I share the same thought process with you on this one. If marriage were to be done only for the sake of having a companion then any other person can be made your companion such as friends, family members or even your parents or siblings depending on how very close you are to them but I think the main purpose of marriage is to procreate and work hand in hand with your partner to develop the growth of the child and children in the case of having more than one and it is the main purpose of marriage. In the development process of the child, it is not the duty of one person alone as the worm may become much for the person, jiggling with other responsibilities of life so what the father cannot do alone, with the combined effort of both the husband and the wife they are able to train the child to become a better version of what they want and it is necessary for the betterment of the society.

That is completely correct,  the perspective you see marriage maybe different from the way I see it but the centre of attraction is almost the same which i believe is for reproduction and companionship.  To me I think this two open reasons are the main reasons one may think of getting married but among all I should be open to say it is mostly for child bearing. I believe children is the joy of every marriage,  not that a union without children may not stand but such union cannot be compared to the one with children.

Yes, the first aim of marriage is to bear kids and also raise them to mature, but it doesn't stop there love, caring, understanding, trust etc are also included, because without them even to bear the kids will be of difficult task, because they will not have time for that mutual connection that will made them come together as one to bear children.

Marriage is a long life time, is not what should be taken for granted, it should be something of high priority. Marriage has so many purposes it all depends on how the two couples wants it to be, but bearing a child is paramount because with time the children, they also have a role to play in the life of their parents when they grow up and also the society will need them too in future time.

At times I ask myself if child bearing is the primary aim of marriage.  if it is, then what will happen to those marriage without children but I still can not find the answers till date.
From my own point of view i see marriage as a union between two mature people for companionship, every other things attached and also for reproduction if one is favour by God. Children are blessings from god and is not supposed to be The reason behind failed marriages if not favoured by god  but some believe every marriage must have fruit of the womb which is not supposed to be so.

Marriage is a sweet thing when one marries the right person, there are some people that are married today for the sake of production, as some homes are not living in peace because their wife failed to reproduce.
