Hi I'm a newbie when it comes to card games especially poker. I just want to know what are your tactics on playing poker also best way to win this game? Am not winning the game so I need advice specially players who are already expert on this. Advance Thanks for your help

I think I like it when the professionals always says "always take the positioning". It's always crucial to position yourself when it comes to poker because if you position yourself and someone folds or call you know who has those playable, high or good hands in them. Well, not an expert but this is merely from observation and learnings I get when I played this game. You'll get it, it takes time so just bear with it at the moment, it's a slow progress.

1.Try to find a table with newbie players. As far as I can remember it was possible to find lots of rookie players on GG Poker.
2.Try to distinguish bluffers from the tight players. If you manager to find tight players(the ones, who play it safe and wait for a strong hand) just bluff them. If you manager to find more bluffers, just wait until you have a strong hand and try to trap them by slowly increasing your bets(not going all in early).
3.If you feel that you are tilting just leave the table. Don't chase loses and if your bluff gets caught more than three times, then it's time to leave the table.
4.Why don't you take a look at the internet and find free poker courses and tutorials. I'm sure that you will find plenty of info.

Your advice isn't bad. What I would say to the OP is that they're starting off on the wrong foot if they're thinking about a strategy. To play poker and be a winner, you have to master several aspects. First, you have to learn a starting hand chart, then familiarize yourself with the odds, learn about bankroll management and psychology, among other things. There is no single strategy. At a table full of fish, it's best to be tight-aggressive, but if there aren't that many fish, you have to learn to balance your ranges. I agree that learning poker to make money would entail considerable efforts and time investment in training one analytical skills in understanding the game by studying and observing the game and fulfils no perfect instant. Naturally, beginners will find it hard to learn the art of poker, due to the fact of the intricacy in position, chance, and player reading, and patience is a precious asset here.

You are right too about convincing yourself that you are expected to learn to become a poker expert in a short period, that is in itself a wastage of time. The strategy in poker is simple, I only play Texas hold em so I think that patience is the key to a successful session of poker. By patience I mean to not get carried away and play when you have 2,3 as cards although sometimes they may win, the idea is to only play hands that you have good cards like Q,A or K,A or A,A and these give you some what of an edge. Now even if you have those and someone goes all in, don't go all in, wait for a hand when you have such cards and people are playing normally, in the end of the hand you decide what to do, if you still have an upper edge, a big one go all in, also during the hand if you see cards are aligning to what cards you have raise a little, don't let people know that you have very good cards until the end. To apply this type of strategy you need a whole big level of patience, if you don't have patience don't even bother trying to win in poker.

@OP, I'm not much of a poker fan but I can tell you that there is nothing that beats the ability for you to gradually improve your skill on the game, if you are thinking of getting a ground braking strategy from anyone that will help you win in poker, you will be more on the losing side because there's no guaranteed strategy for gambling but if you give yourself time to learn and understand how the game works, you can develop a great skill on your own that will help you win more on the game, not when you rely on getting strategy from someone.
