The decision to intervene militarily against a country should be taken at a time when the government of that country fails to suppress terrorists. The Nigerian government responded to Trump's comments on Truth Social. It welcomed the move to take action against Islamist terrorists but Nigeria sovereignty should be respected.

I agree with you. If It wasn't for the clamour by our fellow Nigerians on this matter, there wouldn't be any need for external intervention by the United States military led by their President, Donald Trump. I believe that the intervention attempt by the United State is not a violation of our sovereign power. Although Nigeria is a Sovereign state, I believe however thay there are limitations to these sovereign powers, also, in a cases like this where the government of the country have failed to Carry out there administrative duties by protecting the lives of the citizens and stayed mute through out the entire process untill there was a cry out by the same people who need saving.

I think This growing issue with Nigeria is something that could have been tackled long time ago, lots of things have happened in Nigeria which normally are not supposed to be tolerated especially by its citizens. I think we let our leaders too much space to do whatever they want to do and get away with it. The country sees everything as a cruise and they never paid attention to little things until it gets worse. For long so many irregularities have been happening in Nigeria through our Government but we keep undermining them and we always pretend to be strong people.
