We all know that some pools now take fees under 1 sat per byte.

So I have being slowly doing sends to show this works.

my goal is to provide proof that low tx do work and that the universal acceptence of low fees under a sat a byte may be aided with the info provided here.

This is exactly what I was about to ask, that wouldn’t it be nice if OP actually adds the sever he is connected and possibly the wallet so that most that will like to try this out can actually switch to such server, I got that of LoyceV for electrum wallet but will want to see maybe your own server since there is still most of this public wallet that do not have this yet. If it is your personal server then wouldn’t it be better to drop it so others can access and relay lower fees too

Good thread, it’s high time one starts using lower fees although some wallets still do not allow connecting to this servers yet

For Trezor Suite, I think it is done automatically, no need to connect to any special server. You can get more information on the link that I posted above.

Use the ones that can do it.

Electrum, Bluewallet, Sparrow and Trezor Suite can all do it. Also all hardware wallets that you can connect to Electrum or Sparrow will do it when connected to the wallet.

note I checked advance and use 0.6 sats

so the size was 223 bytes and x 0.6 = 114 sats

send is on its way

Try 0.3 sat/vbyte now, it will get confirmed. The fee rate may start to increase tomorrow which will be in some hours time. I have used 0.3 sat/vbyte several times.

Can I contribute?

Not Trezor, but my last tx with electrum was confirmed with 0.30 sat/vByte (0.00000156 BTC for 7 inputs and 1 output). Had to run a few extra commands, though...

With how the mempool has been for weeks, 0.1 sat/vbyte can not get confirmed. Likely it will later be dropped.

But  0.24 seems good

or 0.33 which is a real savings.

I do not do a lot of sends of btc so it is a far less issue for me.

But many send a lot and it can be a problem as 1.0 is 3x that of 0.33 and 4x of 0.24

If only the majority of mining pools accept sub 1sat/vB transactions, the result would've been different.
Most of them would rather mine non-full blocks when there's not enough 1sat/vB+ transactions than accept those with lower fee rates.

well 03.44 is very good at the moment .  So fees went up a lot from

0.21 which worked in under an hour for me.
