^  Yeah that's what the L1 was valued at after the last seed round.  But if that translates post TGE and the circulating supply is 10.8 billion tokens then the market cap is just around 250m USD?  That's pretty cheap imho.  That would be good for the ICO participants and the airdrop recipients as that means there's a lot of room for MON to grow.

But yeah, I guess we'll just have to find out on Nov 24.  That's next week!  Can't wait to see how much my airdrop is worth.  Do I got a 5 fig one or peanuts...

The monad is a greedy bastard. They will be conducting the public sale, which is looking to raise at least 170m++ usd. This is obvious the team is seeking liquidity to exit.

Not satisfied with the initial funding they are now doing a public sale --- I don't know Monad is doing this maybe they need funds to develop.

Kinda weird Monad team received like more than 225m by VCs, and it took so many years just to deliver a blockchain that may give them only three digits revenue in the future. I can only guess they used this as exit liquidity.

Beside that it seems participating in the sale is just involving bigger risk since the price in the pre future market is steadily moving down, which is not good.

I won't be surprised sale participants will be in the race with airdrop participants to sell their MON.

The Monad devs made their own implementation of the EVM from scratch and they're trying to optimize everything for speed while still trying to keep the network to scale.

The pre-market price is usually not a benchmark when listing later, but when the market is crashing, any coin will have an impact.

Being a scam is impossible, but the sense of trust from the community is what may be in doubt.

Monad TGE and airdrop is finally happening tomorrow guys!  If the price stays at the current prelaunch price of 0.03 USD, I'd get a decent amount worth of MON tokens.  But then again, that also means MON market cap would just be around 300m USD which is very low for what it is imho.  At that price, I'll actually buy and add more to my holdings. 

It could be bought up to 1b USD market cap me thinks.  That's around .10 USD per MON which could give me a very good airdrop.

^  What's actually good about the market opening slightly must above ICO price is it doesn't open with ICO buyers at a loss and it also doesn't feel encouraging for them to dump.  And at the same time, buyers of MON from the exchanges at market open could still buy it somewhat cheap and near the ICO price. 

So instead of the price opening high and it goes down only, MON's price opening low actually encourages market buyers and it's currently making the price trend up.  Check out the chart.  It's looking good.

It could reach .10 USD in a couple of weeks...  Not bad.

I followed it after it was listed but didn't participate in the airdrop. The listing price only held for a short time, then dropped due to dumping by airdrop participants. But it didn't last long, and a slow reversal occurred, reaching $0.04799. It seems like they're back in profit-taking mode.

Furthermore, some participants who successfully acquired large amounts of MON tokens were in a rush to withdraw their coins, chasing a good price during the high-traffic listing period, but they repeatedly failed, depleting their assets. These failed transfers were purely due to network congestion or Monad itself taunting them. But I felt sorry for them. They were tired of failing to send their tokens.

^  Failed transfers and congestion?  I lurk their Discord and no, I've never seen or heard anybody complaining about a congestion.  And I'm using the chain rn.  It's prolly one of the fastest chains I've used and it has been a smooth experience tbh.  Not saying it because I got the airdrop, I actually sold most of it and am just leaving some to goof around the network and try stuff.

The dapp eco they have looks like they've been made by amateurs and unknown devs imho.  So if you guys are into Monad trying different things then use a burner wallet.

It seems to be doing well, and on social media platforms like Twitter, the coin is still getting attention. Positive arguments and feedback are still influencing people to come and buy Monad. The current price is still at $0.03737, and it looks like it's going to go up again. The dump was done to clear the way, and I think Monad will resume its rapid rally soon.

The new unlock progress is 10.83% and the remaining locked 88.17% still has a big chance, and Monad has a lot of fundraising, starting from Coinbase Ventures, Paradigm Drfgonfly to Saquon Braklay. In fact, everything has been completed since February 2025, Monad on Testnet ended on November 25, 2025, and was listed on Bitget. Well, it's time for them to hurry.

The whole Monad eco isn't really looking good for the time being.  Most of the projects building there look like they have noobs, amateur devs behind them.  And I wouldn't be surprised if some of them are just there for a quick buck after TGE...  But it doesn't look like people are biting tho.  What could happen is they'll prolly just fade to obscurity before the more established devs get in to Monad.  But we'll see tho.

And as for the FUD.  The ICO did look like some kind of scheme to fleece the community for money to pay themselves since locked tokens can't be staked.  If the ICO was really a way to let the community invest in the project for cheap then they should've priced the ICO at way less that .025 per MON.  They should've priced it at .005 per MON to let the community buy into it at 500m FDV.

The Monad ecosystem is not that interesting, I explored it in the last month and it looks ordinary, I also think the same thing that they are just looking for their own profit there, moreover their community is hurt because their Airdrop system is a mess, a lot of people who have spent a lot of money and made a lot of effort to contribute to their network are not eligible to get $MON tokens at the release, plus the ICO case makes this wound even deeper.

An altcoin project, especially layer 1, must have a strong and active community for the backbone of their network and their ecosystem, if the community leaves then the network will die, they will have no hope for a longer life in the future, trust is the main thing so that people want to enter the network.
I had expected it before when I heard about this project from my friend, around 2024, at that time the monad team participated in an event at Coinfest Asia, and you know what they did? yes the funding money to build a community was prioritized to make a party, which in my opinion was a stupid decision.

Aaanyway, I've been looking at one project in Monad eco that could be interesting.  I started getting into it last year.  The project is called Curvance.  I deposited some stables into it and try to get eligibility from their airdrop.  And the good thing about it is, I could borrow some MON against my stables and sell the MON which essentially is like a short position on the market.  

I'm already seeing some guys on Twitter saying that MON will be the next W.  A trend down to zero.  Lol.

I guess it's best to stay away from this until the unlocks are over.  Be mindful of the unlock schedule guys...  I guess that would be the purpose of this thread.    To warn noobs to stay away and wait what the unlocks will look like for the price of the token.  Lolol.

Interesting timing. If the airdrop amount becomes visible on Oct 28, that could create a short-term volatility spike regardless of the actual claim date.

What I find more interesting is how MON behaves post-airdrop. Historically, airdrop tokens either dump hard on unlock or consolidate before structural repricing depending on liquidity depth and narrative strength.

Aside from the not so innovative tech and the already settled contenders

1. late bull market = exhausted liquidity
2. VC's sell when liquidity comes
3. Bullhype works contrary for new L1's
4. Market pumps on mainnet-announcement --> sell the news

 Better buy in 3 to 6 months after launch and btw then it's bear market. Price will be way below ico.

MON is slowly starting to look decent here imho.  I mean if BTC doesn't go down by a lot I think MON could relatively perform better than the rest of the alts this time.  Prolly even better than HYPE, which is not looking so good after the run up from 20 to 35 - 38.

But be wary of the 0.025 range for MON as there could be those frustrated ICO buyers who couldn't wait to just get their money back.  Lolol.

^  Looking at MON right now...  Looks like the guys who got a little hopeful that it will start going up above the public ICO price lost hope.    They started selling it down taking what they could get while the price was at a decent range.  Guys who bought at the local bottom got a little profit while some of the guys who got in the ICO got out at break even or just a little loss.

And talking about their ecosystem, be sure you haven't connected any wallets holding huge amounts of coins and stables.  And if you did, move your coins to a new wallet.  You just never know...
