league entirely.

I can bet on any NBA games without thinking twice but you see college basket ball? I don't value them as much as possible, it's not like they are not good or their games are not entertaining, it's just that a player can easily be compromise which is going to affect your games and your plans but if it's an NBA game, everything there is going to be by merit, no any form manipulation or favoritism, they don't allow such things that's why as a gambler you need to know the kind games you are playing.

Tennis is a sport that gives bigger losses than football or basketball because I rarely bet on the others, but for basketball I only bet on NBA matches because that is the only competition I participate in quite intensively.

Not always in one type of sport, but football is always the main choice.  I would spread it with other sports if I found something interesting, but this is something I rarely do, because I mainly follow football as it also affects the results.

The type of sports you bet on dont really matter, what truly matters is the knowledge you have regarding that sports, how consistently you follow up the game or read statistics to stay updated. You bet with the knowledge you've gained and leave everything to turn out lucky for you.

Football is also my favorite to bet on and it has been the most profitable for me. I stick to the sports I know best when when gambling. Football is the sports I know the most as I have been following that sports since I was a kid. I know football teams of different countries so I find it more easier to analyse. The other sports I bet on is boxing, but I only bet on boxing when there are high profile matches. My advice is to stick to the sports you know best when gambling it will save you a lot.

I usually bet on the moneyline. I like the NBA more, but I’ve actually had more winnings in MLB. That’s why I think you should really explore other sports too. We’re talking about money here, so favoritism shouldn’t be the priority, profit should. It depends on what you consider profitable. All sports pay well depending on the outcome, like betting on darts, which can pay up to 10x, but I have no idea about the rules. In table tennis, I saw a match that pays up to 7x, and I barely know the players. They're all profitable, but you need to know who or what you're betting on...

Just stick to one sport that I know about the team and the player. I only place my bet on football but as I consider that I am not too good at betting, I just bet occasionally. Sometimes betting in the event is good because I can see the team and the player so I can decide to bet or just watch the event.

But we are difficult to profit from betting on sports because the result may change at any time. Even if you think your analysis and prediction are accurate, that will not always give you the win. You should know that many times the weak team can turn the situation and win.

So I just take it easy about profitability because I know that wins and losses will come take turns.

The one where I'm knowledgeable the most is the one that's the most profitable for me.

I mean I haven't tried betting on a sport that I don't have any knowledge with, but what I think is that, it would be better for the bettor to just gamble on a sport where they have knowledge on it because that will help them make better decisions hence, better bets and more chances of winning for them.

I don't want spreading my bets on different sports unless there are 2 sports events that I want to bet with (like NBA Playoffs, and UFC MMA), but for most of the time, I only focus on one sports which usually is Basketball like you OP.

But profits can vary, I've been playing for a little over six months, and at first I was losing more, then there was a relative balance, and now I'm winning a little more. But if I look at the overall result over all this time, at best I've been able to increase my deposit by 7%, and I have a small deposit because I don't want to play for big money until I figure out how to increase it. So I treat betting like a game. I like winning, but I don't make a profit, so I just play because I enjoy it and it doesn't bring losses.

All gambling are similar in Risk, because none of them we can see the surest gambling that can give you a profit, for me I strictly Gamble with a soccer that is one I'm sure of when I predict sometimes I got it correct and sometimes I lose but I cannot compare what I have lost so far in soccer gambling and what I have benefited the margin of the Lost is higher than the benefit that I have achieved so that is why I said there is no part of gamble and that give a good return or is all about risk

All sports are good for betting, but it is better you stick with the one you are already used to, if I want to switch to other sport it must be because I like it, and before I start to bet money on the sport I would have getting used to the sport already.

Like if you are not into boxing before and you start watching maybe few days ago it is a bad idea to start placing bet on the sport, because it is obvious that you are in rush for the money, you will get burned quicker.

If I were you I will never go for another sport unless I really derive excitement from the new sport.

If a sport is profitable, betting site will see themselves losing and they will stop it. But I have not heard that a betting site stopped a sport before because it is not or no more profitable. They always make money from gamblers as they are gambling. No sport is profitable than others. As a gambler can win so as the gambler can lose but the chance the gambler will lose is far higher because of house edge and how odds are set by the gambling sites.

That is where people go wrong, they always want more, and that might be the beginning of their regrets. Gambling is not an exception to this, contentment is key. Even before I read your post, I wanted to say that every sport has the same or almost the same winning tendencies/possibilities, it all depends on the person in question and how familiar the person is with the sports. Since basketball is your focus, I advice you to stick to it, of course, unless you are not making money in it. If you do, money is what we gamble for most times, so you can't make more than money elsewhere. Unless you want to explore the other sports for adventure.

You are right, I also believe that knowledge about a particular sports is what gives the bettor and edge of being able to be profitable in that particular sports betting, and you also stated a fact that being profitable is never guarantee in sports betting even with the depth of knowledge a bettor might have about that sport. Sports betting can be skilled based but also luck is involved which determines the level of profitability.

To be candid, lot of long-time bettors will advise it is wise to stick with the sport you have a better knowledge on. When you follow the NBA well and have understand the players, the form, and the matchups, you maybe lucky to make really sharp picks on it instead of jumping into sport you haven't tracked.
Haven said that, some are good in sports of lower-profile such as tennis and smaller soccer leagues, as the odds are less sharp, which only works when you invest enough time to grasp the know how. Involving in every sports not having knowledge about them may definitely raise the chances of looses.
The best profitable sport to bet is the one have deep knowledge on.

But these are fundamentally different questions. What's the most profitable to bet on is a simple question. It's about what has high odds and is undervalued in terms of winnings. But what sport should you bet on to make a profit over the long term? The answer is very vague. I like betting on tennis because there are no draws and the relatively simple (at first glance) analysis. Of course, tennis is just as complex as football if you're aiming for long-term profit. But I don't have any long-term profits from gambling (and most bettors don't either), so the question seems a bit contradictory to me.
