+1 It means less miner dumping - less supply. Should work in favor of raising this coin to its proper place.

As we review the code, we would like to ask the community if there are any features that should be added to Saturncoin. 1. Proposed changes of limiting max money supply to something closer to 10 billion. 2. Add in ssl fixes.
Others?

I think that the change of the total number of coins with up to 10 billion is a very bad idea. This change will undermine the trust of the community to Saturn.

That is why we ask the community before we make any important changes, please decide and suggest what changes would you like to see in the new updated wallet, the community will decide.

If we are doing a hardfork soon, I'd say get it all done at once so no other changes are necessary in the future. Lowering the coin cap to 10 billion from 15 billion as it is now will only help the coin - having billions and billions doesn't do much to help a coin. 10 billion or lower is a good number for a crypto currency in terms of mainstream adoption.
A hard fork is not only necessary - it's inevitable once in a coin's life to enable greater integration and adoption. Might as well get everything done in one go.
I suggest brainstorming for additional technical changes and updates, so that we can get it all done at once.
Discuss.

Have to consider what the reward for mining will be once max coins are issued. This might lower the security of the network significantly. If we limit to 10 billion, adding a .01% inflation might be an option.
From a technical advantage side of the house, I can't think of any innovations that would advance us beyond the others. Updating to POS since it is the flavor of the week will have significant issues. Dif adjustment seems to be doing well enough, we have plenty of SAT on the market to allow for use as a currency.
Coin speed seems fine.

POS doesn't just seem to be 'flavor of the week'. It has definitive advantages. I agree to a one good hard fork for any other changes necessary.

If the issues can be overcome, POS seems to be the best way to go honestly. Plus, limiting the coin's total amount would limit supply and thus boost its price I think. Actually, making this coin entirely inflationary by making it POS with 2% annual interest isn't necessarily a bad call either. POS should definitely be the future of crypto currency I think.

Hello, I think the change in total coins would not be good for the currency, after the entry into Cryptsy that we mistakenly placed 50,000,000,000 coins and what that is costing people know that they are 15,000,000,000, tell them you are now 10,000,000,000, does not seem right. Wonder currencies could reduce the cap by mining 10,000,000,000 and from there the following 5,000,000,000 that were using the POS? That would leave the lid on the 15,000,000,000 coins and original step would apply a POS (which seems it is well accepted in the market)
Ah! Change the logo once!!!

Ah! Change the logo once!!!
What he means is: Cryptsy made a mistake in coin description saying there are 50 billion coin cap, when there's actually 15 billion coin limit.
