I just gotta deal with the fact that in the previous cycle many altcoins are being losing their value by much and never go up.

Same thing might happen in this cycle and with altcoin I only trade hype and high volume. I think there gonna be some rotation to the newer altcoins and the older fundamentally weak altcoin gonna turns into dust.
Honestly, I don't really see mid cap coins rise again, only very few of them do and thats because ZEC rally.

Recently, I've seen some few selected coins rising and making all time high, but as you already heard me saying, some few selected coins, this shows that we still anticipate for more bullrun the coming months for most of them to make their altcoins season and perform more better than we already had, there is more to discover about these coins, but we must be able to also afford taking their risk that may follows.

Its been a bad year for altcoins after a great end to 2024.

I did not expect this bad year but there has just been too much manipulation going on and the trump tariffs have caused a lot of uncertainty this year.

Now we have the Government shut down which many are now saying is the reason we are seeing altcoins bleed even more.

Hopefully the Government shutdown ends soon and with QT ending in 4 weeks that should also help give us a better feel in the market but until then all we can do is hold the altcoins we have and hope for a good end to the year like we had last year.

To be honest, it gives me the idea that there will be no more altcoin season that's going to happen because it's pretty likely that we've seen it already. And as for the short term hype, that's it and it's most likely done. So for most that have been up already and they're having a correction, that's normal.

What indicators or factors are you watching most closely when analyzing altcoins right now?

The entire top 100 itself is the first look that I'm seeing first. The main top altcoins like ETH, if this coin goes up then the other altcoins are going to also up. And from the top of these of course, no other than bitcoin that moves everything from the market left and right.

No more alts season to come. We're already in the bearish trend and it's just getting started. Don't forget to store some cash in your portfolios to buy the dip.

Cut rate is done, Halving is done, Trump gets elected is done, Crypto etf is done, and etc. There's no more big event to come.

Look at how many alts reaching new atl even when Bitcoin is still around 106k - 107k. Think about when it goes to the 99k. Crypto's big crash is gonna happen soon.

fairly, right now, the alt coin market feels like one big mixed bag. While there are a few coin waking up, the entire vibe is still cautionary. I do not think it is a clear full throttle alt season rather conceivably we are just in the preheating phase. You can notice that some midcaps are showing signs of volume and liquidity creeping up however there is not plenty of that signals theres new money pouring in. In my opinion, pretty much all you need to look at out for are BTC ascendancy, funding rates and onchain activity. after BTC cools down a bit and its superiority fall over  that is when altcoins typically journey parabolic. I would label it more a traders market than an investors market. so for longterm I am still bullish but not buying every shiny coin because it pumps tomorrow, lol

the altcoin market is kinda all over the place right now! some coins like Zcash and MNT are doing really well but many others are still stuck. i don’t think we are in a full alt season yet but there is definitely some movement in the market midcap coins are getting more trading volume which is a good sign still people seem unsure and things like interest rates and ETF investments are playing a big role i am keeping an eye on some AI, privacy coins and projects with real world use

Investing in 2025 is completely different. But that's not the expectation, and why should we be confused about which coins to buy in the current situation? There are many buy orders in this area, and perhaps this is the right time for us to start buying in stages. Never go all-in on your position; buy small amounts and average out as the price drops. With bearish momentum like the current one, many traders will be fearful and cautious about entering the market.

If you intend to invest in a new coin, it's perfectly legal and offers the potential for significant profits if you find a legitimate project, not a scam. We must conduct in-depth research on several projects and have a wide list to find the best ones. There's no difference between existing and new projects; all have the same potential for winning or losing.

We had better give an average consideration to any coin of our choice in this current market as everything seems to be falling as they ha e been before, not even to say now that we are close to the end of the year and things are rounding and folding up for next year, we ha e to be more extremely careful on altcoins.

Currently altcoins are indeed in a high crash period, especially seeing BTC which continues to fall, other altcoins will follow a much deeper downward direction, so I will not hold altcoins longer and some have been disposed of leaving only a few for airdrop purposes.
So now it will only maintain BTC with more accumulation that is better than altcoins.

Those saying not to hold altcoins right now.

Zcash has just done a 14x in 6 weeks while Bitcoin has gone down.

There is a lot more money to be made in altcoins compared to BTC , u just have to buy a few top ones and at least one of them will outperform BTC.

What is BTC going to do next few months maybe hit $150k if it’s lucky? Thats now only a 50% pump from current price, altcoins pump 50% in just a few days.

I agree with those that see no generalized altseason in the coming weeks. Centralized altcoins (most top-20's) will probably continue to go down, with the exception of perhaps BNB (because that shit is so centralized that they can manipulate the price at will) and with some luck Ethereum, and some or another lucky hot coin.

Decentralized altcoins (XMR, LTC etc.) seem to at least hold well against Bitcoin in the last days. Some are even rallying (XMR, Zcash).

I would not be surprised if XMR becomes one of the few altcoins hitting a new ATH in this cycle. It's currently trading at $450, and the old ATH is slightly over $500. And that's considering that last year it was at $100 when Binance delisted it. Of course that's because both XMR and other privacy coins are benefitting from Bitcoin's compromised fungibility due to the increased taint problem.

Are you still hoping to see altcoin season, I think that is impossible because 2024 was altseason but altcoins investors didn't notice because they were carried away by illusion that their prices will continue to pump like bitcoin price.

The market condition is worse than when you posted this post because majority of the coins including bitcoin is on a downtrend only few that are being pumped. Altcoins dies gradually overtime from my experience. Majority of them hardly recover.

It is because fragmentation of liquidity. We are talking multi billions tokens and there are tens of them. The money need to go somewhere and as it happens, the money can only pump few coin at a time thus the selective pump. Currently privacy coin is where it's at.

If you're already in and have invested, then keep on holding because the altcoins market season can come in anytime from next year, though there is no any proven indication to use in proving on this, but we must always prepare ourselves down for anything that could cause either of the ways in volatility, also, we must ensure that we are on the right coin, which we have invested.

QT is ending next week after 3 years and I've just read the last time the FED ended QT in 2019, the next few years were decent for altcoins.

I am not expecting a massive altseason next year, but expecting much better year compared to this year with QE coming and more rate cuts over the next 12 months.

The only big event would have been the US interest rate cut. But next month's decision is complicated. The Feds will have to decide without the current government inflation and jobs data. The government shutdown has prevented the Bureau of Labour Statistics not to publishing up-to-date data to publish this month. From all indications, we are heading towards a bear market. I don't think there will be any altcoin season up front. Those who invested in Bitcoin had a good season, but altcoins didn't perform as expected. Let's wait for the next bull run and see how things turn out.
