Development of a country depends truly on the government and private investors,  but I think it's more on the government than the private investors. It's the duty of the government to provide jobs for its citizens, so they should be able to create more job. The government have to also create a good environment to attract private investors to help build industries and create jobs for citizens.  It's true that industrialization helps develop every society, and it's also a fact that the government cannot provide all this industries alone and they need private investors to help too, so the government have to put the right policy in place to attract this investors and the society have to be free from insecurity issues, because no one will like to invest in a place where there is crisis.

Key factors that propagates development is peace and harmony, a country without conflicts attracts development so much. No country will want to partner or invest in a country that is not peaceful, war discourages investors that would have developed  that region. The government who are the leaders has key roles to play before development can manifest, what are this developments we are talking about?, these developments are factories, good school, roads and other social amenities.

You are completely correct when you say that peace and harmony are the key to greater levels of development. If a nation is stable and not in a constant state of war, it is liable to have greater appeal for investors and other growth-oriented partners. No serious investor will want to invest in an unstable situation where there is the possibility of insecurity or violence. The destruction caused by war is not just limited to existing structures, it also destroys any potential for creating new business opportunities. This keeps government leaders pivotal in the sense that by providing stability, protecting the population, and providing a properly functioning governance system, leaders will provide an environment for businesses to flourish. Development is not an abstract term, but rather refers to the establishment of businesses/industries that produce jobs, as well as the development of schools, roads, hospitals, and all other forms of services that allow for greater quality of life.

When the economy is diversify to other sectors, creating employment opportunities for the Youths and investing in agriculture and giving out loans to farmers to engage in agriculture, this also propagates development because wealth flows from sales of farm produce and that makes prices of goods to reduce In the market, development strive in a crime free environment because investors won't be scared of their safety.

The economic diversification is the most important part of sustainable development, especially when it focuses on the sectors that directly affect people's day-to-day lives. By investing in agriculture, we will increase the ability of farmers to produce more food, to create a secure source of food for the community, and to develop local production opportunities. In addition, when farmers have access to loans, they will be able to produce more, make more money, and provide a steady supply of food to the marketplace. This steady supply of food to the marketplace will help to lower the price of food and, by extension, relieve the pressure on many households that are struggling to make ends meet. Another benefit of developing in a crime-free environment is that this allows for a faster growth rate of development because investors feel safe to invest and grow their businesses and contribute to long-term development.

Before security the number thing is leadership, with effective and responsible leadership all other things will be put in place, it's because of poor leadership we're have insecurities and others things that affected development in Nigeria. This country is blessed with fertile land and friendly weather but poor leadership happens to us. The people in government has been  very bad in discharging their responsibility for this nation. Untill have a good people in government nothing will change, the insecurity will keep increasing, poverty will keep raising and inflation will keep flowing up.  

With a good leadership, they will be able to provide solution to tackle the insecurity in the North and other part of the country, they will seek for intervention from western countries and survive their operations in other to avoid casualties. They will provide the electricity in the country because without electricity the economy won't strive. They will build good roads for transportation of goods and services within the country, they will build a standard rail station linking states, with these Nigeria will be considered the giant of Africa once again.

Thank god you mentioned leadership, the Nigerian leadership structure or sector has failed which is the reasons behind all kind of challenges affecting the development of the country. How can country experience rapid development when all there leaders are only interested in self enrichment and never the interest of the citizens. Our security sector has crashed all because they uesed it as a strategic point of gaining power during the 2015 election without knowing it will be difficult to control after giving it a chance to destroy the economic system of the country

I want to disagree with you on the direction you are looking at the private sectors, private sectors came to make more money, so if there should not have profit then what is their main purpose, even some of the foundations we see today they have their own purpose of coming. Yes its supposed to start from our government but our government has failed us and will continue failing us if leadership do not move from the same circle it has been since Nigeria became an independent country. Tracing back to division of power and fund management in Nigeria,  since the military regime of Nigeria the same corrupt and wicked leaders have been the once in power sharing it between themselves and making things difficult for citizens of the country. So to attract development in Nigeria now, there must be changes in power circle so leaders with vision can take over the country to effect positive changes

All this points you list out nah correct ones but for me the most important nah the issue of security. Once the country balance and the mata of insecurity dey handled, surely business and investors go dey troop like where ant see sugar because e no be about for the government to only touch the area of industrialization and then the rest areas go dey suffer since each of them dey work hand in hand.

Insecurity is one of the major hindrance to development and if the problem of insecurity can be solved, development will surely come because a secured environment brings investors, foreigners and business men. I could remember a time when there was great insecurity at my place, and a company wanted to build a plant that would have provided huge number of jobs for the people of my place but the project was diverted to another community and we missed out on that opportunity, so imagine how that development would have helped people from my community if that plant was built there.

Recently, i also held about the alarming rate of kidnapping of passengers who are traveling by road which has gripped fears among travelers such that many people are even having the fear of traveling to their villages this December and we know that the month brings some kind of good tidings since most people who have not visited their parents or their loved ones since the year stated would have loved to visit them in December which probably might trigger some kind of development by some individuals but due to insecurity could make them to cancel their plans, so insecurity is really one of the biggest threats development which we are facing as a country.

Yes insecurity is the cause of under development, even you and I if they ask or give us a work to do on the place that is having this problem of security or having a tribal fight, there is no way we would agree to accept the job knowing fully well that is a life risking job, so actually that's how people whom were supposed to bring development are always made to go away so that they wouldn't have to be fighting for there life instead of the job they came to do. Corruption is also an instrument of non development because company doesn't come to the community themselves, they only use people that's meant to speak for the community so if the person is corrupt there wouldn't be development.

If Government have a good intention, everything you mentioned here will be a easy thing for them to do. If they care about the welfare of their citizens we won't have facing these kinds of problems ( problems like inflation, high prices, terrorism and insecurity) . Look at how the United States of America built their country without the support anyone, industrialization was their main power, look at where they are now. If Nigeria wants to become a first world country, they have the capacity to do it , if the leader are sensible. But no we have the most set of incompetent leaders in the world, sometimes I wonder what they do in their offices. They need to make education to reach the every corner of the country,  tackle any sort of insecurities, build good infrastructure ( I would like Nigeria to have more railway systems, because this will reduce the dependency on Road system and reduce price of good and services) , and many more. The corruption in Nigeria is beyond what we can comprehend.

Things that propagate development in a country is having a good leadership. Creation of employment for the citizens, providing good security. Good road, steady power supply. Eradicate corruption. Good judiciary system.good health care system.good food security system. Agricultural system should be encouraged.reduction of wages to politicians.

Above all, for a country or nation to be able to achieve some significant level of development, peace and Unity is paramount. Without peace in a nation, nothing is going to work, development doesn’t work in a nation where there is war or turmoil. That’s why security of the people of a nation should be the most important priority of any government in order to be able to have the full support of it’s citizens so as to be able to foster or accelerate the acceptance of developmental strides or initiatives by the government.
