I’ve noticed something in my own experience. When I gamble with a small amount, it sometimes feels boring,  like I’m just clicking buttons and wasting time, even if I win. There’s no real thrill.

But when I place a bet big enough that it makes me feel something, that’s when the excitement kicks in. Win or lose, the adrenaline makes it entertaining. Of course, I still try to bet within my limits, but I can’t deny that the size of the bet changes how I enjoy the game.

I still enjoy bet with small stakes, because personally, what makes me excited or kicks my adrenaline is not the amount but the risk of the bet. I usually do place small amount with a really high odds usually around x10 and above and it's a combination of different bets/parlay and usually it's all live matches which adds more intense to the bet since I will check them each from time to time. Placing big amount doesn't actually excites me and it's actually the opposite, I'm too afraid to even look the match and can't even have fun, which is the opposite of why I play in the first place (to have fun).

So to answer your question, it depends on the player. I personally have fun playing small stakes rather than placing a big amount.

That makes sense, a parlay right? I would’ve enjoyed the same, but I can’t really do that on a regular basis since we all know parlays have very little chance of winning. eventually it’ll just result in us wasting money, and betting won’t even feel challenging anymore.

My owe case is different because don't enjoy stake heavily like you do, rather I enjoy staking little by little amounts across different games. I can't pick one game and stake all the money I want to use to gamble for the week on that one game, and even if I have one particular game that I want to stake heavily on, I still  can't stake all the money I have set outside for my gambling for the week, I always have back up games in case my game doesn't play as predicted. And the major reason why I don't like staking heavily on one particular game is because I don't like using the cash out option,  so if I stake heavily on one particular game it will make me use the cash out option.

I get what you mean. When the stakes are small, it can feel mechanical and not very exciting, even if you win. Bigger bets definitely add adrenaline and make the game more engaging. I think the key is finding a balance enough risk to feel the thrill, but still within your limits.

No, what I do is make sure that the size of the bet is not large enough to cause me excitement, because then there is a danger of getting carried away by emotions, and emotions and betting do not mix well.

The exception would be lottery-like games, where the size of the bet is small but the result, a big win, can give you excitement, as if you hit a big multiplier on slots.

I think it doesn't change anything, at least in my personal experience. Even if the bet is small, I still feel excited, like playing slot games. Even if you bet minimum only, you are still looking for that big multiplier or a bonus round that will give you a huge win. So same when you stake big enough money in let's say a black jack or baccarat. You don't know the outcome until you flip that card and see if you win or lose. So there's not much of a difference, only in the mindset I guess that we become so excited on betting like $5.00 to $500.00 in one sitting.

If I stake with a big amount that I'm comfortable to lose, I feel excited because potential win is going to be big too but I also feel sad when I lose the bet, that's because the money was big and I expected to win the bet. If I stake with small amount that am comfortable with, I don't feel like am joking since it's not a big amount but I feel more easy knowing that even if the game cut, the amount is not big.

This is correct for me and for the majority I assume because gambling is all about risking and winning with that risk involved.

If you are betting an amount that is too small only means you are earning too small also that’s why you can’t enjoy it most of the time.

It depends. Sometimes I do enjoy small stakes but on a high risk bet like high odds that will give me a huge win out of small bet with just a solid hit.

Best example is playing slot games with 0.1$, it’s small amount but you can win 1000$ or more if you will hit x10,000 and above multiplier.

It’s all about the size of the potential outcome.

The highest money on my gambling account is not much. It is around $10 every week or in two weeks. I may not gamble until I have the $10. When I have it and I use it to gamble, I divided it into $2 each, but most time I just gamble the whole $10 at once. This is how I am gambling.

It is not fun for me to gamble with less than $2 but also hard for me to gamble with more than $10.

I think what is making you to feel this way is because you have attached it purely on earnings, like you are solely depending on winning instead of the pleasure you are gaining from gambling. However, for me I don’t feels anything be it small amounts or huge amounts, what I looked after is the enjoyable moments i am deriving from it while gambling. But the most important thing should be that one is gambling with the amount they can afford to lose instead of gambling with an amount extremely higher for them and when lose they regret gambling with such amounts.

Sadly, I can relate to your experience.
I am one of those people who only feel the excitement for gambling when there is a big enough stake for me to make it excited enough so I can feel the thrill of the money which I actually don't own yet. It can be a problem, specially since I am a person with a limited budget to gamble away.
I have found myself getting out of my own budget for the sake of greed and thril, and always ends up badly for me, obviously, I always end up losing more money than I initially planned to.

It is one of the reasons I have decided to become a casual gambler instead of stepping further and become a dedicated one, and gamble everyday.

That's generally how it works, but there are exceptions. For example, when I place a small bet with huge odds. It's usually a multiple bet, so the process of determining whether I win or lose is quite lengthy, and the possibility of winning a large sum is nerve-wracking. And vice versa, if I bet a large amount but on small odds, then it doesn’t bother me at all (except for those cases when I suddenly lose haha).

Despite the fact that I'm a very responsible gambler and bettor, my excitement in gambling does not depend on the bet size but on the outcome. If I place a $100 bet and I win $10, it doesn't excite me but if I bet $1 and win $100, then it excites me a lot. The most exciting moment in my betting life was when I placed a 0.10 cent and won 150 USD. That day I wanted to bet more, 5 dollar at least but the terminal didn't read the coin and it basically got wasted, so deposited money didn't arrive on my balance and I placed a bet with what was left on my account. That win made me very depressed and excited at the same time.

Gambling is always fun... but when the stakes are higher, it can be way more interesting. I think it's something common for the majority of players. And it's logical for all of us who are playing & competing, we all love to make some progress, and in gambling, that progress is higher bets.

I still enjoy playing with small stakes. Many times, it's perfectly fine to relax and play some games purely for fun & enjoyment... in those moments, even some small wins are like a cherry on the cake.

My excitement in gambling doesn't depend on bet size, I'm this set of gamblers that doesn't risk much I have a fixed amount when gambling and I still enjoy it while staking with that amount I don't mind if my win is small or not because I'm not this greedy type. Staking what I can't afford to lose is what I have been avoiding all this while, because I could imagine the feeling when the outcome didn't work as planned. Though there's a very big advantage of staking high but we also need to consider the disadvantages, because you don't know how long it will take before you can experience win and we know that wining is not guarantee in gamble.

I enjoy gambling when I bet with small amounts of money because my mind will be at rest and I wouldn't be worried about the outcome of the game because it's a small out. Another reason is that small amounts of money allows me to play more games and enjoy the fun to the fullest than using big amount of money that will limit me to more fun.

I understand what you mean OP, there's a different feelings when you use a big amount of money to stake your bet compared to when you use a little amount to bet. However, we have different ways how to enjoy gambling.

1. Small or big amount, I'm always excited. I think the more important part there is if my bet is going to win together with the team that I am betting.
2. It's still enjoyable with the small bets. IMHO, it's even more enjoyable there and you've got a lighter feeling because it's only small. But even so, you're thrilled and wanting to win that so, the same treatment for me with small or big bets.
