I will advice everyone to be security conscious although those messages has little time frame before it expires, but it will be better everything is been cleared after transaction to be on the safer side either from law enforcement or scammers , because if those transactions history are left unclear it can endanger the individual lives or attract problems to them , so to me it’s better one clear every transaction.

Some of our users has posted a lot of privacy and security related post . Especially the ones related to technical security and stuff .
But I create this post for something simple , most of us here in this space we always do different transactions every day (cryptocurrency transactions), and our email always send us authentication code during and others securely messages .
I have noticed that most folk don’t delete these messages afterwards, which isn’t safe to me , someone can easily come across in your device and it may endup endangering your live. If someone gains access to your device and sees those messages, it could put your security and even your life at risk. So better to play it safe by deleting those emails, whenever you are done with the code , sometime something this simple can save lives .
There is no way on earth a previously used security code can be reused for another session, whether you delete it or not, it has expired, it's just like 2fA (2 factor authentication) if a reputable CEX's can be easily breached like that, the would've been sued already for having a lax security system, It is called 2FA for a reason, and that is to add a second layer of security to your account, they usually do that so that if maybe your account is compromised, it can't be easily logged in or accessed unless they have access to your email, and if they have access to your email, there is no amount of deletion that will save your account cause they can even change your password and do whatsoever they want. We are in a jet world where there are lots of eventions out there with aim of hacking into peoples device I have also seen some people screen shoot there phrase and password as mean of securing it on there phones for easy access which could be very easy to captured puting the owner of such account into high risk. Downloaded links or files could also endanger anyone security if the link are to harmfull to document in the phones.

Yeah, you’re right, but then most of these transactions app that sent that send authentication code to your email, has a time duration of 30 sec or thereabout, but leaving your message notification open is it a good idea, like you said, you might be a target after someone has come across such infos, you never know. On my own end, I lock both my transaction notifications and other messages as well just to be on the safer side, because almost all the time I’ve understand the severity f someone trying to liquidate all you have losses.

I have never deleted any of those authentication messages in my emails before, the thought has never crossed my mind because I feel those codes can only be used once and cannot be usable again. To enhance the security of such messages, it has been given a time lint that it can expire because of intriguing of any circumstance into your store back where the emails resides in. Crypto security has been enhanced beyond what we may imagine, so we should not feel so relaxed and not convinced to not trust the process of it. The brain behind it has even made provision for stronger security which makes it even more commendable in the long use of it.

A very valid topic to talk about. Most people don't realize how important your privacy is. Someone asked for my phone the other day and I told him that I wouldn't give him my phone because it has some files that I wouldn't want other eyes to see, immediately he saw it like I was bragging or acting too big. Most especially when you are in public, please do not even open your Bitcoin app randomly, do not connect to random network or WiFi. In fact have two devices, use one for outdoors and the other for indoors, the one for outdoors shouldn't have your important files in it. We hear about kidnapping everyday and robbery, privacy isn't about password, it's about protecting yourself, your files and your data from unauthorized access.

At some point, if you know that you carry out frequent transaction and might not be careful enough to delete messages every now and then, it is even better to buy a smaller and not so expensive phone that is mainly used for such transaction, keep it at home and use it for most of your transaction. it might appear too petty and unnecessary but it helps saves you from unnecessary fear and attempt to being too careful.
The main danger is not even that we can be hacked through the passwords because it is usually one time password that expires too soon. the threat is that the days are evil and once someone sees that you are holding a set amount of coin or trading a set amount of coin, it is very possible that they might plan an attack on you.
Privacy consciousness goes hand in hand with security consciousness because a bridge of one can lead to a potential bridge of another.

Weldon bro, this tip dy really helpful for security purposes, because no be everybody know say something like this fit put their security at risk, because ignorance na one thing wey dy really blind most of us here for this space. Honestly speaking, i be one of those people wey no dy delete my messages for my email anyhow, but as you don talk this thing, I go look into it and delete the ones that needs to be deleted, because security na one tin wey if we over look fit cost us something very important financially, so Weldon bro on this update.

I don't understand how dangerous this actually is because most of the time my phone remains locked if a message comes that message will not show on the screen. And if someone can take my device while it is unlocked they will never be able to withdraw from exchange because I have a 2FA lock on the exchange and that authenticator app is kept in the privacy mode of my phone which no one other than me can access.
Speaking of the wallet there is also a lock there that no one other than me can access so considering everything even if someone takes my phone while it is unlocked there is not much possibility of me suffering a major loss.

I suppose you must have access to a lot of users email and exchanger informations or devices to note that. Don’t mind me, just kidding you.Don’t mind me, you are obviously right about these things. These are some silent vulnerabilities that we allow to seat around because, we don’t find in it any risk for reasons not limited to; 1. The fact that you can’t use it in getting access to our exchanges after a defined period of time, if at all. (thats in the case of login by links). 2. The mails are just there to notify you of actions taken or to be taken with regards to initiated, on going and completed trade. 3. You got notified on an update or what’s new. These mails are in itself harmless but in this space, the first step to security is privacy. Stay private, delete these mails and leave no clue for anyone to come across by accident or coincidence, what might make them view you in another light that you would rather wish to avoid.

There's absolutely no reason to start giving people your phone if you have exchanges and wallet on your mobile device. If you're a type that cannot do without giving out your phone to someone then get a spare phone free of anything related to crypto that can compromise you. You won't hide norma phone l notifications if they are important to you just as no one mentioned it so that's basically your best option. adding a fingerprint and face verification to all your apps also helps (this won't safe you from wrenh attack anyway). The point is , there's no way your device won't leave a trail , why give anyone ?
