Share your favorite long-term coins and why

It may feel tough right now, but times like these can be good chances to prepare for the next move up. How are you dealing with this dip?

I do not have any coin except bitcoin, sol and few other but not in major quantity nowadays. Not because I trust SOL, but because I use it for certain things that I am involved with, not like I care, I can withdraw all of it and turn it into bitcoin today but I am keeping it because I do trust it. I think it's clear that we are going to end up with great returns one day or another but at the moment it looks like we have something that we can trust with bitcoin and sol so I am keeping it that way, will do better I am sure eventually.

Your list is not including old gems like doge or TRX because I had some of them but did not sync the wallets and not even able to check in explorers as I hold in multiple address. I stake TRX but have not opened the Trust wallet for months.

I am also like that, I am now starting to think about accumulating more BNB compared to Ethereum or Solana because I think the strong community of BNB allows this coin to continue to grow in the future, especially from what we saw some time ago when the movement of BNB was increasing, even in percentage terms it was higher than Ethereum or Solana, so I think the same thing will be possible in the future.

As for me BNB, ETH and maybe HYPE for long-term altcoin accumulation. I don't know why it's just that lately there is an interest in $HYPE even though of course the percentage will not be as big as investing in BNB and ETH. I see HYPE as a new competitor whose ecosystem and community are quite strong, they have grown massively since their release.

The only concern of holding HYPE is the fact that there are tons of perpetual decentralized exchange being created every month and there will be many competition for hyperliquid.
The competition went from around ~10 upon hyperliquid TGE to 25 and expected to be rising over the time as Venture Capital and Investing Firm can't stop themselves from dumping their money to new shiny perpetual decentralized exchanges.

As we often give, bitcoin is the main priority we have in crypto, after it then follows other alts, we cant go for altcoins without having investment in bitcoin first, then if am to also consider about other crypto coins, then i will definitely consider the first 10 altcoins from the order of CMC and make them my plan B of investment.

Bitcoin should be the dominant crypto asset in your portfolio because it's the mother of all altcoins. Nothing can ever beat it, so it's definitely a top choice. Taking the top CMC is indeed a conservative decision, but the gains aren't always significant every cycle. I only take a few of the Top 10, and the remaining 5% of my portfolio is altcoins in lower market caps for higher upside potential.

When we talk about "altcoins", even the top ones like ETH and BNB and SOL are all altcoins, sure they are too high, and some people do not like them because of high cap and the possibility of making 10x return is not there.

People want coins that they can make x10 from, but that is not guaranteed and you will more likely lose all your money.

But those top names will make a lot of money on the long term, I can buy them today, with full knowledge and trust that in 10 years all of those three coins will be higher than today and be doing great.
